    It was not a win and in scenario. We needed either the Jets to lose to the Rams or the Broncos to lose to a Colts team resting their starters plus a Bills win. The Jets did end up losing to the Rams in OT but the Bills game ended before the Jets game went to OT and thus the Jets took some starters out as the game became meaningless for them.

    Score effects would change how NE would be playing as well. They would be playing to score at end instead of take a knee and play calling and strategy would be different from their end.

    I was 15 as well at the time. Me and my younger brother were both watching the game in my parents little office/tv room. The titans were certainly the better team all game and as much as I hate to admit it they did deserve the win. The only caveat I take from that infamous play is I was surprised that a flag wasn’t thrown for a forward lateral, being as close as it was, and then when they did the review there wouldn’t have been enough evidence to overturn the play. Replay was so new at the time though so who knows what would’ve happened anyway. Great write up though and it definitely hit on most of my opinions of that game. Let’s get the win today though!

    Yes he was very much a raw product coming out and he was always gonna take the most time out of all the 18’ prospects

    A lot of “inaccuracy” is based on poor decision making and trying to force things. Very common for young QBs. Footwork, which is very coachable, also has a big determination on ball placement and throwing accuracy
