  1. great call on Pike, the best special teams player in the league at the time was Tasker, but number two was Pike on the same team.
  2. Over rated Don Beebe- filled a big role for us but when they mention Reed Lofton Beebe - umm no. Price thought he was a number one found out he wasn't Under rated Nate Odomes was really good, Fred Smerlas was tremendous, Eric Moulds playing with a mess of quarterbacks was very productive
  3. Met Leon Seals in a Kansas City shopping mall - they played a Monday night game. Couldn't have been nicer, was a bit suprised I knew who he was.
  4. it's all about the weapons and getting the ball to them, an often injured Stevie Johnson and no other receiving threat would do all Qb's in.
  5. Howard is a hard listen or read, the topper was the look at the season Kassian's having two weeks into the NHL season. No follow up article to discuss Kassian ending up with the same totals he had then at the end of the year. Howards just a whiner
  6. Parcells for sure and he's got a touch of Bud Grant
  7. absolutely..I did a little investigating per google.....it's not sour grapes the guy is recovering slower than expected
  8. yes their "the way we hear it" columns were accurate and informational...like the radio version as well. Hub is a good football guy through and through
  9. if in fact those number do represent a round grading of sorts then we know why Dallas has been brutal
  10. and when you have a ball hawk you use him
  11. look at the Patriots running back who ran for 200 + then was suspended for PED's...they kept the win. Did the PED's have anything to do with it ? Well they take them because they work not for the side effects.
  12. pass interference called with a more consistent overall decision, what is in one game is not in another. Or the guy on the play no flag but the guy 30 yards away throws his-- not your call and it's such a huge penalty to call from 30 yards away you better be damn sure it was a penalty
  13. i will say in my opinion its been one positive move after another with very few negative moves, last couple years seems to have been at best equal or more nagative moves. Atleast I fell that they will certainly will have more NFL caliber players on the field
  14. Urban Meyer ?......that's like saying I want my big league team to copy the successful AAA team. Different league and not comparible As for the Steeler way - yes win on defese, I've said many times we get caught up with quarterback play but look at the steelers record when the opponent scores 21 points or more with Ben at QB they are 3-12 since 2010. They win on defense
  15. yes that's been the problem not Fitz AS much as no other legit NFL wideouts on the roster - easy to take a guy away and he's still put up good numbers
  16. our roster is SOOO much better than it was when he took over, Nix did a great job bring in talent. You need the QB and look around the league he hasn't been in the draft- if you want to crown the Wilson-Luck-Griffin trio as accomplished NFL stars after a year go ahead but I can list out a lot of one year wonders
  17. we dont have the ego's to cause a problem, even Miami last year - their big deal was Chad Johnson that they eliminated we just don't have that guy who has a story.
  18. just off the cuff...carolina, miami at jets at cleveland cincy kc jets jags miami -are all up for grabs pickem games 6-3 5-4 7-2 tampa atlanta baltimore are not automatic losses 2-1 or 1-2 new england pitt new england at saints - pretty tough wins although 1 of 4 wouldnt be shocking I dont see 3-13 unless the defense is worse than last year
  19. amazing people can leave Thurman Thomas out- he's the best player we've ever had. Thurman--Bruce Smith--Jim Kelly--.......____________ you could go Reed, OJ, Joe D, Tasker or even Hull....I would go Tasker
  20. what is really something to think about is the crappy qb's Moulds played with from Todd Collins, Doug Flutie, Rob Johnson, Alex Van Pelt, Bledsoe, JP Losman, Kelly Holcomb and still put up good numbers ...a better player than most of us realize
  21. They franchised him- he is paid at or near the top for his positiion. Byrd wants to break the bank and he's at a position where that isn't going to happen - nothing to do with the Bills but all having to do with the position he plays. That being said I love him playing for us and I sure want to lock him up
  22. its been years since the Bills have made multiple moves that in MY opinion were good moves and weren't hopeful reclamation projects, that the draft day wasn't okay at best but actually played it perfectly. I'm excited at this point and going to enjoy the optimism until they show me a reason not to.This wasn't a three year rebuild
  23. the wide receivers are the key for me ...on paper it looks like we might have legit guys to throw to. Along with Fred and CJ - gives whoever plays QB a chance. Now if the defense can hold the opponent under 50 it could be good times ahead.
