  1. -minus the one Matt Cassell magical year. yep that one magical year.....its's been all Brady. Taking marginal players making them work, taking malcontents making them work. Covering for poor free agent moves and terrible drafts-- Brady is the reason New England has been so good.
  2. lets remember you said this a year from now...throwing darts. Marrone's the right guy, do some researched he's respected by everyone but this ridiculous fan base and the pathetic WGR radio geeks
  3. Polian is a good football guy, still in touch with today's NFL it's not like he's unplugged and coming back 15 years later. He knows like EVERY other NFL guy Marrones a good coach this comment should give you and idea as to what Polian thinks..,........ “Doug Marrone, the Bills’ head coach, should be very much in the running for coach of the year,” Polian said on ESPN earlier this month. “The Packers are a much better team, but they weren’t yesterday in Ralph Wilson Stadium, and that’s to Doug Marrone’s credit, that’s to [defensive coordinator] Jim Schwartz’s credit and that team’s credit.”..... so IF he comes back ..save your sleeping bags for someone else this group knows what they are doing and based off the opinions of NFL people - you don't IF he doesn't Marrone is so well respected he's not going anywhere like it or not.
  4. both...we not going to have a losing season to build off of, On offense. One tackle is 23 the other is 22 both are pretty good and only going to get better. One starting wide out is 21 the other is 22 same deal already talented and no qb to work with. On defense you have a young fantastic defense that will be very good for awhile. Compare us to other teams and quit your crying - ya lets fire the coach thats all we know and THAT has worked beautifully for 15 years.
  5. who in their right mind judges a draft pick after one year? well other than WGR of course
  6. you always put up good numbers playing catch up football and the giants have played a ton of catch up football
  7. only meaningless if we win...if we lose then we'll cry
  8. bad teams would change it ....like we used to
  9. of course he's working on Marrone coming back he's trying to help build a successful team you don't get rid of the guy who's turned the culture and put in a non losing season for the first time in 10 years...but some act like we have an all pro qb and should be winning more.
  10. CJ's durability is a major concern (no not the colar bone), he's also got something tweeked or injured. Can't pick up blitz to save his life in a word clueless, poor hand out of the backfield, has become a fumbler. Not a 20 carry a game guy Chan was right all along - It's a shame because he seems like a great dude and likes being here.
  11. lets pick an OC with a solid to good or even great veteran quarterback, those guys always seem to be good offensive coordinators. Don't take the coordinator with the bad quarterbacks they don't seem to be as good. most importantly can they bring that good qb with them ?
  12. typical guy who comes in when your lost as an orginzation....Lombardi, Casserly, Ron Wolfe, Ernie Accorsi. This is what worries me about Pegula - leave things alone the ole "consultant" puts money in his pocket and he walks away the team in terrible shape.
  13. seattle forced him to grow up as well as league rules....
  14. this is CLASSIC WGR material...game doesnt matter who cares.....unless they lose - then all they will talk about is how far away the Bills are from the Pats. Hopefully most of you can think for yourself beating New England would be a good win anytime anyplace. its pretty simple guys best players play -
  15. good organization keeps him....the clown ones dump him. I prefer to think with Peg's at the top and Whaley with him we have a pretty good organization
  16. what he's saying is if we finish 8-8 or 9-7 we have had a good season and a great building block. I know as a fan base we don't have a clue how to build a winning team but firing the coach every 1 or 2 years doesn't do it. Quit your crying and step back...he's changed the culture, changed how they handle things its a much more professional team. They have some roster short comings on offense that were impossible to hide. Those short comings put games in the loss column, It's not the ridiculous we never go for it ..that's an argument for meat heads on WGR. A radio arguments about our offensive guards won't take place so they don't talk about it. Well respected NFL people with the experience of building a team have thought and said Marrone has done a great job to keep them competitive playing 15 meaningful games. That IS where it starts - if you can think for yourself you will realize there shouldn't be any other thought than Marrone is back and so is Whaley.
  17. D coordinator deserve an A....your secondary has shifted Cory Graham from corner to nickle to safety and back to corner. You have had injuries to McKelvin and Searcy and Duke Williams having to play Ron Brooks and our boy Rambo and continue to play GREAT defense. Replace Byrd some thought that we can't do that...Aaron Williams is turning into a real leader. The linebackers start the year with how do we do anything without Kiko and end up with a fantastic year from Bradham playing a new position and Preston Brown a rookie went from looking lost in week 1 to looking like an 8 year vet by week 10. Spikes has been used perfectly. Defensive line is obviously a wrecking ball when the opposing team is passing -god if we ever got to play with a lead- but on the other hand the two DE have a difficult time setting an edge especially Hughes - great pass rusher but used in the run game. Manny Lawson is quality depth. The D tackles are the reason this defense is so good- Both Kyle Williams and Dereus are great players. Charles and Bryant to me are dime a dozen type guys I hope they can upgrade some depth. Lastly we have played a really tough schedule with very little to no offensive help, like I said our leads happen with 24 seconds left. Jim Schwartz A+ Offense- is a lot more complicated than Orton stinks and Hackett calls a bad game- although both true
  18. again list out the plays that work with a terrible and unathletic offensive line.....
  19. thank god you mentioned this....took over a loaded teams with #1 picks all over the field - he's a descent coach but he's not gonna out coach anyone, he's looking to be the coach/gm with total control ....not here bud. AND he's available why again??????
  20. so hard to look good with a tire fire to the left AND a tire fire to the right, ALTHOUGH i think we've all watched Wood get pushed around more than ever. He's atleast a capable NFL lineman put some other guys around him your probably fine. It's really one cookie two cookie. Fix left guard, fix right guard
  21. Other than Jerry what owners say anything during a season ?
  22. completing what 45% ? He's got a long way to go, and his road games are horrible. So they are trying to break in rookie qb are you okay with 4-12 for a couple years? And not fire the coach?
  23. Meyer is simply a great recruiter...goes out and collects the best players he can find (legally or illegally) as far as coaching.....don't need to this is college football it's isolations and my guy is better than yours. Unfortunately College football doesnt work in the NFL - good AAA success though but this is the majors
  24. I dislike Cutler as much as anyone- but when you look at the options at quarterback LEAGUE wide we have to consider it. For coach Marrone is he getting a new extended contract or is it a one year make or brake. If its a make or brake you gotta look into bringing in Cutler if not time to break EJ in. For those doing the I don't want him- which I get .....take a look around who are you going to bring in?....yep Cutler looks even better (sadly) On the otherside he could be awesome it's not talent he lacks its everything else
  25. as fans we don't understand how to react to a winner, so we do what we always do. After so many seasons of looking to the draft in October many of our brains are trained that way. Like our reaction to oh no we don't have our first round pick !! Our selections just keeping it in the 2000's CJ Spiller, Eric Wood, Maybin, McKelvin, McCargo,Whitner, Erik Flowers, JP, McGahee, Mike Williams....and this year I don't get to add to it !!??? we will learn because were gonna be forced to ..Marrone knows what he's doing and how to build a winner (even minus an actual qb)
