At some point, is someone in the FO accountable?
CardinalScotts replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaley has been great, roster is loaded. They spent a fifth round pick on Karlos not a first or even a second but a fifth so everyone needs to slow down. Did this team look distracted today ? There professional football players, these things don't distract them. The guy in the same positional group might get a little juice knowing well that one out of the way. seriously fifth round pick and we act like he was the number 3 pick over all - were ridiculous As for Marcel I'm glad he's doing something different trying to change his path. All we can do is support him and back him for game #5 this roster is talented enough and Rex is a good enough coach to over come Marcel for 4 games and Karlos, we're loaded at RB he will be an after thought. As for injuries as I stated when it happened A vet to start wll be better than Shaq and Brown is a good player to fill for Ragland. Like it or not there going to be fine -
This guys looks like the Bills' #3 WR.
CardinalScotts replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its not thin at all you have a couple guys who have proven they can play in Boykin 680 yd season with the packers and 49 receptions and Greg Little with three years in a row albeit going down 60-50-40 rec......these guys there is no concern can the do it...they already have -
just an example using are most accomplished coach: When he was named head coach of the Buffalo Bills he negotiated his own deal for $200,000, and in '96, his last season before retiring, he still was making less than $1 million, even after taking his team to four straight Super Bowls. Sam Wyche who was coaching for one of the most frugal owners in the league Paul Brown was making 1 million a year for the last 4 years. Gregg Williams out as Bills head coach heads to Washington in 2004: The Redskins made Williams the highest-paid defensive coordinator in the NFL, at $1.8 million a year. That's about an $800,000 raise over what Williams was getting as head coach in Buffalo. A $5.1 million 3 year contract Monte Kiffin got from the Bucs less than an hour before he was to board a flight for a weekend interview with 49ers general manager Terry Donahue. Buffalo coach Gregg Williams, Herm Edwards of the Jets and Bill Callahan of Oakland all earn less than will Kiffin under his new deal. Lou Saban, Chuck Knox both left over money unless we were dumping truckloads of money in the drive way of Kay Stephenson, Hank Bullough, or Dick Jauron ya he was extremely cheap the list of the head coaches tells you that and even cheaper with assistant coaches which is why some of they offensive minds have been Jim Ringo, Joe Pendry, Mike Sheppard, Tom Clements, Steve Fairchild, Turk Schonert and defensive guru's like Jimmy Carr, Bob Zeman, Don Lawrence, Herb Paterra, Jerry Gray you get what you pay for or in this case what he didn't. This isn't a I hate Ralph rant it's a understand what took place for 17 playoff appearances in 54 years thank god for the Kelly years or it would be 8 in 43. Statue yes thanks for keeping this team here, a stadium named after you? ehhh used to be back when we lost all the time.

do some fn research bud...always the lowest or next to lowest paid head coaches and DEAD ASS last for assistants and by quite a bit. Your wrong it's a fact
-
Ralph kept the team in Buffalo and for that we all say a huge thank you.......other than that a terrible owner who wouldn't pay head coaches, assistant coaches or scouts I'm not gonna keep going but one word synonymous the Ralph losing. 80-112 .417 winning percentage rounding up That should make him roll over in his grave but guess what it wont. Time for a fresh start - looks great !

How will you refer to the stadium?
CardinalScotts replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if Ralph were a good owner it stays the Ralph and the name the field, but Ralph was not a good owner so.....New Era Stadium -
yes and call into wgr ASAP
-
why are we all so upset with the players it's Rex Ryans fault- were not talking about grown men - these are children and Rex is in charge
-
hes a long way off from entertaining thoughts of being a NFL qb BUT-- he plays with emotion, doesn't let a bad throw bother him, has some pocket awareness and at the same time will hang in. All the things we wanted Manuel to have and almost completely opposite. we all know he needs work and time and thankfully he will get both

OMG how good is the show with Riter...if they added Riter full time booted Schopp and had Mathew instead of fn Howard in the morning they would have something -
Question regarding National News Sources
CardinalScotts replied to AtlBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
local guy Sal C, is about the only one who isn't a lazy pile, and knows the game and the league. I'm not a WGR fan unless its Mathew, or Brad or Sals on the rest are essentially worthless. -
I loved Fitz, if we had any type of defense when he was here we may have been able to break the playoff drought. That being said there is no way he will repeat his 2015 this season. 1) he's is a inconsistent player always has been 2) there schedule is brutal
-
he's a great coach but Brady has been their key to success, nowhere near the dynasty. I think we overrate winning coaches and pile on losing coaches to much. So many variables change a lot of things. When Brady first came in they had the best defense in the league they were 47-14 in Brady's first 4 years while he average 220yds passing. As he grew as a player the defense got older switched out players and still was usually very good (that's bellechik) but they turned into one of the top offenses over the next 5 years (thats brady)...and have been able to "scratch out" 12-4 seasons the last years while replacing offensive players (that's brady). Also can not be ignored leading a super competitive league where turnovers are HUGE in winning and losing they have been able to fumble less than anyone over and over (that's bellechik)

Worried about our ILBs in coverage?
CardinalScotts replied to Cover 1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ya thats why New England does it, its a B word to cover.......Patriots do not only beat the Bills -
Bills need to use Sammy in the slot!
CardinalScotts replied to Cover 1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
to have success in the slot you have to have two guys on the outside who are borderline good -
I'd hate to count on the game and have him in the game plan because he is out of the lineup SO much. But.....Tyrod throws such a good deep ball it could be bombs away. Hell we threw deep to Hogan many many times without the payoff though- albeit being mugged never drew a flag and dropped too many right in the hands

ABSO FREAKING LUTELY....god love Ralph for keeping the Bills here but he was a terrible owner. This is year 2 of Pegula's ownership that's the way I look at it as well. Guys on this team who were 5 or 6 year old kids 16 years ago - you would have to be a moron to blame them. They have NOTHING to do with it- this ain't Ralphs Bills.

this here ^ are you kidding me Estelle?

Jason Cole report on Doug Whaley
CardinalScotts replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
did you listen to Terry Pegula on Murphy after Kim Pegula earlier this camp, essentially short of a miserable 2-14 season no one is going anywhere. End of story - straight from the horses mouth done. -
Optimism - or lack thereof
CardinalScotts replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lawson for Lawson : Manny playing for Shaq is a push at this point in Shaq's career maybe even a slight lean towards Manny Spikes/hawthorne, brown for Ragland : Subbing is what Rex does well, they will cover for him, I'm not sure Spikes has a lot left but I do like Hawthorne. Text book run fill guy but is flexible having played MIK and outside. I'm more disappointed the top 2 picks both are injured but I'm not anywhere near despair. Year two with same guys they will be fine
