  1. Patriots go get Moss, Welker, Fred Taylor, Sammy Morris, Chris Baker, on O ...Brandon McGowan, Seau, Gary Guyton, Adalius Thomas, Shawn Springs come to mind for NE.....ravens, chargers have built from within Giants have signed plenty of players the big difference with all these teams is they weren't missing the key piece at QB.....
  2. we HAVE to get the entire culture turned around and you can only do that by winning football games as fast as possible. This is the NFL in 2010 not 1983, very few build from the ground up. You patch where you can build where you can and win as soon as you can. If you get into the playoffs you CAN win it as it's been proven over the last couple years. Go get him - nothing hire than a two though. If we don't were going to draft a guy that what we hope will someday be as good as McNabb is even now.
  3. I agree and 2 and maybe a 3 or 4 next year
  4. Well he's better than Edwards but...well you know
  5. Who developed this model of trading your best playesr. FACT is when Lee has had a QB his numbers have been great when he has not had a QB like every other wide reciever his numbers are down. Again you can't throw it to yourself
  6. I'd Keep Incognito, probably about it Reed for sure GONE!!!!
  7. Ive watched every game Suh played at Nebraska, I live in Nebraska. I have my concerns his first move from the snap of the football is to stand straight up. He's not going to play DT he will be a DE and the speed he can run at is unbelievable. At 300 pounds he's like Levon Kirkland if he played LB. Also he is not a wrecking ball of a pass rusher in the huskers scheme he often played the spy on the quarterback and if he took off (like they often do in college) Suh would run him down. I wouldn't take him with our first round pick because of the lack of leverage way he plays. The good - he's a tackling machine, smart, wants to be great, and heck of a guy I guess. But not a penetrating pass rush guy
  8. are you looking for a good player for the next 10 years ? I'm not I'll take one for next year
  9. I had a good idea things weren't gonna work out when I heard "The Buffalo Bills select quarterback Trent Edwards Stanford" .......seriously the Cleveland game on Monday night last year I thought - Oh boy this guy doesn't have it either.
  10. You are absolutely nowhere as a team until you have the quarterback situation resolved. I would give our number one for McNabb if I had to. I will almost always take proven over question mark every time. With that settled we can move on otherwise no matter what else we do everything will revolve around the hole at quarterback. Our number one pick will not solve 10% of what's wrong with this team but McNabb can make our o-line look better, get back to having weapons at wide receiver get their eight out of the box and use our tight end. Also take the pressure of "Don't let up ten points or its over" off the defense.
  11. Most good QB's at one time played behind a crappy O-line but it wasn't the reason they lost their starting position to a career back up. Most guys learn from it and make adjustments. Most guys get tougher from it "hike up the britches and get the job done". Most guys show the rest of the team dig deep fellas I'll pull us out of this. Then there is Trent standing next to the LONG SNAPPER all game- during the chiefs game. That is when I knew they all hate him and his career here as well as anywhere else was over.
  12. He had a good running attack and two talented wideouts and still couldnt make it work. Yes the line was poor and then got worse (actually Fitz in the one who felt this part)...he's a sack waiting to happen. Like I have said his career isn't just over in Buffalo he'll be out of the league
  13. Met him in a Kansas City Shopping Mall on a Monday afternoon when they were playing the Chiefs on Monday night. Really nice guy - wished him luck and then Okoye ran over them all night
  14. They scored 20 or more 7 out of 11 games as a first year starter on a crappy team. Last year we scored 20 or more 6 times in a sixteen game schedule with two veteran quarterbacks. When we put up atleast 20 the only game they lost was New England.
  15. Classic example- high pick- given job please be good please be good. Skins would have been better off with Thigpen
  16. I'm sorry but you can't throw the ball to yourself it takes a quarterback. As sad as this statement is it's true. Orton is a legend compared to Edwards and Fitzpatrick and Losman
  17. He's a seventh round draft pick from Coastal Carolina, after the season Pioli came in and brought his quarterback from his former team. Most late drafted qb's don't get a fair shake because somewhere on the roster is a high drafted guy who makes alot more money. They have more invested in him they want him to succeed. Thigpen went from starting the season as a third string to starting how many guys can do that ? He's only 25 and has had personal success rather than "he's been with two team so he must stink" how about "football god Bill Parcells wanted him enough to trade for him" I think he's another good option - will he wow this board? nope nobody will but they will win games. Can't trade Incognito he's going to be starting at guard.
  18. WIth a descent QB were in the playoffs LAST year- not ready to win the super bowl yes but not ready to go 10-6 or 11-5 yes we are. Just look back at last years games
  19. Go get McNabb he will flourish in Gailey's system and then you have 5 years to get and break in a franchise quarterback. Doesn't have to be this year, why force something you don't believe in. We're not good enough where the first round pick doesn't play despite what Jauron thought. IF--Maybin can play it's almost like a bonus pick this year. I would take a big NT/DT and get that squared away. If our Offensive line has the starters healthy it's a descent line an actual NFL quarterback would show us that.
  20. Checking down is often a great option only because the other defensive players are down field covering the downfield receivers. But when guys are open down the field and you never throw it to them check downs are all you do the defense comes into the game knowing that, then it doesn't work out.
  21. An actual coach will make a huge difference. IF they can bring in a capable vet QB like a Thigpen playoffs are certainly right there
  22. He was done two years ago -but he does win games sorta like Orton. Play on a defensive football team do not turn it over hit the tight end every now and then. Not gonna do anything playoff time but he might get you there. I still vote no
  23. He'll make the switch and continue being a great player
