He is the answer- last time he put up 30 on the pats you want him to play defense too ? Not sure what you want out of your QB that he doesnt give you
-
I think a good performance in the last three games would get a few more on board, but then again we could win each game by 28 and Fitz play great and still some will think we still need to draft a QB in the first round. I think they are kidding themselves thinking we'll get another Payton Manning. Do you watch other games every QB throws bad passes and horrible picks (except Brady). Is he inaccurate - yes at times but if your going to point out he's off target at times then you also have to notice he runs very well and he's tough as hell. In my opinion his biggest positive is his throws on third down rarely does he dump to the TE or FB in the flat on third and nine. A completion percentage of 58-59 might be a little low compared to the 61-62 we all want, but I wouldn't trade it for someone has no feel for a pass rush or can't take a hit. I will also throw in it's his first year in a new offense against a brutal - brutal schedule. If the season ended today they will have played every division winner in the AFC and the two wildcards. While in the NFC 2 of the 4 games are against 1 division winner and the wildcard. We focus to much on winning especially this year when blaming the QB they have 10 losses 5 by 6 or less. Lastly seven times we've given up 30 or more points. They are building it the right way and to be good for a while. It's a three year process, next year in year two I believe we will make a playoff push and be there in 2012. Fitz is a year younger than Rivers in San Diego he is the future.

what if he's not

we ? this is Buddy Nix on the clock he can't be held responsible for other front office moves

30 td's in 14 starts would work out to just over 34 for a sixteen game season.

You just hit on it ...the third down plays, and throws he has made has allowed this team to compete. Also the rushing yards are a lost stat

Defensive Adjustments or new coordinator

funny though when other teams shut down bad offenses all we hear is how good "their" defense was -
Say Something Positive about the 2010 Bills
CardinalScotts replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The are playing everyone will know after this season are the NFL players or just names on a sheet of paper. They also aren't afraid to make a judgement as not good enough and remove them. -
Ole cut and paste Sully- hey dude you wrote this same column last year

Not as far away as some may think...
CardinalScotts replied to Armchair GM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are pretty close to competing for the 5 or 6 spot for the 2011 season. Pitt isnt great, Baltimore again not great, the west is likely to have one playoff team for awhile even if I'm wrong do you fear the chiefs or raiders ? Ar they further along than we are or just playing a much weaker schedule. Jacksonville is a nice club but not good, Indy is on a huge slide with Manning going into year fifteen. That leaves the Dolphins who have a little better D than we do and a more physical O-line. Anybody want Chad Henne ? - they don't either. Or the Jets what a blessed existence they have had this year. A miracle in about 4 spots are they are going to struggle to be .500. The wild card teams are not that much in front of us (and others) and the division leaders don't scare anyone either. The only team that continues to roll along is New England -
Ganther penalty/fine

If you don't want to be hit do NOT put the uniform on- he sure as hell would have tried to make the tackle if it presented itself. Nothing bush league about it -
Spiller's Future in Buffalo
CardinalScotts replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love Fred make no mistake about it- Spiller is a homerun threat every time he touches it, jeez guys give him some time to adjust not only to the league but this is a pass happy offense he needs to know his blitz pickups etc. He's going to be great lets let him get 12-15 games under the belt. -
Is D.Bell the LT of the future?
CardinalScotts replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nope - but move him to right tackle -
Roscoe Should he stay or go ?
CardinalScotts replied to I hate the Bills !'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he was on pace for 66 receptions - Roscoe Parrish with 66 receptions. At the time of his injury his last three games he combined for 19 receptions YES he was getting better every week. it's called blitz pick up, he'll get there and he'll be dynamic -
Roscoe Should he stay or go ?
CardinalScotts replied to I hate the Bills !'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
throw the career numbers in the trash can they don't matter. What matters now are his head coach likes him and up until the injury he was have a tremendous year and getting better each game. He's not going anywhere. Get a tight end Chan can work magic with them too when he has a good one- not with the top five pick we have to get a pass rusher either at LB or DE -
Kind of a weird game, never did I feel like we were getting dominated. Seemed like a lack of concentration and our tackles aren't very good. Every year you can expect two clunkers first one -jets second one-vikings. The turnovers gave us no chance, combined with the drop passes and terrible protection. Anyones fault today except Fitz he played fairly well made several great throws - they either droppped it or fumbled it.

Put up or shut up for Maybin
CardinalScotts replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our LB's are so pedestrian to sat the least, not sure why Maybin hasn't been in there anyway it's not like this is a shut down D. Same for Troup and Carrington atleast through injury Edwards is going to be forced to play some young guys. I've been impressed with the effort so far this year and the way Chan has changed the offense against one hell of a schedule. Defensively I haven't been as thrilled especially with the younger players not playing -
As a huge Husker fan...do not touch him he would be a project at best, he is a junior. Cannot beat a tackle he's actually a DE they will slide inside from time to time and work with some blitz packages. This guy is not the pass rushing DE we need I would take their kicker in a second though.
-
this cuts both ways....on the field longer your going to tire out give up more yards and rank low. He's had a good year so far not great but pretty good. Your safety isn't going to prevent the running attack the way the Bills LB's and defensive line have given it up part b he can jump in the air as long as it's third down and he bats it down. It was a stop they punted....many many many times i've seen us while trying to sack the qb he dumps the pass off to a RB and he goes 15-20 yards an a first down. I'll take the stop

Do you even dignify this with a response. This makes you think WTF does a guy gotta do. Gailey is the right guy- how many confirmations from writers and fans do you need ? unless this was a joke

What did you do when Stevie dropped the TD?
CardinalScotts replied to UB2SF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stood up and Yelled "Yea baby" then said oh noooo and dropped to the ground -
that's exactly right some of us forget how it was the line, the recievers, the running backs, no tightend, etc. etc. etc. THe proof is in he pudding Edwards he has to be thinking ...How is fitz doing it

that's the sobering part the others are worse...he's the best of the bunch.
