Nix and Gailey are in year two and doing well...there is no rush to sign guys they are STILL out there. If it looks like we need and ILB we will go get one - bang Barnett.....if it looks like we need a OT they will get one. The opinons that the line is a mess seems to go back to Edwards at QB. Since his departure the crappy offensive tackle talk has stopped. Until this preseason again

Vegas set Bills at 5.5 wins for over/under
CardinalScotts replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
all i heard last year was i only see one win, how can we compete etc. Instead we win 4 and I can gave you the Dolphins, Ravens, Chiefs, Bears, Steelers as games that they not only could have won but should have won. The schedule this year is easier -, also second year players make a huge jump you can't lump them in with rookies. -
Cowherd AFCE prognostication from today's show
CardinalScotts replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I had less respect for a guys opinion on the Buffalo Bills I don't know who would be below Cowherd...couldn't name you three Buffalo Bills if he had to. -
Poz is younger....everything else including running speed points to Barnett EVERYTHING else

The only thing that bothers me with ESPN is that the inaccuracy is just allowed. During NFL season NFL network is on if I'm watching TV. ESPN radio I haven't had the stomach for ....in quite a while

Weakest part of team looks weaker.
CardinalScotts replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly why do you HAVE to bring a dime a dozen guy like Nick Barnett in for example ? All we'll be is upset with the lack of plays he can make. I would rather try the Moats experiment if it doesn't work there is plenty of time to sign a FA or wait for cuts and grab a guy. Middle LB's who are difference makers are hard to find- I didn't want Poz back he brings nothing. Sounds back when you say lost a starter but our defense was ranked 31st not all his fault but would we be pumped if he was in the middle again ? -
ya not sure what happened - he did have 1 not 0 - but part of being a ball hawks is always being in the right place at the right time not making jumping, diving, unreal interceptions. Luke at Troy P with the steelers most of his picks are deflections or thrown right to him or a result of pressure. I'm not sure i've ever seen him rob a wideout

Brad Smith...Update...signs with Buffalo
CardinalScotts replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roscoe was on Pace for about 70 receptions last year, had a great year he's not going anywhere. Without a viable tightend Chan will use his deep wide receiver corps. Evans- Johnson- Parish along with Nelson and Smith. Donald Jones and Roosevelt Naaman are probably out, if they only carry one tight end your could see Easley. Parish ? not only making it but starting in the three wideout set. -
typical ESPN - havent watched a Bills game in years no idea who's on the team

Strong chance that the Jets

I'll bet my 5 wideouts can beat your 5 defensive backs -

Bills fan response chart to free agency
CardinalScotts replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agreed - the problem is the local media follows suit -
I've tried to be a Poz supporter but he can not shed blocks, cover anyone and hangs on more than tackles. Gone back and forth on the no players in front of him argument. Just don't lock him up for more than 2 years. 1-2 and 4 are great points. Andra Davis can't run either, your really hoping for Shepard, Moats and Merriman can help out.

He's a poor man Phil Hansen at best, he works hard - motor guy also a white guy. But he's not in Phil Hansen's class, Phil wasn't great but he was good. Kelsay isn't anywhere near the word good, dime a dozen d -lineman I do think he is good in the locker room from what I've heard and read. If we were loaded on D he could do his thing and avoid some criticism, basically meaning the pile of good players would cover for the pile of run of mill players. When you don't have the good players the other guys are going to feel the heat of doing nothing.

Bucky Brooks calls Merriman signing
CardinalScotts replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
virtually all FA singing are a sign of desperation because- they guy you drafted a couple of years ago didn't pan out, or someone left via free agency and you in a bit of a panic to fill the hole. I applaud the Bills for rolling the expensive dice - it's something we needed to do -
I like Gailey, but what was he thinking
CardinalScotts replied to BillsLux's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- not going to be very good, showcase Lynch and get him the hell out of here -
Why does ESPN do this, with all the ex-players they have on their network they push Tim Hasselbeck and his opinions on you. The guy has played in 5 nfl games his entire life. Those came in 2003 with Spurrier and only because the options were Patrick Ramsey, Gibran Hamdan, or Rob Johnson. They did the same with Salisbury the guy barely played, but with each passing year it was like he played another 20 games. Or when they check with Chris Carter during superbowl week, asking him about super bowl jitters ??? What super bowl was Chris Carter in? Same with baseball Orestes Destrade, Chris Singleton, Edwardo Perez - these guys might have been winter ball hall of famers but Ravy is asking them tell me what is wrong with Jose Bautista's swing. Respect of thoughts is - zero

Bills' Fitzpatrick Ranks Poorly Under Pressure
CardinalScotts replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
all quarterbacks don't play well under a pass rush Mr Hall of famer three super bowl rings Brady, how did he look in the playoffs with a pass rush in his face. not exactly breaking news, bad O-line = bad qb atleast stat wise- the fact you could compete despite no line actually is a plus not a minus -
Drafts over. What free agents should we go after?
CardinalScotts replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
great link- couldn't help notice Kirk Chambers is just sitting there - sitting there waiting to be called. Have to beat the pats to it -
How in the name of God does Phil Hansen...
CardinalScotts replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree we are not retiring his number or calling him the best bill ever....just a damn good player who played his heart out every week. 11 years same team - only 3 losing seasons not an all time NFL great but one of our last 30years ? Yes. -
5 reasons to re-sign Drayton Florence
CardinalScotts replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course we're not in the defensive huddle but Florence to me looks like a leader on the side of the ball that needs leaders I would keep him. -
Chan/Buddy might need more to turn this team around
CardinalScotts replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chiefs are a farce haven't heard anyone say anything but, Raiders Bengals still a mess, skins about the same, cowboys a wildcard 2 games against dolphins both winable titans broncos also able to get that's 9 if you can get to 9 catch someone flat or pull an upset and were at 10 -
and they are 200 guys to fill those shoes in free agency

The bills would have likely taken Gabbert
CardinalScotts replied to auburnbillsbacker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fox Sports Radio yesterday during the draft also reported the Bills would have taken Cam Newton if available..the Von Miller ...than Dareus....went as planned for the first three. But if Newton was there the Bills were going to take him.
