  1. check Wade's coaching record- bad is not correct. He has a good winning percentage and 2 losing records in 9 years. I'm not saying in any way bring in Wade leave Chan alone but Wade gets grouped into good DC -which he is and bad HC which Wade is not. Just sayin - look it up
  2. ya in the depression of a disappointing season I think we have over looked just how good Fred is. He was arguably the best back in the league, and he can do EVERYTHING. I think we've watched CJ get better and better, and that is encouraging but Fred is something else - again beyond belief. The age thing is a barrier I would trade him for a #2 or a cluster of picks or a pass rushing LB-DE or a true number one wide out. Otherwise keep him and we have a very good one-two punch for a couple more years. ALSO Lynch- I always like his effort running style and he's had a good year especially fantasy numbers but it's his contract year. He has questionable character which some seem to forget - he wrote his own ticket out of town. I wouldn't take him back over Fred or Spiller right now.
  3. maybe they might have something here, the snaps weren't exactly on target but he was a mauler as a blocker. Too bad Bell can't stay healthy the tackle combo made Dumberville and Miller disappear - thats not easy to do. Woods good, LeVitre is descent, Urbik is prett descent, Pears is descent its that other tackle- Hairston has look bad at time and good at time. Bell is the better player but a free agent, the only problem is someone has always been out and Rinehart who isnt at the other guys level played about every week.
  4. wow thats called an addict...I'll pray for you
  5. ya his 62% completion percentage throwing to this ridiculous group of wide outs is amazing
  6. I would rather wait another year or two and build it to last.....this will set Detroit's rebuilding back another 3-4 years
  7. great point...what do Gailey and Nix have to do with the last 12 years again? Year two steps forward questions answered, still work to do sorry your life sucks
  8. go to the games
  9. the inability to step into throws - Simms nailed it. It's not arm strength, he can't step into his throw with defensive lineman in the way. He's hasn't been sacked a lot but he is hit nearly every throw. Video points this out, and as Simms said when he can step into the throw you see what he can do (on a square in to Johnson)
  10. Gailey has had 18 years in the NFL - yep he's awful. Guys who last more than 15 years tend to just be "lucky"
  11. yes just to stop all the negative garbage.....Joe on WGR you might want to be professional and say something like "okay I was way off". Gee what do you think he'll do ?
  12. he's been pretty good in coverage too....+ good draft pick
  13. It's Ty Detmer - and I think he'll have a career much the same.
  14. Good god- Maybin isnt a good player. On the Jets defense he's a one job player, the Bills would need him to do other things he can't. It's like a loaded team adding a descent hitter who can't field- just DH and you will hit seven. While another team if they signed him would need him to play left and hit third he can't do it. In one scenario it works in another scenario it doesn't. I don't want Maybin back and he'll be out of the league in two years. Right now he's filling Jason Taylor shoes from 2010 - Taylor had 5 or 6 sacks last year this year no one wanted him
  15. Number one the niners have 7 of 11 first round picks on defense. Giving you some idea of their roster when NFL network did a Seahawks Cardinals game last year they asked the players which team had the most talent in the division 22 guys asked 18 said 49ers. They were the classic case of a poorly coached team last year. The defense doesn't play Alex Smith he's on the offense and the offense is not very good. Secondly the Packers have had 5 years to build up there depth with Rogers- they weren't great last year going 3-3 against playoff teams. They got hot at the end of the year and to their credit they rode it out. Outside of Finley and Grant and I'll throw in Nick Barnett the Packer injuries weren't the best players they have. Morgan Burnett starts now but was one of 6 guys in their rookie or second year. As well as such no name players as Justin Harrell, Spencer Havner, Brad Jones, Derrick Martin, Mike Neal, Marshall Newhouse, Anthony Smith, Josh Bell, these weren't the players that make them go. You've already seen Greg Jennings out kills the Packers ole Jordy isn't a number one. But they do have Finley to help. In short their depth is good but the injuries they had last year were not to guys they even counted on contributing minus the top three I mentioned. The one injury to Jennings hurts more than "all" the injuries last year
  16. We focus on our team for good reason but the officials have been brutal all year all over. You will also notice other QB's throw a bad pass from time to time
  17. Some of us expect the Buffalo Bills to be able to pick guys up off the street in particular at wide out and we should keep rolling. We have every right to be upset at the lack of depth and pretending Donald Jones is a legit wide receiver or David Nelson can get open - he's made some catches in tight tight coverage do to great throws from Fitzpatrick. I'm more upset that Gailey is running out Brad Smith or CJ Spiller at wide out and pretending it's fine. We plug guys in and some fans think - what's the problem Fitz ? Your basically saying that training camp is a waste of time, guys don't need the familiarity with each other, your timing together, knowing what your thinking is not something good teams have. We plug in Ruvell Martin, Derek Hagan, Naaman Roosevelt, now Mike Caussin and expect them to be the playmakers. I hear everyone say "they" have the worst group of wideouts in the NFL add us to that list. We have to add some veteran good wide outs and this offense will be very good, they have shown it. Even during the losing streak and losing players left and right they still can move the football. To dump on the quarterback and not mention wow our receivers are brutal is ridiculous. Fitzpatrick has not played great lately but he's been okay he could finish around 4000 yards 25-27 td's with this group ?? Ha Stop the quarterback criticism and look at exactly WHO is on the field with him.
  18. DE or OLB is the biggest need. Left Tackle what ? They need to go into free agency and sign a couple wide receivers and keep Stevie Johnson. If they would have had quality starters not named Donald Jones as your two with depth at wide out instead of Brad Smith, CJ Spiller, Revelle Martin, Naaman Roosevelt, Derek Hagan and then we blame Fitz for deflected interceptions. Hey guys these guys aren't NFL receivers there is no seperation, Nelson's yards after catch for entire season ? 25 maybe.
  19. Tony Gonzalez - I could of sworn he played tight end
  20. not with the salary cap Like I said before we would have wanted McCarthy fired after his 6-10 or 8-8 season
  21. the draft is seven rounds if you have a pick in every round and they all pan out that's 7 the roster is 53. If you miss like we did in Nix/Gailey first draft, your going to have to sign more free agents which they didn't do. Take someone like the Eagles.....at the bottom of the NFL on payroll for years and years and years, they try to buy a good team sign everyone they can find - did it work ? Not like they thought although they might get into the playoffs due to that weak division.
  22. Thigpen has played well in real games....preseason he hasn't but until they start counting preseason games that won't matter
  23. most teams are a product of their schedule 7-9 in that division won it last year smart *ss
