  1. Depth of the D-Line.......DT..Carrington, Troup, Herd, Edwards, Gilbert -how do they set up DE vs DT who can swing who cant DE Johnson, Batten, Eddins, Ferguson, Moore -again how many do you carry can Moore play inside ? WR Battle Aiken, Clowney, Hagan, Roosevelt, Martin, Easley, Sessions - gotta keep somebody
  2. Plenty of time yes, plenty of help NO. A crappy D playing from behind every freaking week. Needing 35 to just stay in it, combined with one target to throw to. This is the first year he's had a chance to play a potentially a good team.
  3. Ya I know what your saying although I like Pat Kirwin. Due to Flacoo being unable to play QB in the playoffs again the Ravens did not knock the Patriots out and if you don't knock them out then they get to go to the super bowl. For every Corey Dillon there are 2 Haynesworth's but no one seems to mention how especially lately Bill has missed on a lot of free agents - but if you still win despite a woops on Chad Johnson or Deion Branch part II or even drafted poorly then there isn't much to say. You just keep waiting for all that to finally kill them. They brought in Branch, now added Gafney, Stallworth and Brandon Lloyd all 31 or older but they have the double tightends to make up for it. Light retires and looks like Waters will do the same that should atleast be a concern for Brady and the fact you don't have a RB hoping Ridley might be something and this is on the good side of the ball. On Defense Jeff Fanene, and Buffalo's own Trevor Scott at DE that's terrible but the defensive tackles of Wilfolk, Warren, Brace and Love is very tough. Anderson's departure kills them. Corners have been the biggest problem had to go get Will Allen ?? Didn't know I would be doing a NE forecast but the more I look the more I see problems for Patriots. Brady has covered a lot of these problems for the last 3-4 years can he cover more problems I think it's too much. The only thing helping them is their schedule is not set up to bad they are still a 10 win team maybe 11 then again could be 9.
  4. until the injuries and Brad Smith having to go play WR the wildcat picking up short yardage was money- the previous year we could not pick up a third and short. Third and short wildcat was a great option over Fred or the deep pass
  5. seems like a good guy, can't help but pull for him - but he can not make this team if they are playoff caliber.
  6. First the QB rating is not the end all, but it is a descent measuring stick, all stats can be twisted even wins and losses Pittsburgh put up games of 0-3-14-13-17-10-7-17 that's half their games 17 or below still won four. If your giving credit to the QB your kidding yourself. Drew Brees had QB ratings of 76.9, 67.5, 104.8, 89.2 in his full seasons in San Diego before the Saints took a flyer on him off an injury. After his first two years starting the Chargers were 12-20 with Tomilson running wild. Everyone has to start somewhere although his path to a starting QB job isn't text book his first two years as a starter Fitzpatrick's ratings were 81.8 79.1 with a record of 10-22. I'm not comparing a two year starter to a 10 year starter but what I am saying is everyone has to start somewhere. You can only play one year at a time and with weapons on offense and a defense that won't have him down 21-0 or 28-0 in the first quarter I think Fitz will have a huge year. For some if he does then it's the players around him or the defense is awesome - always ready to blame never ready to credit.
  7. right on the money John I have often said Kelsey is like asking your 7 hole hitting to go hit 3 for 3 months. See how it works out
  8. based on actual real games not PRE SEASON Thigpen has played well over his career. If we are going to base things on preseason a lot of players look terrible playing with guys who are NFL players
  9. throw it to gronk and he takes it in
  10. National media does not watch Bills games there hasn't been too many reason to care for a while. That's fine but then don't write like you know who's even on our roster. Then I sit a listen to them call the quarterback Fitzgerald over and over.
  11. off the Bills roster and out of the league...he stole money the last well - just about every year. Tell me again what a tremendous blocker he was at 5-8 160
  12. the difficult thing is you can not fairly judge quarterback play in the preseason although several on this board sure do.
  13. It would be Mario both physically and mentally George Wilson can do one thing catch a tipped ball, he lousy on coverage and never hits guys like a safety. He needs to be replaced to reach the next level
  14. We have deep talent at WR finally, although some are untested but with Roosevelt Nelson Johnson Jones Hagan Graham Aiken Easley --it wouldn't shock me if Jones gets cut, he's small, constantly hurt and has bad hands Troup was a product of a bad back, I don't know if there is a worse injury for anyone but especially a big man than a back injury with all the talent along the D line I'll say Troup will play a major role in 2012. Dwan Edwards is the odd guy out and it's not his salary it's his play the dude sucks.
  15. This is tough - the 4 best not in any order OJ Simpson - HOF 3 of the best season ever in the history of the NFL Jim Kelly - HOF .635 winning %, 4 super bowls top 20 yds and td passes Bruce Smith - HOF Most sacks, most seasons of 10 sacks or more Thurman Thomas - HOF 9th in yards from scrimmage in the history of the game - could argue he is the best Bill ever most important to the Bills though Marv Levy - HOF forget his stint as GM, as head coach the guy was tremendous Lou Saban - 68-45 record and back to back titles Fred Smerlas - from 1979-1989 the bills went 76-92 Fred made 5 pro bowls during that span Andre Reed - one of the best in the league during his career Darryl Talley - the glue of the 90's teams George Saimes - never saw him play but he's on the all time AFL team must have been pretty good Tom Sestak - never saw him play but he's on the all time AFL team must have been pretty good Bill Polian - early round drafting was difficult for him but he found great late rounders and pulled the trigger on Bennett
  16. huge IF....what a player to add to the mix. I'm thinking without they are pretty good shape and then IF just another weapon
  17. Maybe a little more conservative but Chan is a gambler and so are the good offensive coaches around the league. Why throw on third and short because it's the best time to do it. If we had a kick a** line it would be different but we don't. Wood is very good and LeVitre is solid after that the rest are okay- I'm not ripping on the O-line but there is a big gap between kick butt and okay.
  18. so weak armed Fizt wont have to play from 28 down in the first every week and have to put up 38-45 to stay in the game and then we B word about the QB and the offense when 37 isn't enough
  19. David Nelson ?????? he has one role in the slot inside the 5 other than that he can't get open- and with the injuries to other wide receivers we saw that over and over. Byrd and LeVitre should both be extended not any of the others at this point.
  20. not being down 28-0 or 24-0 in the first quarter over and over because the defense "was" pathetic should help our quarterback play knowing I don't have to force throws trying to score because were going to need 30+ every game throwing to guys who are not NFL receivers.
  21. Tom Brady's first super bowl he threw for 1.49 - and he WON it...well Patriots did and he was on the team Most overblown thought how many winning SB qb's played great is a better question
  22. Great point the Browns have missed the playoffs for 11 years, so it's easy to see how the Bills would be out of the discussion and the Browns in it. Who's suprised ? I means its 12 versus 11
  23. and now we have a Defense
  24. plus per diem , traveling expenses times another 16 weeks. 70,000 becomes 90,000-100,000
