About 2 weeks ago, I mentioned to my brother that I thought Gilmore would be the pick, being a USC guy I've seen alot of tape on Gilmore. Ideally, I'd like to move down a few spots maybe pick up an extra 3rd, but if he's the pick @10 I'm good with that. He projects very well as a pro and is a very good zone corner. The WR group is much deeper than CB, and I'd rather have Gilmore and Jeffrey as opposed to Floyd / ?, add in a qb like cousins or osweiler, Wilson later on and another LT prospect and we got a solid draft.

The guy is a freak, plain and simple, would I LOVE for us to take him, yes, sadly I dont think he will be available, and I doubt we would take him if he were there. Given alshons proday today, I fear we may have to face both jeffrey and ingram twice a year, with mia taking ingram, and the jets taking jeffrey at 16.

We are better served taking Gilmore at #10 and Jeffrey @ 41. Alshon has the best hands in this draft, can climb the ladder for any jump ball, and has no problem going over the middle or blocking in the run game. You won't get better value than this scenario, 2 day one starters that can lock up their respective positions for the next 4 plus years.

Gilmore, a big physical corner, above avg ball skills, not afraid of contact, and stays healthy. Pair him with williams and an improving rogers and we got our top 3 corners for the foreseeable future.

Just a point of reference here, kirkpatrick was BURNED by everyones new fav whipping boy, Alshon Jeffrey, to the tune of 7 catches for 127 yds and 2 tds. NOw if he cant keep up with Alshon, do you REALLY want him trying to keep up with Holmes, Welker, etc I'll take Gilmore Breakdown stats

Actually, Since The University of South Carolina was was founded in 1805, and southern cal in 1880, The University of South Carolina IS the REAL USC. I cant wait to see how Alshon responds to all the Heat and skepticism. Personally, I hope he slides to us in the second rd, and we pick up Gilmore in the first, but thats just me being a homer. Wherever they go I believe all 3 of the highly touted Gamecocks will do very well.

Dont discount stephon gilmore being the pick, esp if we trade back

Alshon is a guy that is very good at finding the soft spots in the zone, he wont amaze you with a straight line 40, but he can beat a jam, find holes in the zone, and will win almost any jump ball situation. Imo, hes the typa of wr we need because we don't take alot of downfield shots, more crosses etc.

I've been calling for this pick for months. Alshon is EXACTLY the type of WR we need. The weight issues have been severely blown out of proportion IMO. He's had zero run ins with the law. His game tape speaks for itself. Personally, I think his pro day will solidify his 1st rd status, but I kinda hope he blows it so we have a chance to snag him in rd 2. As a USC Alum I'd love an All Gamecock draft of Ingram, Jeffrey, Gilmore.

Sarcasm must be lost on you, my apologies. If you recall, last yr, during and after the draft, some ppl here, voiced displeasure over buffalo drafting mostly Southern players, pointing to Nix as favoring SEC and southern players in general. Their argument was that these southern guys would struggle playing in Buffalo. My post was simply to point out the irony and idiocy in those statements.

This is rediculous, first of all we added ANOTHER southern player, utterly useless in the elements of Buffalo and second, ANOTHER Williams, Really, there are way too many williams' on this team. How will we tell them apart
