  1. I believe we are going to try to snag osweiler in the 3rd or move back into the 2nd and take him there, just a feeling.
  2. Worst case scenario for floyd would be pulling a "stallworth" and killing someone when hes behind the wheel drunk, Again.
  3. Alshon was a heavily recruited player in HS, he turned down Southern Cal among many others, the comparisons to hardy are lazy at best. And for everyone questioning his "work ethic" b/c of that picture, is was an off season photo shoot, by the time the season started he was just fine. To me Alshon is one of those guys that is being ripped apart by the media b/c of bogus scouting and half assed reportin. Much like Anquan Boldin, who I have favored him to frequently.
  4. Jeffret can high point the ball and thus can win ANY jump ball situation, so he can be open even if covered. He is not a burner, but has a knack for finding holes in the zones. IMO, he will be a good complement to Stevie
  5. Osweiler or Wilson are my two favs, or if we take one really late, Nix could roll the dice on Stephen Garcia...
  6. Manning is 1 bad hit away from Paralysis, there was good reason to sever ties. Jesus Pete, it was only 2 #1's, they SWAPPED first's this yr.
  7. I'd go with Gilmore. Has size and physicality, more tackles, ints than Kirkpatrick, plus no off field issues. He's more fitting the 10 spot than Kirkpatrick
  8. We gotta get one sooner or later, why not take the one with the most upside thats available?
  9. Would anyone be surprised if we make a move to get back into the 2nd to snag Osweiler?
  10. I like the idea of a waterfront stadium, a smaller venue, retractable roof is almost a given nowadays, but would prefer an open air building similar to the Seahawks stadium. Of course, I don't live in the area, so it wouldn't affect me either way, but I think I'd be cool to have a new multipurpose stadium on the water.
  11. If buddy believes in Glenn's talent enough to pick him at 10 then I'm all for it. Glenn, Jeffrey, osweiler would make me pretty happy. Two things to remember though 1: buddy has NEVER invested high rd picks in olineman 2: Ralph said way back earlier this off season that he WILL get Fitz more weapons With that in mind, I have no clue what we will do come draft day
  12. This is the same guy that shat all over Cam last year right? I'll take his "insight" with a giant grain of salt
  13. what can I say, I believe in the talent of jeffrey, and I feel that there are bigger needs at 10 than an overrated golden domer.
  14. Has EVERYONE forgotten about Chris White!!!!!! We need to give him a shot before we think about blowing a pick on a guy like keuchly. Besides, keuchly will infuriate those who accused poz and Fletcher of tackling "down field", he'll get the same label.
  15. Those guys were blindside protectors, reiff and bulaga aren't. I said you don't take right tackles and guards early, now if you want to nitpick about it and say boselli played RT in Jax, that's b/c he had the lefty brunell playing qb. The point is that non blind side protectors and into. Olineman can be had later in the draft and that's what rieff is. I'd much rather go Gilmore, Jeffrey, osweiler, potter, but that's just my preference.
  16. Actually, I said One Dimensional deep threat, like Lee Evans (one of my fav bills of recent yrs). I get the need for a guy that CAN go deep, which btw stevie has shown SOME ability to do, but he needs to do more.
  17. Heres the thing about having a deep threat, theyre useless if the qb cant throw it deep accurately, Fitz's deep ball sucks, so why target a one dimensional deep threat
  18. if you want beer pong lessons garcia is the man. Seriously though, after looking at what SHOULD be available, id really like to see Osweiler in the third It should be noted that hardy was a basketballer that tried football, Alshon Spurned Southern Cal for USC, and was very highly recruited, and scouted, this past yr however was a disaster statistically, except tds.
  19. Ive been pretty upfront about my USC homerism. However, Ingram IS the top rated OLB pass rusher, and we do have a need at olb, its not the most pressing need though. Also, consider the fact that most teams do not run base d for the majority of any game, that means more sub packages where Ingram can line up all over the field and rush the passer. In respect to Gilmore, #10 is not too high for a position of Major need, and considering his resume and skill set. Now, would I like to move down and get him, absolutely, but I dont believe Nix is inclined to do that. Finally, Alshon Jeffrey is NOT james hardy, hes a big physical target, that will go over the middle, high point the ball, which is great in the red zone, he has a knack for finding soft spots in the zone and can win his routes when covered, which means that although he may not always get that coveted separation, hes open even when hes not.
  20. Why not wait and take NaTe Potter later, he at least actually projects to be a LEFT tackle. No reiff, no decastro, and no ILB like keuchly @ 10. Take an Olb, Cb, or WR (not floyd). Remember, we only have one pick per rd for rds 1-3. The way I see it, we should go cb/olb, then wr, qb
  21. Im not on the floyd wagon. Id take Ingram/ gilmore then jeffrey @ 41.
  22. Just like bulaga a few yrs back, Reiff will not be the pick. Why, because you dont take Right tackles and guards in the top 10.
  23. Gilmore and Jeffrey have Never had any subatance or legal issues.
  24. All 32 teams present at Usc pro day, as reported by NFL NETWORK, Alshon, gilmore and ingram still very much in play. And it seems like Everyone wants to talk to Bruce Irvin.
  25. Denard was TOASTED by Alshon Jeffrey in the bowl game, no thanks. Id take Gilmore, jeffrey, Osweiler, potter, then draft for depth the rest of the way.
