Gailey's an offense witch!
AxelRipper replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only thing that I don't agree about is the amount of running we have(n't) been doing. We have a great running game, but we've been passing a lot, especially yesterday. It seems that getting the running game going early on and then switching over to more passing would be a more effective way of getting rolling early in the game than what has happened the past 2 weeks. Not that I'm complaining about our Madden style offense... but it just seems like it needs a bit more balance -
I was born ~4 hours after Wide Right. The first time I started REALLY following the bills was about a year or 2 before Losman was drafted, though I remember a few of the important games from a bit before that. This season so far has been the greatest Bills season I've remembered. The 5-1 season was close, but those wins still weren't anywhere close to the quality of these 3 wins, and this team has far more enthusiasm than that team did. GO BILLS!

***The OFFICIAL I've sinned against my fanhood thread ***
AxelRipper replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought today would be close, but didn't think we could win another game like last week. That was a once in a lifetime game. I was wrong. We can start 3-0 and beat the Pats*. I've been going into every game this year with cautious optimism thinking that this is a dream. This can't be really happening to a Buffalo team. But it is. And it feels so good. GO BILLS!!! -
new meaningless Power Rankings

Honestly, I don't think anyone expected what happened today to happen. Yes, we all hoped, but there is no way you can think that a team that is supposedly "rebuilding" and has a QB who has never started an opening day in his career will come out and blow out a team that many were/are considering to be playoff contenders. Also, for a team that hasn't had much in the tight end position in the past long while to come out and have 2 passing TD's with a TE... That's not something I think anyone was expecting to happen. Go Bills!!!

I don't think the Colts are looking for a new QB yet, unless Manning is never going to come back. Just because he is out for a year doesn't mean they need to draft his replacement. The guy is only 35, and clearly still one of the greats. Granted, his run to beat Favre in the history books for most consecutive games played just went down the drain, but he should still have at LEAST 5 more years to play.

The question should be, what are the odds that we'll play Detroit in the POSTseason!

Tyler Thigpen or Levi Brown?
AxelRipper replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think Thigpen will work as a backup. The only reason that he worked for Gailey in KC was the adoption of the Pistol. We don't run a pistol. IMO, your backup needs to be able to fit into your offense, and you shouldn't be adapting your entire offense for your backup when your starter goes down, and I think Brown plugs into the Fitzcentric offense much better than Thigpen. But of course, Thigpen is Gailey's pet and will probably stay here. -
Fitzy almost knocked himself out
AxelRipper replied to Robchester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz through a nice block early on for Freddie. Hopefully he can keep it going all season. And I really hope they have a play where he splits out left and catches a ball... Would be perfect for the endzone -
Apparently you werent watching the whole game... He stated that he just wanted to start it fresh and was starting, well, now. He also invited everyone to beard with him.

Good news for Naaman!
-
Other than the season(s) where all Losman could do productively was bomb it to Evans, who was our only good receiver, why should we have kept him? We've got 6-7 other young guys who can catch a damn good ball. Evans wasn't Fitz' go to receiver. That's Stevie's place. All this does is open up a roster spot for someone who can run more than one route.

The recap said that he got most of the first AND second team reps, so he was just tired from an insane work load.

Training Camp Notes: 8/5/11!
AxelRipper replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everything I've read from camp has had Naaman as being incredible out there. I really hope he can make the team. -
Thems some big lines...

Thanks for these notes. I was trying to look at ESPN's AFC east blog earlier... pats, jets, 86, jets, pats, pats, plaxico, jets, jets, bills signing, jets, pats, miami signing, pats, pats, jets.....

What A Stadium In Niagara Falls Would Look Like
AxelRipper replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We run into this thing all of the time with snowmobile trails. Someone from the city buys a vacant lot out here in Wyoming County and then posts it to everyone, generally blocking trails that have been there and have been used by the people in the area for years because they "plan to build a house there" or something like that, and then the property continues to sit vacant. Usually all it takes is a few phone calls for them to open back up, but it seems like in this case this lady was just looking for her share of the change. You should have seen the threats that were going through when the first 10 small windmills were put up on Weathersfield Rd a few years back to test out the feasibility of wind power, and then again when they put up all of the ones in Sheldon. People are idiots. -

I think I found the perfect place... but it would require a few more bridges to be put in linky -
Ah the Bills Fieldhouse Healthy Zone, where you can go before games to get all you can eat Wilson Farms Coffee, Upstate Farms Milk, and various assortments of taquitos, cream puffs, eclairs, and candy for free.
-
Giggity. That is all.
-
Thats a rather good analysis... Is it just me or is he more up on the Bills' progress this season than the Pats?
-
If you refuse to turn off a game in which the Bills are trailing by 20 going into the 4th quarter, because "It could happen..." you might be a Bills fan.
