  1. ^ This What decent man would want to subject his family to the PR hatchet job that comes with being a Republican Presidential Nominee?
  2. You're not wrong. We were more competetive with any of those guys than we were with RJ. He can't even claim he didn't have a team around him b/c Flutie consistently won with that supporting cast. I'd argue he was as bad or worse than JP or Trent, but no ? about Bledsoe, Flutie, or Fitz.
  3. Those numbers were artificially inflated because he took a lot of sacks, which don't hurt QB rating, which then enabled him to complete midrange passes on 3rd and long that helped his rating but led to 3 and out. He's the reason we lost with him under center.
  4. I remember when I was in 3rd grade at the movies and some 4th graders were trying to ride us and asked what music we listened to. I said Beastie Boys b/c it was the most hardcore band I listened to. They laughed like we'd just said Raffi and one upped us by telling us, very condescendingly, that they liked Bon Jovi. Oh, the irony.
  5. If the king really felt that confident he'd stop coming to Richmond and clogging up traffic.
  6. This is like a twilight zone thread. Toshiero actually says something positive and everyone rails against it. I don't get the theory that we're fielding a third rate LB corps. It's certainly not the strength of our D but Barnett is a solid NFL LB, Morrison has been productive in the NFL, and the coaches seem to be high on Shepherd. Throw in Scott and the two draft picks for depth and I don't feel so bad about this crowd. Especially given the line in front of them and the secondary behind them.
  7. Manning yes RG3 maybe - He's never taken an NFL snap Romo maybe - Great stats but not so hot in the clutch Vick no - Scumbag I don't want to cheer for whose body's soon to break down Freeman no - He sucks Newton maybe - still have reservations but so far so good Ryan yes Brees yes Cutler yes Rodgers yes Stafford yes Ponder no - Hasn't proven it yet Kolb no - Doesn't look like he has it Smith no - I don't see an upgrade here Bradford no - His greatest achievement is going 1st overall. Flynn no - One game wonder; jury's still out I've got ... 6 yes 7 no 3 maybe
  8. 1. Doug Flutie 2. Thurman Thomas 3. Fred Jackson 4. Bruce Smith 5. Eric Moulds
  9. If Merriman, Williams, Williams, & McGee stay healthy this defense could be legendary.
  10. This word "literally"; it doesn't mean what you think it means.
  11. I'd say 4-2 is conservative. While we've improved immensely the rest of the division has done little or worse. The Jets have gotten worse & their locker room is a mess, MIA has a new coach & has become the pariah of the league seemingly overnight. & NE should still be good but we beat them last year and they haven't gotten any better.
  12. Only 2 of those guys were drafted after Pioli skipped town. I don't think you can give the current regime too much credit for that.
  13. If you recall, our team was pretty good last year before the injuries hit. We didn't finish 6-10 due to a lack of quality starters, but rather, due to a lack of depth. That is what we got while simultaneously upgrading our future starting rotation. Great FA, great draft, great off-season. I'm excited.
  14. I had Gilmore picked for us 3 months ago. Only it was in the 2nd round.
  15. I just got my first bike today & this has been running through my head all day. Good advice.

  17. C'mon Man. He didn't do any of that **** to appease Republicans. Most of that stuff he left alone because he either couldn't pull it off, doesn't really care about it, or didn't want to make political waves. He refers to Republicans as "our enemies". Say what you will about Bush, I certainly didn't care for the bulk of his agenda, but Bush rose above the fray to lead as the President even when pop-culture decided shitting on him was the cool thing to do. Obama is part of the fray. Bush never disparaged Democrats as his enemies, or got into these petty pissing matches, or talked about whose ass he was going to kick. When America was ready to turn on anyone with a year round tan and a beard Bush took charge and spoke out to calm the crowd. When the black community was being stirred into a frenzy over the Travon Martin bull **** Obama stoked the fire. There's really no comparison here.
  18. 1. You could show a little appreciation. Tom is the Simon Cowell of the board. If not for him taking the time to inform you otherwise you could go on indefinitely under the delusion that you're posting intelligently. 2. This is factually inaccurate.
  19. I'm not familiar with the reference. And JSP, I preferred your "FAIL" avatar.
  20. See the movie scene thread
  21. Any legal analysis or rationale to support your assertion or did you just stop by to remind us that you're an idiot? You might want to read B-Man's post before you answer.
  22. He obviously has great talent but where would he play? Moving to 4-3 OLB would be a major adjustment and we're pretty well set at DE.
  23. To your first point, depending on the area telling the cops that someone looking suspicious was here but wandered off & I have no idea where he is doesn't necessarily help. To your second point, do you have any data to support this or is that just how it seems to you? 'Cause quite frankly your credibility is a little low in that area.
