Trent's on his way out and Fitzy is just filling in. Let's give Brohm some playing time. At least we'll know whether to sign a QB off FA or from the draft. Yes yes I know we have a decimated O line. But 7 months does not an awesome O line make. The O line will take a season or more to completely develop. Give Brohm some confidence, assure him he's in our future plans and let's see what he does with some playing time.

With our season rendered pointless, its imperative that we look forward. There's a reason why they cut Hamdan and signed Brohm in the first place. Give the kid some playing time now is all I'm saying. They're going to try him out next season anyway. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I don't think there is a better time to start developing him.

I say give the kid some playing time. See how he handles some pressure. You know hes going to be under a lot of pressure whether he plays this year or next. If he does well, give him significant time the last two or the last game. This season is down the toilet anyways.

I agree. A pre-determined pay scale and a contract heavy on performance bonuses ought to be fair enough.

Probably because it's like watching someone get kicked in the nuts. You know it's going to be painful. You know its going to hurt. But you just can't look away. Personally if JP does play,I hope we send him back on a stretcher. Or at least prove it once and for all that he doesn't belong.

Does anyone know if there's decent/good QB approaching FA next year?? Might be a good idea to sign one while developing a franchise QB from the draft.

I would look at it this way. T.O is gone come this Feb. Hopefully we'll spend our time strengthening our OL-DL whether it be through FA or the draft. An ideal case IMO, would be if we were somehow able to draft a QB and sign a good QB vet (Don't as me how). Let the rookie QB develop and groom him for the future. In the meantime, we would have a decent array of offensive/defensive weapons, some with veteran experience to hold their own next year, and developing talent for the future. We need Evans. As our number one next year, the least he could do is take pressure off of the other young WR's (Stevie, Hardy et al). TE will be gone as will Fitzy if he bombs the remaining games. Sorry if I made this post about everyone except LE.
