I have never in my history of being a fan (that goes back to the 80's) seen a more pitiful sorry rear end defense than what was put on the field last year. Now add on to that we don't have a quarterback or anyone for one to throw to so I quess time will tell if we have any miricle workers at OBD.

I'll give him an E for effort but the results are not there. If he would have drafted a damn quarterback last year there would be reason for optimism but that didn't happen either . Actually now that I have thought about it some more he totally screwed the pooch on the whole QB situation. Signed Fitz to a big contract mid season when he should and could have waited until the end of the season when there was a larger body of work to analyze. If he would have signed him to a smaller contract it would have been ok but he was given the big $. Put all of his stock in Fitz who wasn't taking anyone to the promised land. Didn't draft a QB from last years great crop. Traded a 7th round pic for T Jackson who never even suited up Expected Fitz to bail him out by re-structuring. Cut Fitz who like it or not was the face of the Franchise and probably the best available option for this season. Now we have no face, no QB, no free agent to sign, questionable QB's in the draft. One of which Nix is counting on stepping up and saving his rear end. How does this guy still have a job?

I think the wall was hit last season. Concussions, fumblitis, etc.....

I didn't read through all 19 pages so excuse me for asking. Who exactly was Fitz playing to backup? Is there some yet unknown free agent QB coming to town that we don't know about? Are they really expecting a rookie QB to come in and win the job? This ain't looking good.

Seeing how the Bills have only nobodys at the linebacker position I will be very disappointed if they don't make a run at a stud linebacker. Also the Bills used to breed linebackers. Now they can't draft one to save their life.

You are right. There is no better option right now. In spite of his short comings this team could have won more games last year if it had a decent defense and a coach that didn't put the game in Fitz's hand. Minimize Fitz. Play Defense. But I am still pissed they didn't draft Russell Wilson in the 3rd last year
