  1. it was a question mark for you all the way to this week?
  2. impressive to be near 6 ypc behind a mediocre line and getting carries in bad weather when you are that delicate
  3. we’ve played nickel more than 90% of snaps several recent years. Some of the remaining 10% dime. it’s basically only been a goal line package and even then inconsistent we will see about this year but would be odd to ramp up with it the most depleted we’ve seen the lb unit
  4. a guy earning the fourth safety spot isn’t a breakout star.
  5. It’s not unmovable money but it’d be a surprise to take the hit. He’s also some of the last elite speed on the offense with Hines hurt.
  6. and a real lunch pail guy…. Gets extra attention.
  7. He said breakout star this year. im going cook.
  8. it’s the tough thing with unreasonable expectations. people were incredibly over the top with him last year, and now there’s a weird resetting around him. he’s a late round WR. He fell for a reason, and may grow into a role but the idea that we replaced beasley instantly with the 21st WR taken in the draft was unfair to him. he’s got a good skill set and could contribute as he grows though. Or could quietly fade away as he hasn’t shown exceptional at anything yet.
  9. that would qualify as fighting for WR6 and not against harty sending shorter to PS and a better special teamer to the last active spot wouldn’t be unheard of
  10. Wont shock at all to be practice squad
  11. Harty and Isabella are not competing. isabella is fighting for WR6-7 at best harty is fighting for share of reps in WR3-5 and essentially guaranteed a spot and being game day active
  12. I mean, here’s an article back in 2018 about essentially the same topic: https://gearjunkie.com/technology/spt2-fitness-tracking-wearable at this point I’m not sure why these haven’t been styled differently by the company, though I guess it’s publicity during the off-season when guys workout shirtless and every couple of months it’s all over social media again
  13. Specifically, the duration that he has that earning potential. as if a running back could get a shorter sentence, cause they hit the wall sooner but la musician should be longer since they can play well into their old age.
  14. Is Hopkins short term and a 2nd round pick WR and a 3rd round comp pick and 5M in cap space to spend more impactful than gabe, as a potential real quantification of that? I’d be real good with a package like received for diggs, hill or adams if you want to pick an example in the last 20 years the alternate, if Davis truly explodes… maybe it’s diggs you deal and use the pick on a young guy.
  15. As expensive as receivers are, I’d be drafting a ton of them too. I think Gabe would eagerly sign that today. I think the OP was thinking like half that. @John from Riverside? i think it makes little to no sense for the bills roster construction
  16. though you could send our existing and figure it’s about 5 picks apart hopefully. that said, not racing to trade this year. I’d be quite alright with letting Gabe walk, drafting a guy 1-2 and considering a mid tier or aging vet for a short deal as insurance against the draft option not working out right
  17. even now the “discount” is largely giving him a 10m raise this year to get him 2m cheaper the next 5, right? by the time you do the math on hometown discounts it’s usually just having the extra year of the rookie deal baked in vs just straight free agency
  18. define on the cheap. I swear these threads should come with a requirement to include numbers if making claims
  19. I don’t know why 156 into the back of a car isn’t enough for murder and damn near life without a tox screen
  20. we’ve seen these monitors several times this off-season and every time someone thinks it’s an original set of jokes
  21. Minus the fact that he didn’t take a ton of accountability and often came across as still longing to be in those parties there was never a sense of “imagine what we could’ve done if I plugged in” and instead always “hell yea we did that” undertones talking about college experiences. yea, I guess as a 30 year old i expected a shade more than his sister summing it up but then again his father, presumably in his 50s, offloaded a ton onto A&M with that “you give him to a program and you expect them to make him a man” comment. hopefully editing did them few favors and they get it more than it seemed
  22. real mixed bag on the nuts and bolts of it as a documentary. Thought it had a lot of issues with the formatting and storytelling of such a fascinating story. frustrating to watch on a human level as it really didn’t feel like he learned the lesson. At least not like you would hope.
  23. it may be a little cheaper now But it’s likely starting talks at close to 15m a year? I mean guys like Lazard and jokobi Myers are 11m. Sutton and Renfrow are 15m. unless you think he breaks out as a top 10 guy, he’s going to be similarly in the teens next year. Is the savings of 14 vs 16 worth moving early? Meh.
  24. I’d be much more apt to buy that if he was not going 156 mph. but I’ve made the argument that the drunk part only effects my judgment so much compared to the horribly reckless driving. Killing someone while 30(? 40?) over the speed limit should negate manslaughter and kick to a murder charge. that aside, I do get the point you are making on DUI and have often waffled on how to handle punishment of both run of the mill guys getting caught at a sobriety check point with no single victim vs a .11 driver that has a weird fluke accident vs a .22 that had no idea what was happening when they got in the car in the first place and wakes up to discover the horror.
