  1. It’s the problem with pegging every guy to be at their ceiling when projecting. that said, the jets have an elite defense and are a very tough test for the bills roster style. It’s one of the worst matchups around.
  2. a) he’s capable and has done it a bunch b) is the OC somehow totally detached from preparing his QB? That’s not Dorsey’s job at all here?
  3. I like in this scenario we still win the Super Bowl
  4. the game was already lost when the returner is in the red zone in sudden death.
  5. dorsey has nothing to do with our qb now?
  6. I’ll even take a different run josh with a power run in OT is a call I’m fine with. a draw that’s been bottled up all night? I don’t care if it’s a top 5 offense at years end again, that’s trash.
  7. Poyer got cooked on both runs, right? just terrible reads if I saw the plays right
  8. cooks still the much more talented back
  9. I think they have been pretty legitimate all off-season, but are in the tightest division in the tighter conference and because of that 1-2 games could be the difference between Super Bowl contender vs watching playoffs from the couch
  10. investments being of course relative as you obviously can’t let the money just *poof* and disappear chase, who is eligible for a new deal next year, May be interested in getting paid next year.
  11. Royale is way more into alternative lifestyle choices. I’m guessing like Aaron Carter or such
  12. I want to win, but not enough to take slightly less money doesn’t need a full article that dances around the point with the player going on about needing to respect himself.
  13. josh took home just about 50m last year. They haven’t eaten the full hit yet but he’s getting a ton of cash already
  14. until he renegotiates and Joe burrows deal looks like a steal it just isn’t great commentary on a practical level
  15. I don’t know if that’ll be a given - I think tlaw may have some work to do to fully jump the field. He should handily bounce the deals a few years old but don’t know that he will beat burrow weeks to months later
  16. you never heard ANY? Really?
  17. I think those two sides of him very clearly co-exist but it’s a strange strange place for that discussion. He could still have a wheelchair to get around controlled by his good arm. it’s certainly not ideal but I think a lot of folks would rather be around still. Big moments with their kids, etc… is a lot of incentive to struggle through the care needed.
  18. let’s be honest - dramatic weight loss gets him back to viable nfl player, from nearly eating himself out of the league. id say the red flag on it happening is pretty large. It’ll be interesting if it’s a wake up call to be elite in those regards going forward or just back to serviceable
  19. to be fair, popping on the uniform and posing for about 20 gifs is about as unnatural as it gets
  20. no but sacrificing your body for generational wealth and then losing that retirement money and having to go back to the grind in a tough labor role is a bit of a bummer, no? I hand you $15m today and in 2030 you are working construction and I think we can both agree it’s not one of the outcomes you’d be most happy to see.
  21. I’ve always said that I’m not sure where his ceiling was but the team actively got in the way of him reaching it. Hackett as not just a rookie OC but no QB coach either? doug in general? I don’t think he was going to be the answer but he’s one of those guys that I’ll wonder if he could’ve been a bit more. Say a guy that could carve out a career somewhere between say tyrod Taylor and jimmy g status if he had been a day two pick in a good situation.
  22. I’ll agree that the rest was probably more relevant 20+ years ago than today when recruiting was a bit more of a silo. though I think we both can also agree to some degree that a guy going to play in Miami probably has a different motivation profile than a guy playing at bama vs a guy playing at Notre dame - and coaches may come and go without that 100% changing
  23. its hard to say… is Reggie Gilliam meaningful? is it better we drafted bass than signing a vet? people here hate brown? Is his starting a positive note? is Bernard starting because he’s good or because we have no one and he might lose the job by months end to a washed vet off? how do those percentages compare league wide? it’s not a particularly meaningful tweet without context, right?
  24. same system I’d venture hearing echoes of past guys in the scouting report isn’t unreasonable. That doesn’t mean they are solidly clones but there’s a good chance there are similar traits sought by the coach to capitalize similar schemes. across various regimes that gets more distant but there’s possibly some residue through the years. Regional culture (both campus and recruiting pool), player development (both campus and recruiting pool) I think it’s dumb to say I’d never draft a Texas lineman because of mike Williams but over the course of multiple regimes I wouldn’t be shocked to find out a couple consistent boosters liked a certain style of lineman and their techniques of appealing to those lineman might have drawn in the wrong personality type for long term success (ie physically dominating but a weak work ethic might like their sales pitch)
  25. Yea, that rams roster is no worse than any of the bills rosters that landed picks much closer to 10th than 1st. stafford would be among the best qbs we had. Akers has something to prove. I think kupp comes back because he’s already 30 and wants to cement a legacy. Aaron Donald is going to play. id agree that they could easily sweep the cards, colts, commanders… Green Bay could be awful. That’s 5 wins without a single upset. 2 wins out of the browns/giants/seahawks(x2) is already a 7 win season without going wild.
