  1. here’s where you’ve missed it: some other team will replace the bengals with a rookie contract qb lighting it up, just like the bengals backfilled the chiefs, and the eagles are backfilling that. we will be in the mature roster category and a pipeline of other teams will be in the best window they will ever have- and we will have to leap frog them its not just the bengals and chiefs in 3 years- it’s the team that is just starting to frame up today to make the run soon.
  2. unfortunately, you already exhibited enough patience to not realize we have already finished our greatest opportunity to win a championship and did so without a ring. from here we will be a contender as long as we have Josh but unless we hit a generational draft, or make a major shift in coaching - it’s going to be the same guys trying to win it all at lower odds than when they already failed. McD is a pretty good coach and has a place in the league but I don’t think he’s a dynasty coach Josh Allen is absolutely in the elite tier and can be a dynasty player Dorsey looks like a guy that is the weakest link in the chain. He has an upper echelon team with the basics of his system already set up for him in advance. It looks like the play at several positions has gotten sloppier, guys are sometimes missing situational awareness, and the play calling can be a mixed bag in big moments. The unit lacks an identity beyond “Josh Allen is our quarterback!”
  3. And no credit to backs for being shifty enough to have an arm tackle instead of getting wrapped up fully
  4. im not saying that’s crazy but i think Wilson is head and shoulders about turf toe Terry at the moment. The others might favor Washington but I tend to lean towards the top end being more important than the supporting cast the way the leagues set up. If a bad teams going to beat us, I think it’s a special player making spectacular plays that’s more likely than WR3 beating us up.
  5. a couple weird bounces and a blown coverage or two and it’ll be a game quickly but bills should win this 7 or 8 times out of 10
  6. yea- should be a win but rarely a pushover in this league. offense, at least talent wise, is maybe more jets-esque than raiders. A young guy that can move around a bit and sling it. A couple good backs. Decent receivers. Jets probably more talented at both rb and wr though.
  7. though as a nickel the skill set changes too. He could be valued more outside than inside and that be part of the issue with reps
  8. Yea, even a good shove can result in a fall and cracking one’s head on the cement. Just terrifying consequences for everyone involved and their families Just quietly disengage and walk away if it gets dicey
  9. Cant be influenced by a team is a poor phrasing. they certainly could miss something that a team points out, and likewise have to deal with the court of public opinion if a teams pointing it out and they don’t act. the bills don’t get to make the call but they absolutely can influence the odds of it happening
  10. which makes sense but would be a coaching issue, not a try harder issue like you were saying
  11. why do the easier and higher percentage option when the pass could work, right?
  12. I can buy a lottery ticket instead of funding my retirement and it’s still the wrong move if I win. take the incredibly safe and should be easy sneak
  13. the play should have never been called even if it worked
  14. that’s maybe being too friendly
  15. like they didn’t watch hurts at the 1
  16. But that many guys were running it with the exact parameters kind of suggests that they’ve worked to do it that way, no?
  17. I mean, can I think he’s a moody guy that’s a mixed bag? It seems fair
  18. wentz had a much less substantial resume and fell off the cliff much harder on the field while being a jerk in the locker room to ice the cake
  19. not to minimize it but you are probably to deep into the trees to see the forest at this point. You are just throwing everything at the wall and should probably go enjoy your Saturday, and come back to the game tomorrow with a clean slate. Josh is an elite qb. The offense even with its troubles is very good. We will likely be play Miami for the division lead in a couple weeks. none of us, you included, needed another new Josh thread. wentz is an awful comparable.
  20. That Allen’s tossed him a few amazing throws isn’t testament to him consistently moving where he should be and getting there on schedule for the qb needs when the play breaks down. he’s slower, lacking agility and doesn’t find the easiest zone for the qb in any consistent way. I’ve in fact watched him drift into really difficult windows frequently. Kind of like running the corner too short creating a harder through in this video, conceptually.
  21. I think Lawrence post pay day and with a defensive coach would be an interesting comparable. Right now he’s in that easiest time to shine where you can have extra weapons. And he has a coach that can help him more. I think Josh has more overall talent though.
  22. It all depends what you mean… running a high/low forcing 1 guy to cover two that are spread is a great test. running a high/low allowing 1 guy to cover two guys clustered is a debacle
  23. As a 4.55 guy, it’s a particular challenge but as a guy with terrible shuttle/cone, and “very poor” grades in agility with the RAS metrics, perhaps underneath is also not his spot as he isn’t running whips and such either. He’s a good mid round pick. He has a spot in the league. He can’t win against CB1 consistently though and you can’t be the team that pays him his second contract.
  24. Davis doesn’t snap. Turning twice would take far too long.
