yup. He’s in a weird space where he won’t be a sought after OC but his resume is above position coach sure. Lots of guys could. I think the concern is Sean Payton was likely the drawing up plays guy in New orleans. After he left the offense went stale quickly. Talent obviously a concern there but he didn’t show any particular innovation - so why him over any other options in they role?
-
just curious- how did you have any meaningful opinion on Pete as a coach/person beyond simply unimaginative play caller? he’s not shown any meaningful insights into who he is
-
Semantics really when you have bilious and are an international superstar- Maybe she’s not “entitled” but is “on a practical level fully guaranteed to receive if she wants it” that different here?
-
counter: this team certainly displayed a who cares attitude about the media distractions. Unless there were already personal issues with the guy, odds are they are dialed in right now that no one would even care what Tim Graham asks them about the punter
-
Meh. I don’t care as long as he doesn’t shank one 10 yards catch the ball and boot it deep. Can be all touchbacks for all I care this week
-
he was several yards away from any defender engaging a tackle- it’s not like they pulled up last second. Even if they read it as a slide they could continue to close space before making a decision
-
he might’ve thought the pump fake was a real throw just getting one on the books would likely help his process a lot
-
the Pickett play in college is a great example of what shouldn’t be allowed. It’s a way different motion than this play though. he’s just a big guy that doesn’t turn on a dime when going full speed seems clear he was changing his angle to use the blocks not pretending to go down

Shout out another “elite” HC like Mike Tomlin

meh. peterman wasn’t magically a starter just because he took the first snap. sure, in a literal sense but not the meaningful nomenclature of the word. -

I bet tomlin would spot us 14 points if we would agree to trade qbs -

again, meh. mcdermott has won wildcard games. He has to do more before folks start trotting out crow, yet alone a plate for a potential hall of fame coach to eat -

Meh. We have perhaps the best player in the nfl at perhaps the most important position in all of sports. Tomlin blew the end of the first half, but his team did a lot for having such a large talent deficit even before taking their best player in watt away -
Impressed with Josh’s play but even more impressed with his leadership

Perhaps, and hear me out, even he himself has talked about what he was doing on the sideline the first half of the season didn’t work and he needed to get back into the emotions of it all more. -
Josh. Your iconic guy making an iconic play. shakir was a big one to I’ve it but without it being a go ahead score, it was mostly fun and we would’ve been up two scores without the broken tackle still. We were all on edge of our seats but we were largely set as soon as he caught it on a practical level
-
who said it was serious? we will see where it goes
-
reminded me of lance moore
-
full healthy DL and safeties. Decimated at the middle level but let’s not run up to preseason lineup either
-
I don’t think he’s an every down wr that lives on the boundary against elite corners and double teams but I think if we draft a guy in the first it helps Shakir absolutely feast on mismatches down the depth chart
-
way to drop the ball
-
Yea, I tried to see anything that indicated a slide in the first run but really not seeing it. He slowed and changed direction but never really dips. I think you may have just gotten used to Josh going 100 mph and over chiefs defenders.
