  1. I tend to agree though I think in that human element superstars often get a little benefit of the doubt, for instance josh and his style of play may not see that as much though
  2. hard one to sell with the Philly game in the last 4 you reference being better for the bills
  3. You can’t leave healthy guys on IR forever
  4. we don’t need better testing. We need cream puffs that give you bye weeks and home field advantage. I want a team that waltzed to needing 2 wins at home not 3 on the road I want a team that is healthy, not the remnants of what’s left after a struggle
  5. he still doesn’t have to answer if that’s his thing
  6. he’s a 23 year old football player… so I wouldn’t hang tooooo hard on every word. I think you can read some frustration into the reality that it happened and the bills happened to be the team that did it but I have to imagine he realizes 31 other teams wouldn’t touch him either for the last year and change so it isn’t a Buffalo issue exclusively.
  7. If I’m Elam, and I know GMs are poking around at the trade deadline and seeing me play poorly and benched for the Ghost of McCorners Past - I’d probably prefer they get a quick pulse check that I didn’t forget to play football suddenly, just in case I’m on the market again in a couple months. Coaches in Buffalo aren’t the only ones you want to stay on the radar of if you are in his shoes. Also having fans in your corner tends not to hurt your chances at getting opportunities. and it’s got to be in some way more positive to get genuine get well soon feedback instead of you are a bum and should be cut feedback again, not saying it was a dire 5 alarm fire that needed immediate tending or tragic consequence - but no upside to let people sit for another month thinking you washed out
  8. so once called out that he’s had a month where opponents wouldn’t target him youve progressed from reporters needing to camp outside his house and stalk him for him to share his injury update or possibly the silence being to avoid being treated like a notoriously out of touch with human behavior superstar qb? and I’m the one being strange saying I’m surprised he didn’t comment on his injury a couple weeks ago, when his reputation was getting shredded and he went on IR?
  9. big boomer energy here would you prefer I said he take the scenic route and chat with the buff news on his way out the door instead of popping on X? no one thinks “yea it’s been hard playing through a torn ligament so I think I need to get better” is an excuse. Do you think he’s making excuses now? was just pointing out there was no upside in waiting a month, which is different than your reasons that match up to why he’d not talk today either
  10. im saying if I’m Elam getting benched for Norman that within 5 minutes I’m on Twitter declaring the serious nature of the injury at play your response is one of the more bizarre I’ve gotten in 15 or so years here
  11. He has a place in the league, but that place isn’t Buffalo. In this window we need someone better in the role and won’t get it while he’s taking 90% of the snaps. It’s basically impossible to consider him a 4 here at this point.
  12. he’s been on IR for weeks. Are they going to track him down at home to target it?
  13. I just don’t get why he’d wait so long to tell the story
  14. yes, it’s easier to properly run a route than to expect a qb to see every open opportunity, progression and pressure be damned
  15. meh. I like full time refs but to pretend these guys arent pretty well embedded in the culture of the game is unfair. To be an nfl ref takes quite a bit. I don’t want them splitting time but you don’t have to shrink the pool to players to fix this
  16. and no one’s accusing McDermott of loving terrorists, they are saying it was a doofus level decision to use the analogy as a coach.
  17. just finds a crease and all of a sudden he’s 20 yards downfield. guys like that are so fun to watch
  18. well Brady also needs some guys loyal to him and that know his communication/expectation to help move the needle down the stretch. if this is a playoff team that somehow goes deep he has practically half a season to install wrinkles. plus he’s a body down in the leadership with Dorsey out of the room
  19. same monologue here. 3rd and 15 helped my nerves but part of me wondered if we’d regret that being called back.
  20. that’s relatively normal but not with a player inside and in a rush. Around the perimeter, light guidance is par for the course. Also if on the fence, they might nudge post play to watch it but if a yard over the line it isn’t going uncalled.
  21. If, and a big if here… if he’s genuinely in the ramp up window we could see his play substantially improve even week to week. where his ceiling is moving forward is anyone’s guess but this was the first time we have seen an indication that he is not at it currently - which is progress. All we can do is hope from here. Would be massive to add another bonafide starter even if not an all pro
  22. yea, I’m having some hope return but it’s tough to gauge these things from where we sit
  23. I’ve always struggled with where diggs ranks in a best wr list. I don’t think he’s a top 3 elite future HOF guy. I think he’s clearly a top half of the league WR1. Guys in that range turn in days like this. From 3-15 there are a lot of very good guys that take over many but not every week. he’s also on an offense that’s struggling to find an identity and fired it’s coordinator during this last month
  24. the month prior he put up some solid numbers. In those 4 games - 31 catches 314 yds and 2 tds is a 132 catch, 1334 yard 8.5 TD season pace.
  25. there’s a difference monumental difference between a bad game and being “done” feel free to start a diggs had a bad day thread and I won’t push back there
