  1. likewise hard to say he would never have gotten some other qb. he’s a great coach but great coaches need talent. It’s hard to pull a team apart and say any one member would win rings or not without the other important pieces.
  2. yea the unspoken truth of the success of the patriot way is essentially don’t let the other 52 lose the game for you and have a qb that can win any and every game for you. but Mac Jones will lose games for you. Really, most qbs will do that. They need to acknowledge the real patriot way if they are going to fix the result
  3. im not sure “not in the prime of his career yet” is fair. If not in that range now, when would he be?
  4. defending oneself: he’s hitting me I need to hit back to immediately stop this attention seeking: we both keep walking away but chirping while we do it so it takes 3 years and 14 short slap fights while a crowd eggs us on who started the second doesn’t much matter.
  5. brilliant maybe not perhaps effective
  6. defending himself from a 2021 attack in 2024? or, hear me out, just attention seeking and picked this as a good drama du jour?
  7. you might’ve been missing a zero for a true top tier player. arch manning is at like $3m a year in nil, as an example
  8. which amounts to workplace drama between colleagues at abc/Disney/espn. And I’m sure plenty of others in the space felt unhappy about. there’s some extra context compared to Aaron Rodgers the jet saying it instead of Aaron Rodgers the coworker saying it
  9. no, all of them worry - the behavior is relatively normal
  10. I mean, I don’t know the calls vs the performance but I do wonder why he’s had to work so hard to get gabe Davis levels of trust who seems to have a lot of challenges I’d be fascinated to talk to the OCs involved about the WR room
  11. This comment is coach speak to challenge his team and keep them fired up against a much lesser opponent. “I dunno guys - seemed like they were the tougher group….” ….when it’s preseason, back ups are playing and there’s no scheme conveniently left off of his remarks
  12. just missing a qb and their best player is hurt you can’t take any game in January for granted but this is the best matchup they could ever ask for.
  13. saints were a much worse team top to bottom and side to side. Talent on the field and in the coaching ranks were major issues. I don’t think it was just Carmichael- though I think Carmichael was awful. its not a great comparison.
  14. A) it’s a full season not a one (two) off game B) there’s a massive contingency that already have Amazon
  15. I think that’s likely the number 2 reason behind it being a more than 18 week recovery period.
  16. I think far more likely would be he retires if he’s still not able to be game day active - he’s got some pride
  17. Who knows if it hurt at all but we surely know it was a dumb risk
  18. I think a healthy tyreek/waddle makes that adjustment much harder but you play the hand you are dealt and it’s not like we were without injuries…. But we might’ve been blessed that their outside speed was so diminished
  19. while I appreciate the energy, hopefully it was just banter between friends and not anything truly in the decision on the bright side, even if he needs a week, knock on wood the Steelers will not be w major air threat as long as we wrap up well
  20. meh, do you think it was the first play in an otherwise impressive season?
  21. feels good that we aren’t posting fire Danny crossman anymore.
  22. All three said the same thing? almost as if it was…. Scripted?
  23. I’d still love to hear the story behind him not filling that mckenzie/Hines role much more substantially he’s a better player than we have seen here
  24. It’s been hard to defend it as the year went on but that’s why I was one of the longer defenders of his. it’s frustrating he hasn’t gotten better touches schemed to him
  25. Meh. he’s losing this game by himself but he’s a huge net positive for this team over a long haul
