  1. My man. I’m trying to re-engage you in productive talk instead of you going off the rails on a Tyrod rant like you have in the past. my question wasn’t what if we are too low. It’s how low you think he accepts since you are absolutely positive he will take a drastic pay cut
  2. You don’t think a team like Jax would be interested? Picking too low to draft one and without an answer for next year
  3. And I wasn’t totally shocked last season. i would be surprised this season. How low do you think we can go before he walks? Maybe that’s a more productive way to frame this discussion
  4. How many paycuts and benching do you think he takes before he says “I could be the lowest paid qb in the league plenty of places” and has his agent call Jacksonville?
  5. Clearly he will do it EVERY offseason. Also in that list- how many people were arguing he had poor history with our brand new coach, for instance? You are doing that thing you like to do (especially with Tyrod) where you overstate things because you believe them not because they are factual.
  6. Hes already essentially the lowest paid starter in the league not on a rookie deal - I’m not sure he’s jumping to take a 20% pay cut from there.
  7. Why does he take less to stay? coach that benched him thinks race is a factor poor scheme fit not great receiver talent id venture he could find a better fit if we lowball him drastically
  8. If he hit at qb, and/or had a competent coach... his “other 52” were among the best in the league some years.
  9. Theres just not a huuuuge gap between the 10the and 20th team. You get a few bounces and some luck in tie breakers and you are in. We were probably more like 20 but got a lot of those bounces and snuck in with a weak conference. I think several of the rosters from years past would be favored against this year. thats what was so remarkable about being a middle of the road team most of the stretch and never getting in- statistically we should’ve gotten in on dumb luck a couple times. No shame in that- several teams a year do the same and they sometimes make a little noise. Mans people seem to really struggle with the difference between “more or less likely” and “bet your child’s life guarantee” we we can be a statistical long shot and still get in without ruining models. In fact, that happening sometimes helps support the model. If you project a 30% chance and it NEVER happens, that’s strange.
  10. Additionally stats like percentage of throws occurring with a 2 score lead? How often were we leading by two scores?
  11. Did you also hate walking by newsstands, with all their papers they force you to buy?
  12. Feels like I’m nola this morning was 10. i know that’s not crazy but it’s chilly even by ny standards
  13. At his price tag it seems easy to keep him around unless someone shakes free that’s decent value and somewhat reliable and we can snag them in free agency before Taylor’s bonus date. It’d be crazy to walk into the draft (or cut TT at any point) with just peterman. I guess what if? That it’s a wildcard win would mean a hell of a lot more to you than them. I’d be shocked if they are totally undecided and a single game sways them.
  14. You cant weigh the one game drastically different than the rest. Just like a guy can’t shoot way up your draft board for a decent bowl game. you look at the body of work and make an unemotional decision
  15. Definitely drops- and not unjustified. But how far? I normally feel like I have a decent grasp on how various issues effect draft stock but this ones a unique situation for sure
  16. He’s one that I’m very curious to see transition to the Nfl. I have no concept of how only having one hand will effect his draft stock or viability
  17. I missed you. A few questions- is it wildly different to you to give him say $10m per year vs earning fractions of a percent in ownership? Or are you thinking he gets a huge chunk? Also do you think he factually loves everyone or just says that for tv?
  18. That I buy. I enjoyed the saints buying up billboard space in Miami during the super bowl against the colts to control the atmosphere around the common driving routes
  19. Again, wouldn’t beer vendor be the worst possible plan here? Lots of attention from fans (both conspicuous and distracted) security or janitor or fan or pretty much anything makes this slightly more believable
  20. Wouldnt it be less obvious just to give him a seat in a nearby section? or literally anything other than a beer vendor get up?
  21. Thats not a thing. fred makes no sense. Honestly Carolina backs don’t. I’d look at our rotation from this year or guys in Dennisons past
  22. Thats the thing- there’s a huge mess of middle of the pack teams and a few get lucky and land slightly above .500 the there’s a handful of good teams and usually 1-2 get lucky and get byes and such amd of course the couple of dominant teams
  23. That’s why I kept saying we are likely about a 7 win team but if we stay relatively healthy and lucky on bounces we could easily sneak into the wild card
  24. Ha! Naming the dalton throw might be a liiiiiiitle much for a wild card birth plus, y’all are terrible at names. Like Charles Barkley “turrrrrrible”
  25. I like shady a lot but I’m guessing that directive cake from coaching. Maybe it was him getting it but odds are it was simply following orders.
