  1. sounds like you are a huge fan of Josh
  2. Can I say the oddest part was a 2 year design process to pick which era pants and which era jersey to wear?
  3. so small Rapp will miss and kill a teammate the true plan is revealed
  4. going to likely be on the street in September no matter where he goes but at the 90th roster spot beane took a swing for a surprise at least I guess
  5. plus this idea that everyone has to take a stance on everything instead of accepting we don’t know much about most of it
  6. yea seemed pretty nervous but totally out of his element and going right out of the gate so not a lot to index against. I thought he did well for a non comedian
  7. or I keep saying - heaven forbid Samuel rolls an ankle in a preseason game and misses September? Week 1 could get real thin real fast if Coleman is even slightly a project and either Shakir or Samuel miss any early reps for 10% of the cost and as wr4 instead of wr2
  8. there’s a section of the board that likes to be razor thin
  9. There’s a reality that pass catchers will miss games and having some depth isn’t the worst. if prefer another viable wr but Knox is a good player There’s a reality that pass catchers will miss games and having some depth isn’t the worst. if prefer another viable wr but Knox is a good player
  10. ironically I think those excited for him and those worried about him are both in that range
  11. I have to stress that no one is chalking up claypool as in the group also claypool turns 26 this summer, so same as several of those
  12. I hate the upper deck seats in the dome. I have to be pretty desperate to pick a seat that I have to go up from the tunnel up there. Amazes me more drunks don’t just tumble to their demise.
  13. If he wins the job in the first week of camp he won’t spend any time at guard. I think that’s unlikely but possible
  14. specifically my original post was in response to someone saying the wr room was solid. While I’ll say cook and Kincaid are solid- they unfortunately run a lot of the some routes into the same zones that our existing WRs do. There’s definitely some initial gaps in the WR room that a back just doesn’t fill (stretching the D vertically)
  15. right, because he was an established guy not a development project. Off the bench you have to back up all 3 spots on game day to dress. If signed as an entrenched starter you don’t back up other guys.
  16. and any of them could step up but we probably need 2 out of 3 to play above reasonable expectation to have an average to possibly above group
  17. In the wide receiver room we are running out: 7th rookie off the board 35th(?) paid veteran wr making less than our not good enough WR2 last year and last years wr3
  18. the only downside is Josh took on covering a lot of that deficit down the stretch which makes this a tough discussion. We could put weo, doc and Shakir out there at wr and probably field something better than several teams because we have Josh…. But is it a winner in January?
  19. yup. And Samuel can be inside, outside, backfield, in motion. I think a lot of folks are expecting a lot out of rookie WR7 early. I also think a lot of people are building in razor thin margins for error or injury when building out their distributions of snaps/targets etc…
  20. not to single you out but man… guys going to st brown as a comp for our less than ideal athleticism at wr is our new Brady was drafted in the 6th. we are going to have to find some second and third tier comparables to call out in that style - surely there are a ton of more realistic names to toss out
  21. Obviously wildly oversimplified but not the worst version I think Shakir can be a “starter” but I don’t think we have the right complimentary piece to put beside him if you were designing an offense with him at WR2. Having a dude that backs up safeties opposite him would let him feast underneath in a different way.
  22. ((I think the original post you replied to about the ordering was a joke, sir))
  23. who are we to argue the experts
  24. that he seemingly lost his leg mid season sure does indicate a possible injury but if hurt why in the world didn’t they pick someone up and let him heal for a bit? if not hurt, they seemingly lost a ton of confidence in him which is also worrisome. it’s a lose-lose for evaluating last years results but hopefully he plays better this year honestly that kick worries me less than how they used him the entire back half of the season
