  1. he’s a half step ahead of fitz. And while we all love fitz… that’s only marginally a compliment thats why it was so strange that @GunnerBillinsisted Josh was literally identical in quality so many times for so many years. That he event stretched it off the field to specify that Josh wasn’t even better a golf or magic tricks was super odd at the time.
  2. or maybe I’m crazy and they move them all around a lot
  3. I don’t know, I haven’t seen you prove it yet seems questionable. Are there any posts of you saying he is not Ryan tannehill?
  4. and cheetah is quietly starting to chirp about his deal too
  5. But gambling was happening whether or not sponsor dollars flowed
  6. Not a huge gambling guy myself but not opposed to it for others I don’t think a draft kings commercial or sponsored ticker dies anything huge to increase the risk of fixing games. I never understood that argument.
  7. you bring in diggs to try to win while you can still make those splash moves I mean that’s 2 out of 17 games shifting
  8. If you only care about wins over a month or two and give no consideration to how they are happening - it’s often a fast track ignoring problems that will catch up to you. as FC points out, we were winning but on the back of Josh running well and struggling in the passing game. Is that sustainable long term or just a quick bandaid? when fitz was getting every bounce and started with a lot of wins but a lot of underlying red flags, did those catch up for the “I only care about wins” crowd? yea, it’s one thing to say it about a random game here or there but eventually the other stats matter and if you are winning more than the stats indicate you should- there’s a good chance of regressing back to the outcomes other stats would predict (especially with questionable passing stats)
  9. the only stat I care about is wins over a short stretch is a great way to not sustainably win over a long stretch.
  10. plenty as in just above the bare minimum or plenty as in among the most in the league Also, how’s that stress looking if Josh is only minimally running?
  11. I don’t think he’s an all pro out there but I see worse play around the league regularly - and at times right here. the refusal to use him is… odd.
  12. essentially even here you are saying they are in the batch of “average” pass catchers and I think we can agree that Josh is probably a decent multiplier for what we think of those guys ratings. the classic is cook-Kincaid-Coleman-Samuel really ever going to be talked about as top third of the league if not for thinking you have an absolutely elite match up nightmare at qb? If you sub Josh for even a middle of the pack cousins/tua type of player at qb suddenly the group is a wreck.
  13. less than 700 yards as a wr is a tough one. It could be a sign of talent but just as easily there are also a metric ton of guys that given the right reps could pull 500-700 yards because “someone has to catch the ball” and even terrible offenses put up thousands of passing yards.
  14. he’s tough, and can play teams, and is a fine enough depth Wr…. And most importantly some of his pay was guaranteed which would be a tie breaker amongst some other similar guys.
  15. And for what amounts to nearly zero effort on his part - rehab his image a bit by showing up in his most charismatic form for a couple days instead of forcing his team to answer questions (and him act shocked that he will also be asked them later)
  16. Ive always said if a guy throws zero picks in practice that’s kind of a concern itself. You can’t be an idiot out there all the time but sometimes you have to actually take the learning reps and that’s by far the best place to see what you can and can’t get away with, right? obviously you want to see lots of success but having zero fails means you probably aren’t pushing yourself much either. There’s a balance there.
  17. yea you have to be a real jerk to change your opinion of a guy off an OTA practice having a couple errant balls. if you thought he was a bum with major accuracy issues I get feeling some confirmation if he’s sailing passes but…. Pretty complete prospect having a mediocre practice l? Pfffffft.
  18. yea it feels like the solution was a true minor league and not leaning into universities being premium sports entertainment meccas i get the toothpaste is out of the tube and has been for decades but…. It’s not a particularly reasonable approach to shove these two pieces together under one umbrella
  19. my least favorite recent was banning resale below face for an event that wasn’t sold out. Like couldn’t use any other vendor and had to be at or above cost for a GA show… fun eating the cost of those tickets when plans changed
  20. I do not believe those attendee numbers to be true but… im assuming it’s counting the same fan about 8 times over the weekend going into different events and most of those are locals
  21. I should have been clear I was agreeing on McGovern
  22. I haven’t been super excited about the center situation but of the question marks I do think he is one that could actually end up emphatically filling the hole he is slotted up for. It’s no guarantee but he’d be the least shocking of the safety, center, wr1, etc… to actually hit it out of the park
  23. well shoot- if we are getting all of their best years
  24. we were 13 seconds away from playing in the game to get to the game…. while I agree they had a shot…. They couldn’t hold on for 13 seconds so 120 more minutes is quite the journey left to reach the goal
  25. We are halfway through this ride and haven’t come particularly close. At some point that’s got to be a problem.
