like if he had an offensive line protecting him? -

it’s like he forgets he’s the last line of defense and not eating a blocker for a player behind him -

because you want fewer receivers running routes and Josh getting the ball late without eyes downfield -

yup. I just don’t see the point of putting the defense super aware of a trick play and then just have it be very slow to get to Josh. even a flea flicker is at least a mid play surprise -

This is where we see what the wide receivers are really made of. Need plays downfield and the defense knows it -

they are both bigger AND more athletic pretty much everywhere but qb… it’s a tough matchup when they can out muscle and out run you -

Weird how having all your linebackers, nickel corner and safeties out hurts your ability to stop these backs how long til the tight ends become trouble too? -

by the nfl medical staff to be more exact -
yea to have a scientific research and education facility have a 10s of millions sports entertainment arm is kind of absurd and it shouldn’t shock anyone that the outgrowths of that are often messy and morally uncomfortable the top 50 or so D1 football programs and maybe top 25 men’s basketball just have too much money in them to be a university endeavor (thresholds thrown out there without much thought- just getting at the elite revenue generator teams in general)
-
im aware. It’s a house built on a broken foundation 100 years ago and as the money grew so did the disconnect between what we have vs what probably should be. I’m not saying there are easy left turns from here. The money is too big for colleges to step aside and the barriers to entry are pretty large for a new league. the closest alternative would have been instead of injecting NIL money, allowing kids to declare and let the nfl develop the ones chasing immediate pay days instead of education and reps playing the game
-
the answer still is and always should’ve been: if you want pay to be an entertainer go be a professional the idea that colleges have these just absurd arrangements attached and a for profit unaffiliated league couldn’t be reasonably offered is wild. I know the toothpaste is decades out of the tube but just remarkable how wild it’s gotten and will get when the obvious original answer is to give an alternative path for professional athletes outside of college settings and colleges remain academic settings

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…

he also will never be part of the answer either hes the fitz of running backs without the beard or Ivy League pedigree. Good enough to play in the league but not who you want. -
the fitz test, right? Slings it all day but when the windows tighten up the deficit shows. On the bright side we have a guy that can just carry a drive like that instead of putting it all on the WRs I’d almost remind folks of the colts defense with manning. Playing with a lead can do great things for the unit. We will see how they handle some adversity. Itll be an interesting storyline to watch. luckily, we have a cheat code in Josh Allen.

I’ll go with lesser charges, eat a modest sentence and quietly come out in 5-10
-
im not arguing he’s great or anything. I think he’s a perfectly normal decent nfl coach.
-
I mean he lost 34-31 in Buffalo with Skylar at qb. It’s not like he’s never gotten the team up to play in bad situations. First up, it’s inevitable to be a crapshoot with those talent deficits at qb. Then there is the reality that Green Bay gets their qb back any day while Miami may have seen theirs have his career ended. Totally different situation for the other 52.

Gabe will always go down as one of the strangest bills players for me. slow deep threat. Got game balls with no catches. Hard worker that didn’t seem to have the football IQ to be remotely qb friendly. you want to like the guy but he might’ve been the worst starter in the team too
