  1. we all know we have won a lot of close games… but often mess up in the biggest moments. stopping a team that fired their coach in October is not winning against the chiefs in january and his issues were part of what kept this close for the jets in the first place.
  2. At this point, nothing changed, I don’t feel worse about him than I did yesterday… and they refused action then. we will see but not expecting it
  3. the team who fired their coach this week and is considered a hot mess
  4. don’t point at tonight as a win for McDermott
  5. Yea- I’ll take a win but it was just an unpleasant experience that the league produced overall. Could’ve been a fun game too.
  6. for reference, brutal is a 4m hit bumping to 7m if cut and not split between 24-25. its not exciting but its not brutal either. This is cutting a wr3 or good backup type of money - not Deshaun Watson. you don’t keep the guy just because of the hit
  7. but a not great candidate to promote internally to WR2
  8. perfect - you are up to a cherry picked 26M of the 39M are we just going to keep rolling guys you don’t like til you get to an apples to apples comparison of the dedicated space?
  9. so if they get paid they are off limits from further commentary about their play?
  10. Samuel plus another player, even in this hypothetical you are laying out
  11. you know, I’m not sure we are much better if we added Gabe back. but even before he left I was on the train that he was net neutral at best. Would Josh look better with Gabe instead of Keon? sure with Samuel dinged up and shakir hurt more warm bodies would be good but… oh I’ll buy the irony is amusing
  12. im not hating on him or hoping he fails but I think in our meaningless football chatter on a discussion board - seeing where a guy we held our breathe on for four years ends up in his career isn’t poor form. Incredibly little we do on this board is super cool and infinitely productive - so the high ground is maybe a little too preachy in swinging the opposite direction
  13. if you make 40% less do you consider that similarly paid? a single year cap hit is perhaps the least meaningful contract comparison possible.
  14. meh. I think it’s still open ended debate on who the guy is, right? seems like a 40 catch 650 yard kind of guy which isn’t particularly productive unless he’s incredibly efficient in producing that… and he’s not. I don’t think Gabe deserves hate but I understand frustration towards the team or sometimes fellow fans in that debate.
  15. Wait when did they change kickoffs?
  16. if we are up two touchdowns I bet they give him many fewer touches i know a thing or two about complimentary football and if you are going to have undersized linebackers and ed Oliver — you probably want an explosive offense, not one that’s grinding out games.
  17. because they didn’t have his number? they said they talked to bills security and teammates first saying without follow up within a week that they would need to follow up with bpd it felt like they way overshared if cook got word and ignored it prior to police - it’s a jerk look. If the teammate didn’t pass on word or some similar and cook didn’t have any idea the tab was still open - no big deal
  18. its going to be like the teams of old where we are counting contingencies to get to 10-7 and squeeze in. This one I think has a better shot in a bad AFC east but if Josh doesn’t get sidelined we would like be the favorite for a real ugly division championship still. The type where the top wildcard might have a better record and be stuck coming to Buffalo week 1
  19. yea- there were several minutes to prepare loose contingencies of “short gain needed, fast” vs “Hail Mary” to come out of the punt unsure what’s happening is a mess. 10 guys and not playing either strategy is a pretty tremendous fail, we’ve seen a lot of those in tight games you seem to be echoing that coaching to lose the way least upsetting to fans is the best approach it’s a terrible approach.
  20. or by our coaches. either way we are not getting the value of a 1st, and a $13m/TE
  21. But what if we win even fewer super bowls without him?!?
  22. part of the problem is total lack of talent at WR its hard to scheme up a viable modern offense without wr talent Brady has had mishaps too but when Mack Hollins is your dude the rest is rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. because we have Allen we will have some good weeks if he doesn’t get killed first. If Josh does get hurt we might see a true top young WR drafted though!
