Sans Allen, who are the untouchable players moving forward?
NoSaint replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall
it’s amazing someone sat through the 20 years prior and could type that -
Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!

what’s the change in risk at his current state? -
rebuild was never the right phrasing based on how many here use the term. When the expectation is a championship ring, any small step back instead of pushing chips on the table is a rebuild. Even in those years you can be a reasonably good team when you’ve got a Josh Allen.

Fine handed out for Rapp's penalty against Miami
NoSaint replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
im not sure if you realize it but all 32 teams have fans that say the same -
Fewer tv angles may actually make the game more enjoyable in this regard. im not sure officiating fell off a cliff so much as we can now hyper monitor every detail room for improvement but maybe not as drastic as seems

If it’s that bad he shouldn’t be out there though, right?

The decision to go for the FG - right or wrong?
NoSaint replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
yea but he’s employed for like 8 other months a year to develop his decision making tree and become confident in obscure scenarios. I log on a message board in my spare time. -
because schoen is coming back here and wants to win - duh
-
so your defense of him is that they were likely losing either way?
-
he left his feet to get high enough it’s not like he aimed chest and the receiver unexpectedly came down it was textbook terrible. And not his first. I don’t think he misses time but he should be squarely on the radar for it going forward
-
Didn’t he have one in September? Any others this season? That’ll be the real tell on how harsh they go
-
In the same way we look for our own pga tour card after every big drive or putt… he’s got to do it week in and week out. It’s a start. the other half will be the unit too - bad hold today, a tipped kick or two…. it is a big moment. Hopefully a turning point but by itself, it’s still a high risk bunch.
-
meh. One kick doesn’t wipe a year and a half
-
yup. even if you think bass is an issue on his own - there are a variety of other issues across the units, plus how bass has been handled which is separate from bass himself
-
I’ll continue to echo - the only defense of bass would be making a move at STC. at some point the unit has too many issues
-
counter: you can’t bet on any other injuries second counter: what’s the actual bet, that he gets put into concussion protocol? You know, since medical records are not released and all
-
I would say you can go by more than that, right? You still have your own logic and reasoning and they you can’t find it.
-
often these odd numbers are a flat fine that’s seen percentage increases each year
-
if he heals well he may kick off 2025 week 1 healthy enough to play. the real question is if he gives any discount to get in a building early or if he goes absolute max dollars but maybe even misses a few weeks to get signed

Cook/Shakir/Oliver/Benford vs Hall/Wilson/Williams/Gardner
NoSaint replied to Chugga's topic in The Stadium Wall
yea, though I’d suspect some portion of those is breece getting short yardage and goal line touches that cook didn’t. Also against stacked boxes with junk quarterbacks. Also in his first games back from injury. Also with Hackett as OC honestly I don’t think the two are far off each other though. To those saying he has no vision and it’s just wide open lanes - we should scheme up some of them for cook I guess. -

because we only see highlights and projections of high fantasy draft pick status? I think cook and hall are not widely spaced in this discussion. For 1 game on Sunday I probably take breece but not mad if I get cook. The next few years? I could see going either way depends on defining elite? he’s definitely a tier up from the just solid starters but not some generational talent either. -

as general rankings or fantasy rankings? As those are very different topics. if we could swap any of them individually, or all 4 as a group, I’d have a hard time passing (ignoring any contract considerations, etc… just swapping jerseys on Sunday) -
to be honest, who knows on this one… I haven’t found the succinct summation of how diggs operates. He does seem to care immensely about perception of him, but has a not particularly mature grasp on how to manage that perception. His day to day behavior and his public front he tries to put out are two different things. he’s plenty narcissistic- work hard play hard - and will clearly use people he wants to be well liked He wants to be the biggest star he wants to curate an image. he struggles dealing with challenges to that and does the childish things when either of those are challenged or the two aren’t aligned (being well liked and the star). He ensures plausible deniability to preserve the image but will be insufferable to be around. did he go because he was the most emotionally invested or because he was “supposed to go”? Who knows… just like he started the bad guy act being stuck as WR2 in Minnesota- sitting in the shadow of JA17, the chiefs and mahomes…. And then even his own brother a bit… his luster wore off in Buffalo and it was time for cryptic comments and behind the scenes agitation again.

Yea, looked acl at his age, demeanor and his position, might be (for all meaningful purposes) all she wrote for him. will be a tough guy to sign in the offseason. Probably goes the route of Odell from here with a couple long off seasons of speculation followed by minimal impact
