Jared Goff didn't want to be drafted by Buffalo (unsubstantiated)

genetically speaking I hate the implication of saying you’ve never been much of an athlete or, simply an ill received joke -
yea but you’ve got to admit there’s a pretty wide gap between what’s happening and force feeding. he *should* have at least some schemes up touches.

it was still a 42 point week. Not the end of the world but not a celebration either. admittedly it was largely that we have super man at the most important position
-
I think he’s enjoying winning more than anything but it’d be nice to see him get in a rhythm at some point before the playoffs

probably faster than walking, in most stadiums, if you are catching a quick IV

12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game 2nd half Thread
NoSaint replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
and who is in the players ears before big plays telling them the really important things to consider? that the XP and kickoff didn’t burn the 2 minute warning isn’t going to hurt today but it’s the reason we have had unheard of tragic losses -
Niners scorn 'selfish' De'Vondre Campbell's refusal to play

he’s a backup LB that turns 32 in the offseason- that puts him in the top 1ish oldest LBs at that point? his career was over in a couple weeks. It’s just wild that this is the final note he would leave for himself to live with the rest of his life instead of getting out there and playing his last few snaps as a celebration of his career -
ultimately most of the deals are so new that you don’t save money and the guys are playing as expected. So AJE and Oliver are likely safe. I do not believe Milano will be even if he returns to form. You have to shift those dollars to long term cornerstone players when you have suitable replacements available. I like Milano but you have to move on even if he’s healthy and set to go.

if running the sneak, a wild second play would be to have a wr drift towards the sideline during the scrum and see if he goes unnoticed by the db when you basically have everyone stand up and quick snap

the gap is often the number of years guaranteed. the pay is a yes/no question of are you starting. The length is the are we confident you will stay off the bench, either you are a bonafide starter or you are paid as a starter but on an audition duration.

weird how a nearly 37 year old qb playing on Thursday late in the season might not be sharp

playing on 4 days rest on the road in the division?
-
A few notes- coming out of retirement might not be 100%. He tried to find a gig and is now taking one of the very first opportunities since he and the pats parted ways i imagine there aren’t many examples of successes - or failures- to look at for guys taking jobs in their 70 i suspect he dictates a lot more in process and structure instead of day to day scouting here last up, the afc east is much tougher than the acc

Where was the defensive adjustment on Puka Nakua?
NoSaint replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea, I don’t think it was a blueprint anymore than the giants having the blueprint for the pats. Sometimes having a lot of elite talent having a really good day isn’t a super replicable plan for the rest of the league. -

yup. Contrary to their record, they are a good team with multiple high end talents, a balanced attack and a savvy vet qb. and a long road trip not shocked they played very well healthy and at home. -
An absolute disaster by the coaches at the end of this game
NoSaint replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frankly, we could’ve tried to stop them after not getting the kick then The timeout counted for something even if not likely -

a 3 and out unlikely but not impossible. Make them execute. -
another thread quoted him as saying he ran the call as best he was capable I haven’t heard it with my ears but someone posted it
-
So you think they are aggressive enough to go for it on 4th and 7 if you decline but play prevent defense after pushing them back? similar issues with the sneak/timeout with play call mismatching game management strategy Sounds like he isn’t synced with his coordinators when making those calls. Not great for the game manager and play callers to be on different pages repeatedly.

and there’s a reality that he’s not really played with his current running mate at LB either

12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams post game Thread
NoSaint replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. unfortunately, I think it’s very rare in todays nfl for a team to go 20 games and not have a few shootouts. it happens almost universally at some point. Not saying it should be without critique but I think if you look at special teams debacles we are more like a bad team than a good team. Generally our defense is that of good teams -

bingo. It’s sequenced decisions that are out of alignment and don’t make sense that are most maddening. Take a 10 yard penalty then play a design to give up a minimum of 10 yards?!? I hate the sneak but if nothing else have a second hurry up play called if it fails so you can line up quick. Everyone’s on the line just standing up.
