  1. Rex has always been a character. Ray Lewis talks about what a great coach he is because he "Is a players coach." In fact most players that have played for him sign his praises. What I do know is that our offense is better than it was the previous year. But our defense, the area of the game Rex is noted for, stinks it up. Based upon comments I see in the press, I sense our defense fought Rex over what he wanted to do. That is they didn't embrace his game plans for the defense. If players don't buy in, there are going to be problems because they are not going to apply the same degree of enthusiasm and work they would otherwise do. I don't think Rex is going anywhere next season. But I do see big changes happening on the defensive side of the ball starting with Mario.
  2. This team has quit on itself and Ryan
  3. i just read he lost 20 pounds. I hate to say this but I am concerned for Seantrel. First, playing a position where weight is important this illness can do him in. Second, I can't imagine the physical conditioning necessary to play pro-football will not affect his illness.
  4. I feel the departure of Fred hurt the team's cohesion. Many were taken back and surprised by the move.
  5. I think they captured what it means to be a Bills fan. Let's face it, we are a unique group from a wonderful city.
  6. I don't know who is calling the challenges to Rex but they are asleep at the wheel....
  7. I will be doing my part and wearing my Lucky Kelly shirt...
  8. Interesting take. I hope you are right.
  9. Oh my God.... It's seriously like the Ref's just want to give every game to our opponents...
  10. OK, it will never happen. To many Egos involved. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-column-0127-20150126-column.html
  11. Absolutely. Rex is hype. But where are the results? Do the Pegula's think they will sell as many tickets next year with a disastrous season this year? Rex talked a good game but results are what matters. He has taken a top 5 defense and made it into one of the worst in the NFL. We lead the league in penalties. Yes we have injuries. Every team has them. All I could think about when EJ was handing the ball to the Jaguars was the game we played against Rex when Geno was the quarterback. This last loss has Rex's name all over it. He better pull some magic out of his hat at the bye or we will be saying bye bye to Rex at the end of the year.
  12. Sad news. I remember him well.
  13. In Nicholas Dawidoff's "Collision Low Crossers," former Broncos defensive coordinator Don "Wink" Martindale is quoted as saying Cassel "couldn't hit Black Beauty in a field of white mice."
  14. Miss Thigpen. Happy for him, sorry for us.
  15. What a great post. Please keep them coming! You make a good point in the above paragraph. Bills must continue to show restraint with the Ref's. We need to be the good guys and develop a reputation for fair play. Getting the ref's emotionally on your side is a smart call.
  16. Damn I miss Fred...
  17. Big: I totally agree. The level of officiating has been awful. In my opinion what goes on is that the Ref's, wanting to remain in control of the game, discuss what they feel they need to do up front. Teams like the Bills, that have touted being more aggressive in the press, get looked at more closely. Favorites don't. As a consequence the Bills get screwed. Less you think the Bills are the only ones, you need to look no further than the Seahawks-Lions game last night. The Seahawks bat the ball but it gets missed. Changing the calls has to do with changing our message regarding the game. We can be aggressive but we play within the rules....
  18. I get so upset with the penalties that give the game to the opponents. I just don't get it. It seems like the refs are looking harder at our team that the opposition. Maybe it's because of our history? I just don't know. To that end if the players know they are going to be held to a closer standard, they need to play with that in mind. To lose two touchdowns to penalties is just to much....
  19. I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I tire at the constant fawning over Bellacheat and Brady. Last week to hear all the sports talking heads proclaim a 16 and 0 season for the Pats as a possibility was more than I could take. I finally stumbled upon an article that had something meaningful to say about the Pats and thought I would share.... http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/new-england-patriots-probably-will-not-go-16-0/
  20. Maybe not, but it sure seemed whenever we had the momentum, a penalty would come up and throw us back. The first half was a disaster.
  21. I just hope it does not happen until after we play the Pats again. I want to beat Brady and his team on their home turf.
  22. The button on my lucky shorts popped off and I couldn't get it sewn back on in time...
  23. Glad Whaley did this. Takes our mind off the New England game....
  24. Was trolling the web and came upon this article about Ndamukong Suh ignoring play calls... " In the early going, however, Suh has been lackadaisical on defense, and during the loss to the Jaguars he was ignoring coaches' play calls, according to The Miami Herald's Adam H. Beasley:" Apparently he has been almost a non-factor in the last two games... http://www.businessinsider.com/ndamukong-suh-dolphins-disaster-2015-9
