Message from McDermott to team: “Play Fearless”
PS 56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am delighted to hear this. I felt the plays calls in the last couple of games were very conservative. Like they were taking it easy to be sure to get different things "right". I think providing the players with more freedom and flexibility will pay off. -
Football Really Is About Minimizing Errors and Josh Allen
PS 56 replied to Casey D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boy do I agree with this. The present coaching staff is more concerned with not making mistakes. They want error free football. I do not feel that is any way to learn. You have to "Push" your players. Be aggressive. Nothing shortens the learning curve like being thrown to the wolves. One of two things will happen. You will see great strides being made (like in the case of Lamar Jackson in Baltimore) or your player will fail. If the player fails it is better now than hanging on to a player that can not cut it in the long run. -
A Few Thoughts about the Redskins Game, in no particular order
PS 56 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very good review. I am with you on Oliver. I haven't seen much from him all season. The one credited sack was dubious at best. I also am frustrated with Daboll. I feel like he has put a damper on Allen. As a result Allen seems to have lost the spark that kept him dynamic and interesting to watch. -

I am wondering why it has not happened as of yet. What do the coaches know that we don't?
-
Is he in the closet?

If I were Rosen, I don't know that I would welcome this news.

So realistically, who do you want at 9?

Should Kiko be suspended for a couple of games in '19

Yes, not just for the play today but for his other nonsense in the season... -
From the Athletic: If you just look quickly at the box score, you’ll see Allen completed only 50 percent of his passes for just over 200 yards and view this as a ho-hum game. Other stats help provide context, though. For one, Allen averaged 23.4 air yards per target, second most in the league this week heading into “Sunday Night Football.” His receivers also had an average of 2.31 yards of separation at the time of the catch (second worst in the league) and 2.63 yards of separation at the time of the throw (worst in the league).

How about Matt Barkley huh?

I am thrilled Barkley is on the team. Loved watching him play at USC. -
My Love/Hate Relationship with the Bills, Fans & Allen - Rant
PS 56 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My verdict on Mahomes is out until they play Denver and Von Miller. Mahomes has played fast and loose with the ball scrambling in the backfield more than once. Maybe I'm wrong but I think his fans will come back down to earth after Sunday's game. -
He has his faults, no doubt. But I dig the beard thing.

As much as I loved to see it, I really wish he wouldn't do that.... I want to keep him around.

I dropped him from my fantasy team. It was worth a shot. Very disappointing. -
