  1. I’m actually curious to hear how Brady sees the field and action in real time. For as much as he won with less athletic ability than most around him on the football field, he should have as good as grasp as anyone what’s happening on the field and be able to share that the audience (ie “if that were me, I’d have made sure the balls were deflated before the game”).
  2. Lamar will prob win it because of timing and the buzz that was surrounding the Ravens at the end of the season (when votes were cast). But watching the Ravens game yesterday, no doubt in my mind Ravens would have won if Allen was their QB. Unfortunately, I’m not sure the voters think so clearly on such matters.
  3. Will be watching. Love everything about the Super Bowl event, plus it’s last chance to watch NFL until next year. And I will probably pull for Mahomes, just because I’d prefer a world where he is thought of as the best (until Josh beats him in playoffs), versus a world where Brock Purdy is actually taken seriously. Plus we can also say we almost took down the eventual SB winner.
  4. Once I interview them both, I’ll let you know my decision. Until then, I don’t know better than any other Joe Schmo on the street. You apparently do though lol
  5. If you don’t have OC experience, you know how you get some? You interview for an OC gig, and fingers crossed, eventually convince someone you are qualified and get hired. Assuming you’ve landed a job in life, hopefully your first employer saw more of your potential than you’re giving Thad credit for.
  6. Seems you’re the one discounting minority candidates’ resumes. While it is true that the Rooney rule requires that a minority candidate be interviewed, even if Thad is the only minority candidate that the Bills interview for their open OC position, it is still a credit to Thad and his performance that he is getting the interview versus any other minority candidate. And whether the Rooney rule exists or not, any interview is a chance for each candidate to make their case for why they would be the best candidate for the role and what they do with the offense which would be the differentiator versus the other candidates. While Brady has a huge leg up on other candidates already, if Thad or whoever else really impresses the hiring powers, they could potentially land the job instead. And worst case for Thad, he doesn’t get this job but is better prepped for future opportunities.
  7. None? Smiley has been here for seven years, this being his 2nd season as the ST Coordinator (first five were as assistant). Given the 2022 success, maybe he’s got some good will banked with McD. If he was impacting Bass’ kicking issues, wouldn’t this have shown itself prior to this season?
  8. We are all just prisoners here, of our own device.
  9. You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave.
  10. Preach, man. You got this nailed too 💯.
  11. I’m skeptical of giving John Harbaugh too much credit though. I didn’t realize it, but I saw he hasn’t been to an AFCCG since 2012? Imagine the critics if McD fell short that many years in a row?
  12. You nailed it 👍…this team can’t be losing crap games next season
  13. I always preferred 6 teams, was annoyed when they watered down the playoff entry and moved it to 7 teams. Also gave the 1 seed an even bigger advantage.
  14. Here’s a solution for other teams, stop trying to beat us 😉
  15. That’s what stung in the 90’s too, man. I still have visions of when we win one, all the guys will be there celebrating (Jim, Thurman, Bruce, Andre, even Marv)…
  16. Right. Plus, it’s still ultimately McD’s call. Unless @boyst is saying the players took it to Pegula, and Pegula told McD that Dorsey had to go. At the same time, does this mean McD/Pegula waited until after the Denver game to actually pull the trigger on what the players voted for?
  17. Aside from his own production and friction with the media, wouldn’t surprise me if Diggs is also frustrated with the team’s later season philosophy of running the ball more. Isn’t that one reason he wanted out of Minnesota and didn’t like playing for Stefanski? Maybe that’s why the team also started working him into some run plays, to try and keep him happy and give him a chance to make plays from that end. All that said, if the team decided to flip him to Dallas, we exchange 1st round picks and then get their 3rd in exchange for our 4th, I’d honestly be okay with that as it would free up some cap space for us and improve our draft stock. We aren’t going to get too much more for a high-priced WR on the wrong side of 30.
  18. The OP also doesn’t seem to understand the biggest value of being the 1 seed is getting a bye week. It’s an automatic “win” and chance to rest guys, rather than get more injuries. Injuries are one thing that came back to bite us. We were relatively healthy heading into Week 18 against Miami. But because we had to play balls out two more weeks in a row (Miami then Pittsburgh), we entered our matchup against KC all banged up. If we had instead taken better care of business earlier in the season, maybe we can rest guys down the stretch, and play the divisional round in better shape.
  19. Whether Diggs figures anything out, or has been injured, or whatever, we need to start drafting WRs that could be the next WR1. We need some young wideouts with the wheels to make some big plays for this offense. Josh can make guys like Robert Foster look like superstars for a season, imagine he gets the next Justin Jefferson he can play the next 10 years with.
  20. Damn, lots of fails here. Way to go guys, very Billsy of you all.
