On one of those Locked On Ravens episodes, their guy was complimenting Josh, and then in the same breath he then pointed out Lamar’s greatness as well. It was like he couldn’t compliment Josh without reassuring listeners that Lamar is still good too. So pathetic he felt the need to do that.

I knew you were a bot 🙃 The mic would talk more than Milano

Aside from those advantages, I would generally put 8 men in the box and dare Lamar to pass the ball. Offer plenty of blitz and stunt looks, confuse the crap out him. Don’t let the Ravens have long methodical drives where they can run over and over. If Lamar is able to hit some big plays passing, so be it. At least they aren’t dominating the time of possession then and keeping the ball out of our hands. But let’s see how Lamar is able to throw the ball in 10 degree weather, or hold onto it when he scrambles and takes a shot.

What % of the plays will we play 3 LBs on Sunday?

I would dare the Ravens to pass the ball on us. Sell out to stop the run, even if it means 8 men in the box. We can’t let them dictate the time of possession and keep our defense on the field all day. If this allows the Ravens to get some big plays and quick scores, so be it. That’s better than long, draining drives where they still get a TD. See how Lamar and his team do throwing in 10 degree weather. -
A 3rd consecutive Divisional Round home loss? No chance

Would you ever Bet Against the Bills?
strive_for_five_guy replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I usually bet ON the Bills because I have faith in them to win and it sweetens things. I generally would only bet against them if I already had a ton of money riding on the Bills (like a Super Bowl bet), and wanted to hedge in some way. Otherwise, no amount of money that I’m willing to bet would make me feel better if they lose. -
If you want to get your hopes back up, this CBS sports writer makes a good comp to Manning v McNair back in 2003, and why Josh still has a good chance to win MVP even though Lamar was 1st team all-pro. Similar argument as Peter King, makes a lot of sense. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/lamar-jackson-vs-josh-allen-which-qb-deserves-mvp-most-and-why-its-not-a-done-deal-despite-all-pro-results/amp/

This is what I’m hoping, although some pundits (like Florio & Simms) talk like it’s a certainty that Lamar is winning. Hope enough voters ultimately distinguished MVP from All-Pro this year, but not counting on it either. Regardless, if the Bills beat the Ravens this weekend, that matters more than whoever actually wins the MVP.
-
Agree, ESPN confirmed the Vikes are 24th pick. That’d be pick 56 by my count.
-
Florio and Simms are already touting Lamar as the eventual MVP (two of the voters), then saying in the same breath maybe their projected “snub” will light a fire under the Bills. Between the Raven fans and these talking heads, I want this team to beat the Ravens so bad next week. The stadium would be going nuts.

Is this Ravens game reminiscent of Buffalo/KC in 1991?

You’re seeing snow in the forecast for Sunday night? -
And I’m convinced that Texans team was laying down on Christmas. They had lost Tank Dell a few days prior in KC, and really had no chance to improve their seeding from the 4 spot. The media keeps touting how Baltimore has had the top defense over the past six weeks or so, but look at the crappy offenses they’ve played. Even more sickening if Lamar wins the MVP because they played crap teams down the stretch.
-
Agree, this team is happy to run so long as the other team can’t stop it. Baltimore is very tough against the run, arguably better than Denver at it. I’d be surprised if we’re able to be as successful running next week, but Brady will no doubt plan for that too. The Ravens have some solid players in their secondary (Hamilton is a great safety), but don’t have Patrick Surtain. I’d expect we need to open up the passing game more next week than we needed to against Denver, but we’ll see.

This Bills Team Version is much better than 13 seconds!!

No worries man, love the optimism! Hope you’re right and we keep winning. -
And then beat the Rams in the SB.
-
And they’re gonna do the same for the Chiefs in the AFCCG. Sets up nicely for this team to keep proving people wrong.
-
One could argue this will be the real Super Bowl….

The turf will hurt a big guy like Henry more when he’s tackled to it as well.

This is what I’m expecting. Chiefs/Texans first, then our game. NFC games next Sunday.
