  1. Apparently we’re everyone’s Super Bowl.
  2. So somewhat probable?
  3. Let Russ simmer
  4. I’m sure the NFL would LOVE a divisional round where we host the Chiefs, and Ravens host Flacco and the Browns. From our end, would be awesome if the Browns could upset the Ravens, then we host the Browns for AFCCG. But if we get the 2 seed, I like our chances in any matchup.
  5. So if we get in as a WC, it’s most likely we will be the #6 seed. In which case our path to the SB is likely go to KC, then Bal (us as likely worst seed left), then to Mia. Would def be a gauntlet, but we’ve shown we can beat two of those teams already. if we win the division, we will be the #2 seed (Bal #1, KC likely #3, Mia #6). We’d host whatever crappy team is the 7 seed, and the host either KC (if they beat MIA) or winner of South division/Cle matchup (I’d love to take Mahomes down in our house, although he’d scare me too). If we made it to AFCCG, we’d either go to Bal, or HOST MIAMI (Mia would need wins at KC and then at Bal). How awesome of an AFCCG would that be, hosting Mia with a chance to get back to the SB???
  6. I’m going to the game, so I’ve been thinking a lot about this question. If we’ve already clinched our WC spot too (or even if not) I could see this game instead being the Sat night at 8 pm, since it wouldn’t necessarily be win and in. The league may instead go with a game like Colts/Texans for Sun night, where the winner is in and loser out. But, I totally can see the appeal of Bills/Miami on Sun night too. i don’t believe CBS can block the league from doing what it wants in Week 18 though.
  7. Earliest we could know for sure is Sunday around 4:30, if two of Texans, Jags and Colts have lost in the early games. Steelers and Bengals both losing later on that day would also ensure we get in with 10 wins. It would def be nice if we could lock up the WC heading into Week 18, to take a little pressure off.
  8. We can only be seed #2, 5, 6 or 7 at this point.
  9. Totally agree. If only thing we can impact heading into Week 18 is our WC seeding, I rest my starters. Don’t know if it’s been pointed out already, but I believe unless we lose to New England, Miami will have something to play for in Week 18 no matter what. Either trying to hold onto 1 seed, or playing for the division. In the latter scenario, we’d obviously be going all out too. In the former, it would depend on whether we’ve locked up a WC spot or not.
  10. Apparently there have been four MVPs since 2000 that did not win their division, the last being Adrian Peterson in 2012. That path would seemingly be Miami beats Baltimore (which knocks Lamar down), and then Bills would need to have a WC spot still on the line and beat the Dolphins. In that scenario, the Dolphins would still have the 1 seed on the line, so they’d be playing for something too. And Josh would really need to be lights out the next two games. But, if the ultimate goal is Super Bowl, we should really be cheering for the Ravens to take down the Dolphins. I think that locks up MVP for Lamar, but gives us an opening for the #2 seed.
  11. Should know by about 4:30 next Sunday whether 2 of these 3 things have happened…
  12. You would also need Lamar to play pretty poorly in beating Miami next week. Bc if Bal wins, Lamar won’t be playing much or at all in Week 18, as Bal will have wrapped up the bye.
  13. We can still get in at 10-7 with the Steelers, as long as Bengals are not 10-7, and only one of Jags, Colts and Texans are 10-7, I believe. Aka two of those last three each have to lose/tie one more, which will happen for at least Colts or Texans, since they play each other.
  14. I agree with what you’re saying, the media just dotes on the “best” regular season team though. And Ravens beat the Niners tonight for the current claim of best record. Dolphins could muddy those waters next week, but then we don’t win the division. Anyone know how many league MVPs there have been for teams that did not win their division?
  15. Whether we agree with it or not (I wouldn’t), If Baltimore beats Miami next week, Lamar gonna win MVP. Miami wins, then possibly either Tua or Hill, or CMC. Just don’t see Josh winning it if the Bills don’t win the division, and that can only happen with Ravens winning next week (and Lamar then MVP).
  16. Wow, 49ers still have a shot…
  17. Go for 2 if they get a TD
  18. Would show how crazy the media was for all the Purdy hype
  19. And that’s how McD will make Lamar’s life miserable.
  20. Purdy gonna strive for five INTs tonight?
