Bills one of the more popular teams in all sports
strive_for_five_guy replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s been my experience when telling people I’m a Bills fan too. Usually support and something like “if my team doesn’t win, I’m pulling for you guys” or “Josh is the most exciting player in the game”. And the fact that we haven’t won yet, I think folks would generally be happy for us as a fanbase, like when LeBron finally won one for the Cavs or Phil Mickelson finally won a major. -
Will/Should Von be active vs. the Fish?

I think they’ve concluded he’s just not going to get where they need him to be this season. -
We need a thread about the correct spelling of complementary…

Right lol. If you guess wrong, I will tell you. If you guess right, I can’t say anything more 😉

He wants to go to a contender though, right? 😇

Anyone else thinking he’s going to end up in a Raven uniform???

Both Bills fans and team are going to rock Miami hard at Hard Rock this Sunday!!! -

NFL wild card weekend TV schedule
strive_for_five_guy replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess is us on Sunday (assuming w beat Miami). Steelers, Colts or Texans will have all played on Saturday, so they won’t want to hold our game until Monday. But it’d be cruel to put us on Saturday, given our Sunday night game in Miami. My guess is Miami @ KC on Monday, given Miami will have also played on Sunday night. Browns @ Jags on Saturday. -
Josh Allen Home Reg Season After Nov

What are the average QB stats in cold weather? Hard to say if Josh is good or not in cold weather, without a baseline to compare against. -
Some hard choices for Beane on the D-Line

Yep, top three draft needs, in my opinion, will be WR, DT and S. -
Pretty much. A road playoff game against a theoretical “2” seed. If we win, we take the 2 seed and are guaranteed at least two home playoffs, so long as we keep winning. Locations of playoff path to SB are (assuming we win): MIA (week 18) BUF BUF BAL/BUF (depending if BAL wins their divisional game) Then onto Vegas baby!

A reminder to all here of the smack he was talking then. I’ve got a feeling Diggs gonna drop another 3 TDs on them this week, been playing possum the past several weeks. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/bengals-eli-apple-says-no-ill-intent-toward-damar-hamlin-in-tweet-that-trolls-stefon-diggs-after-bills-loss/amp/

So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
strive_for_five_guy replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Trying to plan for the worst and expecting a Billsy loss Sunday night. A win, and I’ll be pleasantly surprised. As for McD, I think his strength will always be his level of preparation prior to a game. Once the game begins, it’s a matter of how far that will carry the team through a game, among other factors. This is as good a year as any, to see if what he brings to the table can take this team to the next level. -
The great thing is, by game time, we all will know for sure the circumstances. Regardless of the circumstances, Bills will have lots of incentive to win and earn the 2 seed.

100% this. I’d be shocked if any key Baltimore player played more than a series or two, if at all. All the reasons you listed for resting guys heavily outweigh any reasoning of either not wanting to be rusty OR having some vendetta against the Steelers. We knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs a few years back, so by similar reasoning, they’d just as much want to keep us out of the dance. Not to mention Josh is way more of a threat than Kenny Pickett / Mason Rudolph.

I hope you’re joking. It was a stupid analogy to use, if that’s even what he was trying to do. Plenty of other historical examples of top tier communication and preparation that he could have used to make his point, versus one of the worst attacks against our country in its history. Besides that situation though, the team does seem to have rallied since the Tyler Done article came out.
