He has plenty left in the tank. The issues were money demands, reduced practice schedule demands, and leadership/locker room concerns. Still potentially a great signing for the Titans.
Given the issues you noted, probably a good thing the Bills stayed away. -

A lot of 6th grade nonsense going on with these dudes.
Danny Boy plays for keeps. That part about the Blackmail PowerPoint is hilarious.I would LOVE to see what’s in that PowerPoint…

I keep asking myself we did the guy drop so far? He feel for a reason. Many were saying he's a good run blocker and a poor pass blocker. Hopefully, he can contribute this season. Hard to get overly excited about a rookie playing in a Bills win now mentality.
Reminds me of the Cody Ford situation. We will see how he play.
It’s a fair question. I don’t claim to be an NFL talent evaluator myself, so hopefully Torrence proves a lot of teams wrong for passing on him.- 1

Very excited to see what Torrence can bring to the table.

So we love to play zone coverage, and Elam and Dane give up some of the most separation in zone coverage? Is that on them, or by design that they play off more than other CBs in zone coverage?

It seems to me that the defense is much different from last year’s. The 2023 defense appears built more on speed than the previous. The addition of Leonard, the speed of Dorian Williams and the re-signing of Oliver makes this defense a whole bunch faster, equating to getting to the QB quicker and more often.
McDermott knowing or realizing this he may have wanted to be credited with spearheading a defense like this, one that suddenly gain an uptick in turnovers and sacks, would make his image a bit more shiny.
No. Re-signing Oliver does not make the team any faster than before. The additions of Williams and Leonard both happened after he decided he was taking over play-calling. And who knows how much Williams will even get on the field over the other LBs on the team.

The only ones I could find. But there might be others.

Looks like Ron Rivera did, Vic Mangio, Dan Quinn, so some others to add to the list in your original post. I found it interesting that Rivera actually took over to give Eric Washington time to grow and eventually learn how to call plays.

Are they the only four?

Who is our Phil Jackson then???

Ok for those joining late I will provide a recap of all information known from all sources.
Last year before the Bengals game Josh Allen cheated on his long time girlfriend with a barmaid. Knocked her up. Then had a confrontation with his ex at 3am the night before the Bengals playoff game leading to a poor performance (on the field not in the bedroom).
Diggs was angered by this because he's a competitive guy. Around the same time Allen allegedly slept with (and impregnated) one of Stef's friends wives. Then went on to have some down time with one of Stef's ex's.
MEANWHILE: Diggs feels like he has no say in the offense and wishes Ken Dorsey would stop being mean and get him the ball more. He's also cheesed off that the Bills didn't do enough to help him and take the pressure off him while also being offended that the Bills flirted with bringing in DHop...who Im sure didn't sign here because our QB can't keep his putter in his pants.
After the season everyone went their separate ways for 5 months. But they had conversations. Of course they also didn't speak at all. Stef did photo shoots. Allen was on the red carpet sleeping with movie stars and playing golf. Von was rehabbing and making statements of grandeur about Beane signing every player that made an all pro team since 1994.
Also happening at the same time Chad Hall took a lateral move to Jacksonville because he was passed over for promotion and Diggs didn't like that. Unconfirmed is if Hall took the position to keep his wife as far away from Allen's unchecked Talley whacker as possible.
It all boils over yesterday when Diggs reported to the team with the intent to practice...yet somehow left before practice. I believe McDermott said something about being "very concerned" that out out of control sex freak of a QB was targeting his wife next(citation needed).
Also, no one saw these issues coming. Except for Jerry Sullivan who was clued into the issues before they even happened by Ryan Fitzpatrick. And 95% of the board has no clue what "cap" means in modern slang.
You forgot to mention that Ryan Fitzpatrick went to Harvard 😇

“Could”, exactly lol. Does a new car cost more than a used car? You don’t build a new stadium and then not charge more.- 1

Ya I think McD got in Beanes ear and said enough is enough and that he has the confidence he can take this D to another level, with full control. Which is hard considering how good they been but we all know they fell short in many big games
Even looking at Fraziers demeanor, he rarely or never shows emotion or intensity and that showed through the years, even though they were a great unit.
McD will bring that intensity
Given Frazier’s aspirations to become a HC again, I’ve been wondering whether he’s been half-distracted come playoff time because he’s also trying to land a HC gig at the same time. Could be wrong about that, but maybe McD’s been thinking something similar and that’s why he’s ready to take more control versus someone else coming in and doing the same thing in the playoffs.- 1

Damn, that looks good. I’d be ready to run through a brick wall after that breakfast too. Excited for what Rapp might bring to the team this year.

If so, seems like that is something you could fix, but it's puzzling it hasn't happened by now.
Not to mention, I thought getting off the line was supposed to be his strength when he was drafted. Doesn’t seem to have consistently translated to the NFL for him.

Is taking the year off to focus on Head Coaching interviews another way of Frazier saying that interviewing while the Bills have playoff games is distracting to him?

Cleveland showing interest, apparently. Not sure how Hopkins feels about DeSean Watson, but the dude can sling the ball. And Cleveland does have more cap space than us.
Watson needs someone to help massage his stats.

Shell + Hopkins = Shopkins. Just missing the 2nd part of that equation.

The league didn't want the "goat" to be exposed.
I was being a little tongue in cheek, as I totally agree with your take. When the Pats were winning Super Bowls, the last thing the league would want is for a crowned Super Bowl champ to be deemed a fraud. The league had a lot of incentive to turn a blind eye and downplay anything the Pats were doing against the rules at that point, because it would bring into question the entire integrity of the NFL. Now that the Pats aren’t winning, it makes one wonder if the league is quicker to punish them for their violations of rules.

Are you suggesting that the league turned more of a blind eye when the Pats* were winning Super Bowls?

Ha, maybe. I still think the Bills will win the game. But I think the Jags will be our toughest home assignment given the circumstances.
I agree with you that Jags will be tough. Lawrence will be entering his third NFL season now and getting a weapon in Calvin Ridley. And Etienne will be second season removed from his injury.
On the question posed by the OP, I’d prefer an easier to middle of the pack schedule, whatever ultimately would increase our chances to earn the bye. Unfortunately, I think we have our work cut out for ourselves this year.
Name a random Bills player and one thing you remember about them

Great story! Apparently his normal jersey 37 was ripped during the game too, so he had to wear 31, which ended up being retired by the franchise until 1991. Never knew that.
