Is the AFC Championship the "actual" Super Bowl??
strive_for_five_guy replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought us against the Ravens was actually the Super Bowl. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

Anyone sick by game time: Someone should point out they got shutout by Denver, and a week later we beat the Broncos 31-7 😃 -
The odds aren’t changing. Any odds referenced are outdated, especially any with Josh as the favorite. Most books aren’t even offering odds at this point.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

Hope Cole doesn’t read about how big of a game this is then 🙃 -
Who comprises the PFWA? Any of the actual MVP voters?

If Lamar wins, it’s because Raven fans are bigger crybabies. They went all out in their PR campaign the couple weeks while their team was still trying to win the division. The irony is because they didn’t wrap up their division until Week 18, Zay Flowers then got hurt and that may have been the difference the other night.

All this talk about lack of separation in passing game

Agreed, we need to draft another with one of our 1st or 2nd rounders this year. -
All this talk about lack of separation in passing game

Yet Coleman was on the field way more than Cooper the other day, wasn’t he? Is Cooper just not able to get separation at this point, and Coleman is the better option? Is Cooper just not committing enough during the week and hence not seeing the field? I was excited about the trade for him, but his recent usage is perplexing. -
He’s a national treasure

Here’s a fun one from Florio a year ago, arguing that stats shouldn’t dictate MVP OR 1st team All-Pro QB: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/some-voters-consider-picking-lamar-jackson-as-nfl-mvp-but-not-as-first-team-all-pro-quarterback Yet here is Florio touting Lamar as PFT’s MVP this season, because of his stats: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/pfts-2024-nfl-most-valuable-player-lamar-jackson Seems like he’s contradicting himself, if you ask me.

Great, how am I supposed to focus on work tomorrow now?

If we wanted to keep him, why would we want to the value of his next contract to be higher? Ultimately, I don’t think it’s going to matter, because I think it’s clear he’s nothing more than depth for them at this point and he won’t be any younger next season. They’ll be better off using an early draft pick to add to the WR stable.

I’m very happy with how far we made it.

I actually feel a huge weight off the shoulders after beating the Ravens the other night. I think it’s because I really wanted to beat them and stop all the Lamar is better than Josh talk, because I think Josh has been criminally underrated this season (more than even in the past). And also because I have a lot of confidence that we can repeat the same thing against the Chiefs this weekend. So many teams have been letting them off the hook this year, were the only ones that haven’t. And I would be surprised if in some way we let them off the hook this weekend, rather than Josh and team do everything in their power to get this team back to the Super Bowl. I would be shocked if this team isn’t ready to ball out on Sunday night, and put a stop to that stupid tomahawk chop as well. -
Codrington named to PFWA All-Rookie Team
strive_for_five_guy replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m vaguely remembering that the Bills teams of the 90s getting certain players in on returns in more important games too, although my memory could be way off. It also frees up a roster spot to call others up. -
