  1. That the Stevie Johnson why so serious game?
  2. Whatever it is (maybe trust too?), seems like the vets get first dibs at playing time under McDermott, until almost undoubtedly proven otherwise.
  3. From a playing time standpoint, my belief is that McDermott has a philosophy of milking the vets as long as he can, in order to give the younger guys more time to develop their fundamentals and earn the playing time. Examples in my mind have included Peterman over Josh, Gore over Singletary, Sanders over Gabe, the Bates situation, etc. Only when things like injury or the stakes force his hand, does he put his best hand on the table. Could be wrong, although that’s my best guess.
  4. Von’s currently 32nd on the all-time sack list. If he can stay healthy, he could be pressing top 10 on the list towards the end of the 3rd season with us. Let’s get it, Von! https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/sacks_career.htm
  5. I don’t need to “act” like he is a scrub. He really just is a scrub.
  6. Yes, important that we all coalesce around CB being the biggest need for this team, at this point.
  7. Just to make it clear, the Steelers didn’t release him, his contract was up. Haden wants more than the $4M/year they paid to get Levi.
  8. LB is another position I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills addressed earlier than expected. With Tremaine entering last year of his deal, Beane may want to have a potential backup plan in place.
  9. (Crowder $4M + Howard $3.5M) > Beasley $7M…solid work Beane counter
  10. Next up, Joe Haden
  11. Seems like just a real chill dude too, very laid back.
  12. Even though at the back-end of his career, he would still be an upgrade over Levi.
  13. I initially thought this was going to be a thread about someone dying, so it’s actually taken a positive turn!
  14. Stefon also said he wants five Super Bowl rings here, so he’s still got some business to finish on that one.
  15. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think part of their problem is the dead money they have in Khalil Mack and several other players. Glad we’re not in their boat.
  16. Keenum to Diggs: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb--T87Jf2Y
  17. I’d venture to say that Beane is willing to do this, but in the meantime, business is open if a solid veteran is willing to sign at a fair price beforehand as well. One thing I love with Beane’s approach is the flexibility his plans allow for.
  18. Sounds like a fair assessment. Rumors are swirling around Barkley maybe returning as backup QB. Who would you want as the value FA CB?
  19. Definitely not “running it back” this year.
  20. The OP just spitballing?
  21. And the second guy can “appreciate”someone getting their face pressed into a turd on the playground, is that from experience??? LOL
  22. What do you mean, I heard their reign over the AFC East was already done? (Sorry had to re-post this garbage)
  23. I agree. Even though McKissic wanted to stay initially, after not getting an offer until someone else gave an offer, he should have told them FU. Yes, crappy that Washington did what they did, but McKissic and his agent also could have said no way then.
