YA Think Fred & Marshawn Are P.Oed ??
strive_for_five_guy replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably not. If the Bills are going to be successful, Fred knows he will still get his touches too. Plus, he's still coming off of injury. As for Marshawn, he is getting paid a crapload of money to do nothing but break the law, so I don't see why he'd be pi$$ed either. Maybe someday he'll get "it", but I don't really care either way. I'm suspecting the fact that it's a contract year for him though, he will have some fire when he does get touches this year. -

Spiller will really open up A LOT of eyes this weekend if he makes some plays like those in the video -

Haha love the optimism and hope you are right. We will find out in less than a week! I will be doing my part cheering at the Ralph to squish to fish! -
I agree with that. Sure, TJ is 32 and may not have many seasons left. But, we lose Lynch after this year as well. I think TJ would have more value to us moving forward. Seattle may actually find a guy like Lynch useful compared to their current backfield.

I WAS WRONG ABOUT THE SPILLER PICK!!!
strive_for_five_guy replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
couple points i don't think i've seen yet: 1.) you can't teach speed. if you watch tape of spiller in college and see what he has done in the pros, defenders cannot catch spiller in the open field. 2.) i don't believe the spiller pick is really a "luxury pick". remember, this is a contract year for lynch and fred jackson is 29. if the bills don't successfully trade lynch, this gives them a full year to pound on lynch, and avoid wear & tear to freddy & CJ. next year, lynch is gone, jackson is 30, and spiller has a full year of experience under his belt. so, instead of next year debating whether we need to resign lynch or draft some unknown out of college, we have a RB who has a full year of experience in Gailey's system and was rated far and away as the top RB in this year's draft. and spiller doesn't seem to be an a-hole yet either. and if the rest of the team still sucks, we can focus on drafting for one of those other needs while being assured we have one of the most explosive players in the NFL. -
Bills' Wang is out on the field

You can't give anyone else the chance to take your Wang away from you. Given the proper coaching, Wang should really grow. -

Are the Bills getting a swagger
strive_for_five_guy replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we r definite favorites heading into next season -
No idea if there's already another topic on this subject, but I was reading through all the headlines from the game yesterday and the Toronto reporters continue to have no problem bashing the whole idea of the Bills playing there. It seems that most articles out of Toronto just reiterate how horrible attending a Bills game is. I understand that most of the Bills games there so far have been unexciting, but if they can't appreciate last night's game, what can they ever appreciate? I can't fully express how much this annoys me right now, but I do know that for all that the Bills put us through, us true Bills fan do appreciate what we have. Is anyone else annoyed with this attitude coming from Toronto?

Lee Evans vs Miles Austin
strive_for_five_guy replied to Talley56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone please tell me how much Evans sucks again. The guy showed once again tonight that when given the opportunity, he's there to make the big play. How about pick on the o-line that is going to get someone killed... -

Lee Evans vs Miles Austin
strive_for_five_guy replied to Talley56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I completely disagree with anyone that says Evans stinks. When the ball is put near his hands, how many times can you think of where Evans has dropped the ball? It may be debatable whether Evans is getting open or not, but I can assure you that if I were the QB, Evans wouldn't have many catches no matter how open he is. My point is how can anyone judge Evans with the current clowns under center? Here's an article reiterating the fact that Evans has great hands: http://www.aaronschatz.com/stat-analysis/2...nsive-drop-rate "As for the receivers with the best hands? Five players were not registered with a single drop, including Greg Camarillo (73 targets), Robert Meachem (66), Pierre Thomas (45), Brian Westbrook (34), and Delanie Walker (33). T.J. Houshmandzadeh only dropped two passes on 140 targets, which seems like a function of his usage pattern, but it's hard to reconcile that logic when Lee Evans only dropped one of the 95 targets thrown to him. Finally, the two-year totals (minimum: 30 targets in each season). The "best hands" group would have made for a hell of an offense in their respective peaks, with Brian Westbrook (0.9 percent Drop Rate) at halfback, Sidney Rice (1.3 percent) and Lee Evans (1.5 percent) at wideout, and Tony Gonzalez (1.7 percent) catching whatever's left at tight end. The offense on the other side of things would not be as effective; in fact, most of the players involved are available for pretty cheap these days. Marshawn Lynch (15.4 percent Drop Rate) is the halfback, James Jones (9.8 percent) and Mark Bradley (9.3 percent) are the wideouts, and Donald Lee (12.5 percent) is the tight end." -
Last time we were this stocked at RB??
strive_for_five_guy replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends on what you mean by "stocked". If you mean a lot of quality RBs, I would argue that we are more stocked TODAY. Outside of Thurman, our current RBs are probably better than all of the other RBs above. Kenny was a good change of pace back, but I could probably argue that Jackson, Lynch and Spiller are all better RBs. Spiller still needs to prove it, but I'm betting he will have the best career out of our current group of RBs. Problem is, you could have 5 starting RBs, but you can't get them all 20 carries a game. I'd rather have one Thurman with a Kenny as backup, than three pretty good RBs. -
Here's a good question - How many players from that game are still playing in the NFL?

A major change that nobody is mentioning....
strive_for_five_guy replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right, switching to a 3-4 isn't easy. Hopefully some of the guys the Bills drafted can help with that conversion. If Schobel comes back, I really question where he is going to fit in. -
