  1. Payton already coached a 6th grade team once, didn’t need to do it again.
  2. Joey Spags still has nothing to say about that one.
  3. He was injured his rookie season and I know he’s been on the sideline recently, although was he injured last year at all? Just wondering if even when healthy, he isn’t showing anything unique to justify playing time.
  4. PFF seems to give more weight to a coach’s offensive ranking than defensive, when assigning an overall ranking. Wondering whether their offensive and defensive rankings underscore the player development aspect and team cohesiveness aspects of fielding a winning team too, which I view as strengths of McDermott. On the other hand, is in-game management considered here?
  5. I’m told they’re good at massaging the numbers 😎
  6. Well plus Belichick knows he has to play teams like the Bills twice a year, Jonathan is coming off injury, and the Pats lost JC Jackson. So, he probably figures they need extra help at CB altogether.
  7. I call dibs on the 98 days until the season starts thread
  8. I was thinking 69 would suit him just fine.
  9. Watson about 17 points too high
  10. You could always share notes with Jerry Sullivan; I’m sure he could help you find something to complain about.
  11. His stats as last season wore on would support that. I don’t see how they’d fit him onto the roster, at this point.
  12. Khalil Shakir going to make it harder for Stevenson to get those gameday reps. Could serve as the return guy, with solid YAC and field awareness in college too.
  13. Location being Nashville probably doesn’t hurt Josh’s willingness to participate.
  14. Got it. Looking ahead to 2023 cap, does seem like it will be tough to retain Edmunds, Poyer and Knox, while also keeping Gabe Davis in mind too. I’m probably forgetting other key pieces too. Maybe with some restructuring and use of the franchise tag we’ll make some things work, but definitely a big year for all of those guys to prove their worth and Beane to solve for. More reason to get our first Super Bowl win this season.
  15. I think the NFL needs to keep Watson suspended indefinitely until more facts on the other lawsuits are established. Given what’s been revealed in lawsuit #1, what more might get shared in lawsuits #2-22? Even if one deems the facts in lawsuit #1 to be not as “extreme” as instances elsewhere, which is debatable itself, what other bombshells are just waiting to be released? I know Watson will be meeting with the NFL, but how can they trust anything he’s saying until more of the legal process plays out? The NFL will have A LOT of egg on the face if they let him on the football field and more is revealed at that point.
  16. So can we be over the cap right now or not? Seems to be differing conclusions in this thread.
  17. I’ll go on record with the Bengals. Of AFC foes, their offensive potential scares me the most and I think Burrow & company will continue to thrive. Chiefs take a step back without Tyreek.
  18. Can we throw a poll into this thread?
  19. Browns have already ***** all over Mayfield. No way even the Browns let him suit up for them next year.
