I’m a similar age as the OP. My memory is that in 1990, there was still skepticism around how good the team was until we beat the Raiders in Week 5. After that, we were considered to be right up there with the 49ers and Giants as the best teams in the league, boosted further when we beat the Giants later in the regular season. Is it accurate to say that the team today is more highly regarded/feared than the 1990 Bills were, prior to even making any Super Bowl?

Is it possible that the Bills decided to not activate White this week because they didn’t need to, and otherwise would need to push someone else off the 53–man roster that they didn’t want to yet? For instance, if someone gets injured this Sunday, it might make it that much clearer whose spot Tre will take on the 53, heading into the Jets game. Thoughts on there being some calculated strategy behind their approach?

I wish the organization would just come out and acknowledge that. Very deceiving on their part, extremely bothersome, and makes me question what else they are hiding.

Just think, $165M guaranteed is roughly two seasons’ worth of Broncos season ticket revenue alone. If I’m a fan of that team, I’d be pissed!

To be fair, while the question of whether other RB options are worth trading for is valid, the conclusion you draw in your opening statement leaves a lot to be desired. Just because McCaffrey is now off the market, does not mean that other RB options out there are now worth it for us.

The Bills best chance of something like this happening is that Rousseau or Oliver step up their play to an elite level, because otherwise the Bills would not have the salary cap space to add one of these other stars to their defense with what they’re already paying Miller, Josh, and everyone else.
