  1. Keon at the 1:30 mark at Josh’s MVP status: "It took this long? S---, he was MVP five games ago," Coleman said when asked about Allen being the front-runner. "But I'm biased." I think him and Josh will be alright.
  2. They sound like a bunch of spoiled brats.
  3. Well and I believe each voter has a 1 thru 5 vote, with the player ranked 1 getting the highest weight. So it’s even more complicated than 25-25 and less likely a co-MVP could happen.
  4. Gonna hear a lot of sour Ravens fans complaining over the next several weeks. Beating them in Buffalo will help shut them up.
  5. Lamar didn’t need to play Week 18 last year either and still won MVP easy. Josh isn’t going to get dinged for finishing his test early and being 13-3 doing it.
  6. MVP isn’t announced until a couple days before the Super Bowl.
  7. Tony Romo going to help hype Josh up today and bring the MVP home for him.
  8. When Burrow’s team doesn’t make the playoffs next week, he should get exactly zero first place votes for MVP.
  9. From the forecast I saw, wondering if wind will be the bigger factor than rain at this point.
  10. We will ultimately find out when the votes are cast where Acho lands. People can’t just glaze Josh nonstop when Lamar is actually putting up better numbers. After Lamar’s performance on Wed, Acho acknowledged the race isn’t over yet, but also posted a video clarifying how the MVP is about which play is most valuable, not necessarily who has the best stats. Whoever Acho and others vote for, they’re ultimately going to need to answer for that, so a measured approach is to show consideration for various perspectives. I continue to believe if Josh and the team lock up the 2 seed tomorrow, barring a horrible day by Josh, he will end up winning MVP. And he still has a decent shot to win it even with a bad day in a win tomorrow.
  11. Exactly. The big difference is that Kurt Warner was 14-2 that season, whereas Josh squeaked into the playoffs at 11-6. Lamar’s record was a key reason he won MVP last year. And since Josh beat the other two 1 seeds this year and hopefully after tomorrow has this team at 13-3, is one key reason I believe Josh will get voted in as MVP this year.
  12. Well said, man. Many of the analysts WANTED to be able to crown Josh MVP already this year, heck I wish he were crowned as well. Didn’t matter anyone’s color. But Lamar does have generally better stats than Josh, and the Bills O just put up a less than memorable performance against the Pats. And then Lamar just went out and put up some solid numbers against Houston, including an electrifying run, a team that Josh struggled mightily against. Plus, Baltimore beat us down pretty good in Week 4. Does this hurt the feelings of the homers out there? All that said, I can also still lay out a solid case for Josh. We gave the Chiefs and Lions two of their three losses. Josh has way more TD runs that Lamar. We are about to wrap up the 2 seed at 13-3 while the Ravens are still in a battle to win their division at 11-5. Josh also doesn’t have a HOF RB at his side. I think the media generally wants to be able to give Josh the MVP award, so long as he doesn’t give them a reason not to at this point. If the Bills just beat the Jets on Sunday and Josh doesn’t have a bunch of turnovers, I think he’s still got a real great shot at it. But, the media can’t just sit there and glaze Josh nonstop when Lamar is putting up the best stats of his own career and just ignore that.
  13. I think Acho is reading that thinking Allen should be MVP, while Lamar OPOY potentially over Saquon, if Saquon doesn’t break the rushing record.
  14. When do the Super Bowl champs visit Disney World?
  15. Henry wasn’t on the team last year 🤔. I was discussing the Ravens/49ers game from last year and how that is what was the deciding factor in Lamar eventually winning MVP. Lamar played for one of the 1 seeds, and they beat the other 1 seed H2H with Lamar being deemed the biggest reason for Baltimore having as many wins. This was without the best stats in the league, but good enough. By same logic, if the team can just wrap up the 2 seed this Sunday, I think Josh has the best MVP case in the league this year. It tightened up in the past couple of games, but I think enough voters will still see it similarly.
  16. Lamar threw for 252 with 2 TDs, passer rating of 105.9, rushed for 45. In a matchup of the top two seeds, he was the top player on the winning team, even though he got a ton of help from his defense. If the D helps the Bills win this Sunday to land the 2 seed, I think Josh gets the MVP nod over Lamar, in spite of Lamar generally having the better overall stats.
  17. Have we been the one seed with Josh before, defeating the other one seed during the regular season with an impressive performance?
  18. I don’t think there’s a bias against Josh, Lamar has had a great season himself. The voters have valued wins more than stats alone in recent years. That’s why I’m pretty confident that if Josh just leads the team to victory on Sunday and clinches the 2 seed, he’ll still earn MVP over Lamar. If Josh doesn’t win after that, I could see otherwise about a bias. Some actually believe there’s a bias in favor of Josh this year, since he hasn’t won an MVP yet while Lamar has two, even though they both put up ridiculous numbers and wins.
  19. You’re right about the first part
  20. Man, a bunch of you guys are so reactionary. So because Lamar is having another great game, that completely takes away what Josh has done all season? Get a grip 😆
  21. I mean, you’re also claiming Lamar is winning the MVP as if there’s no doubt about that.
  22. Nah, Josh already has good enough numbers, has proven he’s the stud of the team with his MVP moments, and just needs to wrap up the 2 seed and better record than Lamar. Enough of the voting contingent recognizes Lamar’s numbers are really good too and in many cases better than Josh, but Lamar also has a HOF RB in Henry to lean on while Josh is viewed as having lost key pieces heading into this year. In general, voters going to give Josh his first MVP versus Lamar his third, with overall win/losses being the deciding factor. I think Lamar actually should be considered for OPOY, depending on whether Saquon breaks the rushing record or not.
