Josh diving for the pylon in the snow is literally the equivalent of the Air Jordan symbol and his slam dunk from the free throw line. Air Allen could literally be a marketing brand, just like Air Jordan. Sounds to me like Josh has Acho’s vote, which is where Acho has been until he questioned his position after Lamar’s performance on Christmas.

Baltimore has 4 even (Henry, Ricard, Flowers and their Center).

I take it this is the CBS vote you’re referencing? I mean even though Josh is the betting favorite and there’s lots of reasons he should win MVP, I would not be surprised at all if it’s a really close vote. Mina Kimes, Dianna Russini and at least some from the Athletic seem to be leaning Lamar. I’m really pulling for Myles Garrett playing this weekend and Schwartz’s D giving Lamar a tougher time than expected, as that could potentially shift some voters back to Josh. Also hoping the Pro Bowl selections further highlight Josh’s value v Lamar’s, but don’t necessarily trust some of the MVP voters to be that smart. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-mvp-watch-lamar-jackson-overtakes-josh-allen-as-joe-burrow-saquon-barkley-hang-around/amp/

Which media pundits specifically?

First Super Bowl game would be a decent reason

Will love arguing with Ravens fan about Lamar’s value to his team now. And Josh is also named the starter. This all bolsters Josh’s case.

Saquon doing nothing in the 2nd half of the Commanders game when Hurts went out and Pickett came in should tell everyone all they need to know about Saquon being an MVP or not. Josh is tapped the starter in the Pro Bowl game and the only other Bill is Dawkins, while Lamar has multiple other Pro Bowlers on his team. MVP voters should take note when deciding who is more valuable to their team: https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-pro-bowl-games-complete-afc-roster-revealed

Losing this game won’t move us up from pick #32.
-
Isn’t this technically last year’s list of voters?
-
If anything, maybe it highlights that some of these “experts” aren’t good judges of what they’re actually watching.
-
If you aren’t voting for Lamar, you aren’t supposed to disclose it. Because otherwise all the big babies come out and cry about Lamar’s stats being better than Josh’s.
-
Sounds right, the Bengals don’t have as strong a running game as the Bills or Ravens.
-
Right, but why wouldn’t you trade Josh Allen for Sam Darnold?
-
Yea I had to play it back, he said it quick.

Would you trade Josh Allen for Sam Darnold?

Apparently the Monday matchup is normally 4 v 5, so based on that, I think that’s least likely for us. Given Bal and Pit both play this Saturday, I’m figuring at least one of them on Saturday that weekend. That said, I’d put my money on us playing sometime on Sunday. Given Denver is a 2 hour time difference, it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re the 4 pm slot on Sunday or potentially SNF.

Just wait til we host the Ravens in the divisional round, and the debates/hype/etc. that will surround that matchup.
-
Broussard has an NBA MVP vote, not NFL. But if people like him are finally ceding to Allen, I’ve got faith the actual MVP voters will give Josh the majority vote.
-
No MVP has ever had more than 7 losses. No way Burrow gets MVP, even if Bengals get in the playoffs. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-player-with-most-losses-in-a-mvp-season

If Pitt rests their starters so that they end up with the 6 seed and a rematch with Ravens, I’m okay with that. Not really worried if the Bengals win, because it’d be a shocker if both the Broncos and Dolphins lose.

The staff should definitely get prepping for Denver, Miami and Cincy more this week, probably spending more time in Denver than the other two. The staff should already know Miami real well anyway. The odds are heavily in favor of us playing Denver. I’d be shocked if the staff hasn’t been prepping for potential playoff matchups already given we clinched the division a few weeks back. As for the extra day, our best guys should be fairly rested for the WC Round too, given I wouldn’t expect our best starters to be active or playing much against the Pats anyways.

The Jests only got ONE problem?
