Steve Czaban of Fox Sports Radio:

I play music and watch the game with the sound off. I CAN'T STAND is when Paul McGuire keeps saying ... as an NFL coach you just can't do this or do that over and over. NewsFlash ! I'm not a coach. I'm a viewer and I don't run an NFL team. They suck ! -
I'm glad to hear you made it through the storm OK. Good luck keeping it together. Surf

All this hub-bub about the Vikings Cruise...
Surfmeister replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You put Vikings ontheir own chartered ship on the water. Vikings! What do you expect is going to happen? -
Does the NFL realize it? They provide it. Get a grip man. "This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no fooling around ..."

It isn't far fetched. I've said this for years. Sumo wrestlers could open holes and pass block, but they lack quickness and speed. Instead they could teach present day O-Linemen their skills and benefit from the best of both worlds.

The Bills aren't just some product you buy
Surfmeister replied to ofiba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree My family is a part of who I am. My family from the itme each one of us is born is the same person. Same SS#. Same DNA. They stay that way until they die. The Bills are nothing more than a set of numbered jerseys. Rotate Flutie in one year, and a couple years later bring Bledsoe in. Put him in a Bills jersey and now Bledsoe's a Bill? Hardy. He's a Patriot in a Bills jersey and what did he do for us? The Bills used to be tied to my heart. Just like all of us. But then quite a few of us figured out the game. The owner and staff do what they have to do to sell tickets. Period. After that the W/L column can go to hell. Being sentimental is sweet and it will get posters to say ooo and ah. But is won't win football games. It does however keep the owner in money while he counts it in Detroit. I'm looking forward to the day when the Bills have a new owner who is dedicated to putting a winner on the field and not solely interested in only putting a mediocre product on the field and money in his pockets. -

Obervation about SB loss against Giants
Surfmeister replied to Peter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember that game like it was last Sunday. We did great in the first half. We were leading 12 - 10. We had a FG, a score and a safety by Bruce Smith. By halftime the bookies had counted all the bets and the word came in the Giants had to win so the bookies wouldn't lose their shirts. The fans knew the Bills could win and they were correct. If the Bills won the bookies would have had to pay out in a big way. Then something magical happened in the locker room and we came out flat and defeated in the second half. It was a good show but in the end the bookies were the real winners of that game. -
What happens if we go 1-15?
Surfmeister replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll get a shot at the # 1 draft choice but Ralph won't spend the $ so we'll draft someone from Fresno State. The Bills fans will say well there's always next year and Ralph will fly back to Detroit to enjoy the off season in a different state. -
Every single one of you guys know squat
Surfmeister replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know ... to cut the crap for a minute I have to agree with you on that one. Being an NFL football fan is a very personal thing. People want their team to win and they want to be right like mini-GMs and micro-Head Coaches about the good and bad involving their teams. If I were king blah blah blah ... The main thing is no matter how the season turns out, let's all try to enjoy it as much as possible while it is here for the simple reason that it will be done and gone way too soon. Have a great day man, and Let's Go Bills ! -
Not exaggerating: Bills are NFL's worst team now
Surfmeister replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh yeah, I've seen that exact photograph of Christ. That's the one where He "looks" like He's walking on water. But in reality, His big toe is resting on a normal Ritz cracker scooting across the water. Gotcha. -

Well if "every single one of us knows squat" why are you wasting your time talking to any of us at all? Don't you know more informed people that are on your level ? I hope so ... -
Ransom observations on the game
Surfmeister replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's a Ransom Observation ? Is that like just before you deliver the money to the kidnappers you notice the last $100,000 is missing and your girlfriend has a new car ? -

"Christ himself could descend from heaven on a Ritz cracker to play QB for the Bills and it wouldn't matter ..." Is that a normal size Ritz cracker you're talking about or an extra big flying carpet size one? I hate to disagree with you but if it was one of those big size Ritz crackers I think it would matter seeing as how a large portion of Bills fans are Roman Catholic. For one ... Christ could smote blitzing linebackers Himself. Turn them into a pillar of margarita salt or sumthin .. -
Has Blind Optimism Finally Been Replaced...
Surfmeister replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Season ticket sales again grow...Face it, all TD does is put people in the seats...not winners on the field. We will never win with him at GM and Ralph in the owners box." I have been saying this for years. Inside the offices at One Bills Drive it is a business that needs to make a profit. They need to be successful to keep the office staff and other workers employed. Their key to success is putting people in the seats. In the Buffalo market there is a magical thing that does this for the Bills front office ... hope. As long as the Bills fans have hope, they will buy the tcikets. Once the season tickets are sold, what happens on the field is sadly secondary. This is evident every off season while other teams are making exciting moves and trades there is nothing out of the Bills office. Bledsoe was a perfect example of a "new" player that gave the Bills fans enough hope to buy the tickets, but his play on the field behind the lame O Line was not the answer. Now he's gone, playing for the Tuna in Dallas. So with all this said and done ... Sunday rolls around in Buffalo New York. And it is either watch the Bills game in person or on TV or give up on the NFL. So people still watch the Bills. Just like that old old song by The Cars "You're all I've got tonight. I need you." -
You've been lurking? I thought I smelled something foul.
