I watched that entire game. It's similar to last year. Chargers were caught off guard. They adjusted a little better in the 2nd half. Got their hands on the receivers a little more. That's the key. You just need to slow them down at the LOS whenever possible. Chargers defense was late to adjust in this one.
That saying yeah they are scary if you don't set the tone early.
How about Knox dropping that ball on 1st and 15. How about Brown and Morse getting shoved back in Allen's face. Allen didn't respect the safety in the middle of the field and that took points away from us. That's on him. Things to learn from in this game but it was the first game. We've seen other QBs and offenses start slow. Josh took a big helmet to helmet hit on that fumble too, that wasn't called. It was a chit game but it was a team loss. The good news is we have the ability to control it. Against Miami or San Fran or maybe even Dallas that might be a different story. But we're still a very good team. Just got to get into the dance. We need to keep with the running game too. Need a little more power running game. We need to be able to run the ball when we want.
Looking forward to the episode tonight!
I like Saleh man hes a funny guy. That rap song came on in practice that all the young players wanted to play hes like "oh you don't know about this, this is my *****!" Though that was funny.
I feel like Shaq Lawson has slightly better burst being a vet with a better pass rush skill set and more stout in run game. I'm glad we kept him. KJ too has a lot of juice.
That'd be really interesting if Elam could hold up doing that. I don't know enough about Wilson and his separating skills if that would affect him (effectively). He can separate on Sauce so in guessing Elam would wiff or hold on too long for it to be effective but it's an interesting thought.
I feel like if our OTs and Gabe Davis can have really good games that's a recipe to win this game. I feel like our interior matches up decent against their DTs.
I feel like if Brown can have a career game that's really big towards a W.
One underrated matchup is Quinton Jeffersons experience vs Torrence's inexperience. Which will win... savy vs youth and athleticism? That's a big key.
Quinten William's will get his against Edward's or whoever. I feel alot better if McGovern is ready to go... but hes a little tender right now.
Yeah I feel like between the three of them we just need to figure out how to get to third and long withing the first two sets of our opponents downs on their prosessions.
Shut down the run and get off the field.
Same as it's always been.
No green dot with Dime but I'm sure they can call it in from the sideline.
