Just can't see Edwards starting. First, because he is not credible. Edwards is part of the culture of the past. Futile decision making in terms of risk/reward and timing. A relevant option as a back up perhaps but Fitzpatrick and Brohm are also worth speculating on for those backup spots. A true Starter is warranted NOW. Whether or not he starts immediately is another story. The criticism of Edwards is legit and not misplaced. Unless Nix thinks the first step in correcting problems is accepting the fact that some improvements may come by managing the failures of the past while new talent matures he may be pressed to stand pat or look to free agency. Can anyone say Mike Vick???? The aftermath of this past decade will not evaporate. It will take years to build a dominant "decade team". Pressing with a rookie quarterback and unproven O-line could be devastating to the rookies' development. We have been patient and revenge will come on those teams that have a sense of security in the top tiers of the league. We can't set our wrist watches for this next season being a contender year, but I don't see Thurman and Kelly or any proven head coach putting their pride and reputations on the line by backing Nix as just another stunt of the money making machine.

The new decade is upon us and The Byrd Man is just the first of many draft pro bowlers to come from the Bills going forward. Loved the idea of a teaching coach with strong coordinators and strength training. Also loved what Nix had to say about strong armed quarterbacks and nasty linemen who are built for this weather and outdoor arena.

It has to start with the FRONT OFFICE. Loved the pass play to Fred Jackson last year that sealed the Bills victory and probably was the final nail in Shanny's coffin. Look forward to the Bills lowering the boom on the next team he coaches.

Chances are pretty good that T.O. will be long gone after the Falcons game never to be heard from again. Big time void considering most people think the main draft needs don't even include receivers. Shawn Nelson, Lee, Hardy, and Johnson could be a nice combo considering that Lynch and Jackson can catch. But that's all speculation. Best of luck to Johnson. Love the guy.

Love it! The Byrd man and the secondary of the Bills have the swagger and have earned league wide respect. The rest of the team needs identity and consistency. Incognito has passion. Said he was sick of losing and raging at everything. If the new regime doesn't resign Incognito and lets him go off to Miami so he can beat the snot out of Stroud next year that would be a shame. Hope he works out and sets the tone that he is here to stay and whip up on whoever he can get his big mitts on. Steamrollers baby! Incognito is a great start. Brady and Moss will come out hot and bothered by the hoopla and negative media. The problem is that they are going to get greedy and Byrd will play the role of assassin. Let Brady and the boys come out for a fight. Byrd is a wildman and if the pass rush can bring the heat chances are pretty good we'll see some fireworks from the bills secondary. Can't get the Jauron games back.. Byrd is the man. Run the ball and stomp the Patriots with the Fast Freddie and the Beast. Pound Welker endlessly with no mercy and ring his bell on special teams. After being manhandled by the Jets two weeks ago they need to get mean. real mean. They better have it in em or they will get beat down and rightfully so. Getting spanked over the last decade by the prettiest little QB golden boy hurts bad. Earning respect could start with the last three games. The Bills need to get that swagger back. Love the experience players like Byrd, Levitre, Nelson, Maybin are getting. Not to mention even Posluszny getting consistent playing time now that the arm bar seems to be working. I doubt Poz is going anywhere anytime soon so there are bright spots out there and a win is a win.

QB talk is really just commentary unless the Bills stabilize that line. Such old news isn't really news, but oh well. Carousels are for the carnival and without depth and identity this offense will continue to rot regardless of the hot shot QB they draft or the Free agent veteran. Levitre will be back as well as Hangartner and possibly Butler. Wood may never be right again. Damn shame really the cards fell that way. Who knows maybe with some time Kendall Simmons could be the answer to losing Wood for next year in all probability. Bell could be a good back up, but there has to be an answer there. Maybe Santa Claus could fill in. He is big and is as nimble as they come. Kind of like Jason Peters. Except Santa will actually work for the love of the fans alone.

Grimm sounds like a beastly biker no BS kind of coach who could fit in here. Blue collar guy who knows how to win football by being sound and physical. Did anyone see the Thursday night Jets game that looked like a public spanking. If Sanchez wasn't hurt the score would have been uglier than it was. Disgusting.
