There isn't a human alive with more knowledge of the NFL, past or present, than Gil Brandt. His memory is amazing. Noob? LOL, just cause I'm new HERE doesn't necessarily make me a noob. Can't tell if your praise for Brant was sarcasm or not. But, anyone who doesn't know Bennett is not in the Hall or thinks Reed doesn't belong in the Top 45 WRs can't be too credible a source. JMO Well, some of this guys with high post counts think they run the board. It gets old after a while. I don't have a high post count as I lost my original screen name way back when the server was done over. I was going to Bills games at the old Rockpile when some of these people were in diapers & shook hands with many of the greats. Yet, I notice that many of these thread Nazis cope an attitude with other posters. Whether your new to the board or been a round a while, post away & have a fun time; that's what the board is for.
  2. I also think it could be Eric Wood, depending on how his legs are & his salary.
  3. I agree; he couldn't wait to get out of Buffalo----he was to good for the Bills. Well maybe now the Bills are too good for him.
  4. I think we will be fine without him.
  5. He looked a little slow in is last year with the Bills, but he was coming off injury. I posted this under Yolo's post cuz he seems to know a lot of the rules. My question is, if the Bills sign Fred to a vet min contract & then stash him on IR could he still be like a player coach & be around practices. The guy has a wealth of knowledge. If he had to activated for 3 or 4 games, I don't think his running would be as good as before but I think he could block & get open out of the back field to catch passes.
  6. How do the rules work, can we sign him to a longer deal mid season ?
  7. I think Ragland could turn out to be a really good player for us. Shaq looked a little slow to me but he was coming off an injury; if he doesn't turn into a pass rusher, hopefully he will still be a good tackling DE who can hold the edge.

  9. Can't help it, had to post this from an old thread. Hope Mr. Zulu is around to read the stench !!! Because I don't; and didn't on the 23rd of April when I made my comment. The "sheriff" simply said he was rehabbing nicely from his injury. Also, the actual "sheriff" said CK was polite and courteous throughout whatever occurred last month. Can't really smell the coffee over the stench of what you're spewing.
  10. Ha Ha---wake up & smell the coffee. There is certain parameters for professionals. There is a new sheriff in town---he'll be gone soon. Another wasted draft pick from the old regime.
  11. Apparently he's not real experienced with scouting players but is really good with contract issues. so he'll be more of a Bean counter !!!
  12. Kind of sad, what a waste.
  13. Encouraging, my number one priority for a QB is accuracy. The fact that he has great vision is nice. Most of the failed QB's we had in the last 20 years were not accurate.
  14. Didn't know Henderson had suspension time left. Seems like he served a lot of time last yr. A couple of yrs ago the Viikings wanted to trade for Henderson but it was only like a 6th rounder.
  15. Seems like a good pick. We have a lot of tackles on the roster, I wonder if they'll trade Kojo or Henderson ?
  16. I understand that & I do like the player, but there was going to be several other very good players available if we stood pat. He might have even been there.
  17. Dam, now I am bummed out !!
  18. No I do understand the draft. Your giving up something of greater value for something of lesser value.
  19. No your swapping something of greater value for something of lesser value. It's more like a dollar for 2 quarters.
  20. Well, moving from a 3rd Rd pick to a 4th Rd pick is giving up a pick in my mind.
  21. Hate giving up picks, but I really like this player---good bloodlines & good character. There might have been some better players on the board but they have baggage. We can't afford anymore bad actors on this team.
  22. BPA. You can never have too many blue chippers.
  23. Thanks---this made me laugh !!!
