  1. Philly wants Spiller- so a trade down is possible
  2. Last draft pick I got right was Lynch but here it goes Bills trade their #1 (9) and Whitner to Philly for their #1 (24) their #2 from Washington (37) # and their #3 (70) 1. Charles Brown LT 2a Linval Joseph, 3-4 DE 2b Vladimir Ducasse OG/OT 3a Jason Worilds OLB 3b. Torell Troup NT 4. Brandon Spikes ILB 5. Anthony Dixon RB 6a Scott Long WR 6b, 7a,7b, traded to Washington for Jason Campbell
  3. Now that Davis and Brown have had there workouts I can rate the OTs 1. Okung still the best combination of very good tape and athletic qualities 2a. Bryan Bulaga while not the best athlete no athletic flaw disqualifies him, might be ready sooner to come in a contribute at a high level, solid tape, size, technique, and attitude puts him #2a just slightly ahead of 2b. Trent Williams size and arm length are good but not elite- good technique and experience- athletic qualities are outstanding- had a rough start to the 2009 season for different reasons but looked much better by the end of the season- has positional versatility could probably play at a good level anywhere on the line- on the other hand might not play at an elite level anywhere on the line- does not have overwhelming power and attitude is more workman like than consistently nasty. 4. Bruce Campbell- has the best combination of size, arm length, athletic qualities and conditioning of any of the OTs- but he also has less experience, inconsistent tape (pass blocking is much better than run blocking), might play down to the level of competition, might be a little high cut reducing his leverage and balance. I personally don't see the bust potential but do believe he might take longer to get to full potential. 5. Anthony Davis- stopped the bleeding with a pretty good workout and interviews- could he move back up to the Raiders at eight? while not quite as athletic as Campbell or Williams he has better heft and a nastier on field attitude two qualities the Raiders like in their OTs. 6, Charles Brown- had a bad pro-day pulled a hamstring running the 40 his third injury when on display( senior bowl, combine, pro day) also only benched 20 times (21 at combine) - has good tape as a pass blocker and a good pro-day where he would show that he can get bigger and stronger say 305+ and 25+ while maintaining athletic qualities would have moved him up the board but now he's starting to look injury prone and hasn't addressed size strength concerns. Just a note on the what happens if all the good OTs are taken scenario - 1. I don't see 4 or even 3 OTs being taken before the Bills pick too many good players would have to drop lower than where they are rated 2. Even if that happened it might not make a difference in that while I think Okung is the #1 OT I think Bulaga,Williams,Campbell, and Davis are not clear cut and could be in any order depending on the coaches preference so even if 4 OTs are taken before the Bills pick the Bills 2nd rated OT could still be there- and if worse came to worse and all the OTs the Bills like were taken it would mean that multiple highly rated players have dropped leaving the Bills in prime position to trade down.
  4. Not that crazy, some think he could be all world as an OLB or as some have said as good as juicing Shawne Merriman but without the juice.
  5. Fed **** and kept in the dark
  6. Not a question about being pissed off or not the question is does he have any value on a 3-4 defense- at his age I see his greatest value as being a pass rush specialist on a 4-3 team that wants to win right now and does not care too much about the future. on a 3-4 defense he's an OLB a position I'm not sure he can play- I think he'd like the Bills to cut him so he could sign a two year deal with the Texans.
  7. I like it but must fiddle Bills Picks: 1. Jimmy Clausen / QB / Notre Dame 2a. Traded to Baltimore for Gaither OT 2b. Vladimir Ducasse og/ot 3a. Linval Joseph / 3-4 DE / East Carolina 3b. Cam Thomas NT 4. Jordan Shipley / WR / Texas 5. To Baltimore for Gaither 6a. Reggie Carter / LB / UCLA 6b. Deji Karim / RB / Southern Illinois 7a. Thomas Austin / OG / Clemson 7b. Dane Fletcher / LB / Montana St.
  8. since we are speculating- how about lynch to NE, a second rd pick to Baltimore and Gaither to us- this would give us lots of options with our 1st two picks- BPA like Berry, Spiller, Bryant, or Clausen - trade down and take Williams, Iupati, or Kindle.
  9. While I'd like a big signing, the smart use of a big signing in free agency is to get over the hump- say from a 8-8 or 9-7 club to a playoff contender or a playoff team to a super-bowl contender- but there is no sense putting fancy rims or a carbon fiber hood on a Yugo.
  10. There is no one player you could trade for a 1st - the only possible way to get a first is to trade many players for low level picks and then use those picks to move up- lets say you could get a 3rd for Lynch, a 3rd for Whitner, a 4th for Schobel, a 6th for McCargo, a 6th for Kelsay giving us these draft picks 1, 2, 3,3,3,4,4,5,6,6,6,6,7,7, general rule of thumb is that you can move up 1 rd with two picks in the lower rd- so with out showing the math you could get 1,1,2,4,5,6 - you give up a lot of picks to get an extra 1.
  11. I rate them Okung, Bulaga, Williams, Campbell, Davis, Brown - I think most teams have Okung #1 and Brown #6 but the middle 4 guys are not clear cut at all and where they are drafted is going to depend on team preferences.
  12. There are a lot of Antoine Smiths are you talking about the one with a super bowl ring.
  13. Maybe Clausen would be a good pick but I have two concerns- 1. He has small hands compared to other QBs (9inch) so can he throw well in cold wet windy conditions because that seems to be about half of the Bills games 2. is he durable enough to take the hits he's going to get playing behind the Bills offensive line.
  14. geez do we have to play the 3-4 is it the law, did we take an oath or something, is there a penalty if we back out I mean really- we didn't suck against the run because we played a 4-3 we sucked because we played an asinine version of the 4-3 and didn't even do that well- replace Ellison, Kelsey, and get a decent DT in the rotation with Stroud and Williams - and have an offense that scores enough to make the other team have to pass once in a while and we'd be ok.
  15. really? ok who blocked for Bradford?
  16. I like It except I think Tony Washington goes a couple rounds earlier- but man you got to be careful about having the Bills pick Trent Williams I had the Bills taking him in a mock a couple months ago and this draft expert who has his own online site just jumped all over me really ripped me a new one- I'd hate for that to happen to you.
  17. Bravo Bravo that is freaken fantastic - a quality piece of work my man.
  18. A. you must not have the gene that allows you to recognize sarcasm- must be nice to think everyone is complimenting you. B. how the hell did I forget McCargo from that list
  19. yeah that's my main point, my other points are anyone can be traded it all depends on the deal, but if you are going to say trade someone tell us for what and with who and at least be plausible, my next points are 1.damn with the move to 3-4 there are a lot of Bills who are not great fits in that system, 2. with the Bills in totally rebuilding mode are any players over 30 worth keeping, 3. are we ever going to get a QB who can throw a deep ball and make Evans worth the money 4 what does it say about this board when stupid posts like this one gets replies but when I actually try to take the time to write a thoughtful post nada.
  20. Imagine all the draft picks- probably mostly 6ths and 7ths - but this would totally open us up to taking the BPA as we would suck everywhere and almost assure us the #1 pick next year.
  21. Is this a sample of what I got to post to get a reply- OK then you reap what you sow.

  23. I really don't understand all the Langston Walker hate around here, he was an average right tackle which made him one of the better offensive linemen we had. If there's scorn to go around it should go to former GMs and coaches - the whole Peters thing was handled badly in every aspect from start to finish- moving Walker to LT!!! I mean seriously Who TF thought that was a good idea- the only thing I think Walker should be criticized for is his weight if the guy had the disciple to get his weight to 340-350 instead of 380-400 he could go from average to above average maybe even sneak into a pro bowl.
  24. Round 1 - C.J. Spiller - RB - Clemson- may or may not be there when the Bills pick I'd hate this pick- I'd like a LT, would accept a NT, QB, dominate OLB, or a special player like Suh, McCoy or Berry but Spiller is like putting fancy rims on a car with flat tires and no engine. Round 2 - Roger Saffold - LT- I have no problem with this pick except I don't think this is a guy who can come in right away and play at a high level Round 3 - Lamar Houston - DE- the only problem I have with this pick is that I think he has more value as a 4-3 DT than a 3-4 DE and think he will be taken before the Bills pick Round 4 - Levi Brown - QB- don't know him well enough to comment Round 5 - Jason Worilds - OLB- won't be there at 5 might not be there at three
  25. exactly right- and like what Favre did it's good for the player not the team- a trade limits the players options and leverage
