  1. do different people have different resistance to injury? you betcha - is Trent on the lower end of that spectrum? probably- has the Bills average to god awful offensive contributed? of course
  2. all I know is that the Oakland fans hated him- and said he made Langeston Walker look like an all pro
  3. There is a plan- the plan is to suck so we can get one of the good QBs next year
  4. On the other hand I've heard for about 10 years the line " who are (you or they) to rate the Bills draft you're not professional football scouts or GMs - yes who are we to complain about picking Whitner over Ngata, or Parrish over Vince Jackson, who are we to complain about Cornell Green who's claim to fame is to do the impossible and make Raiders fans yearn for the return of Langston Walker- why does a team that will probably achieve the coveted longest non playoff streak deserve the benefit of the doubt when players are thrown under the bus for one bad season.
  5. If I was Tony Washington I'd shave my head, change my name to Ron Mexico and apply for Canadian citizenship and if I were the Bills I'd help him do it.
  6. ummm why can't we throw the franchise tag on him like every other team does with their good players
  7. I rate Evans as the 20th best WR in the NFL- which makes him one of the better Bills- I wish people on this board would stop trying to get players cut at least until they got someone better to replace him with- as for money maybe I'd consider that argument if the Bills had a history of using saved money to get better players but they don't have that history, they have a history of cutting or letting go overpaid players and pocketing the money and filling in with scrubs.
  8. 1. yeah any Coach has to be better than (Phillips I mean Williams I mean Malarky I mean Juaron) 2. The talent has improved? no proof what so ever, especially relevant to other teams 3. net points minus 68 4. Our Division use to be NE and three teams with their heads up their Butts two of those teams decided to come out for air our team wasn't one of the two.
  9. Optimism is what I had when Obama first got elected but then reality set in and you see you got more of the same in a somewhat more articulate package - Same thing with the Bills I had some Optimism but now reality has set in with our off-season, the NFL is now a passing league really has been a passing league for the last 20 years, the most important position is QB and the most important unit is Offensive line, the Bills OL was one of the worst last year, Bell and Woods are coming off injuries, the Bills lost Butler, Scott, Incognito- Bills sign Cornell Green 33 year old OT who's chief claim to fame is making Raider fans yearn for the return Langston Walker, and draft Ed Wang who is no sure thing and Calloway who I pray can be a good RG letting Wood play center because Hangartner is pretty bad- Bell, Levitre, Wood, Calloway, Meredith is the best we got right now- you have to try really hard to be optimistic about that OLine.
  10. Simply not true- he was rated 6th to 2nd on the draft sites I go to and that was before the combine- you can watch him play on youtube his run blocking isn't great but his pass blocking is pretty good- his problem was that he doesn't play up to his perceived physical talent ( but I'd say what I saw on video was as good as Davis and Williams only Bulaga, Okung and Brown looked really good) and has had some medical concerns.
  11. well if it was me I'd get him and screw the 3-4 , LDE Edwards and Carrington DTs Stoud, Henderson, Williams, Troup RDE Maybin, Schobel-Move POZ Outside and throw Davis inside - not a world class defense but should be stout against the run
  12. Brohm might develop into a good QB Bell might develop into a good LT Meredith might develop into a good RT Calloway might take over RG Wood might return to form we might find a WR to pair with Evans we might have a TE in Nelson and our RBs should be fine
  13. ok the draft is done time to look to the future my guess at the starting 5- LT Bell, LG Levitre, C Wood, RG Calloway, RT Meredith Reserves LT Wang, C Hangartner, Green, Nick Hennessey
  14. In the 8th Century, B.C. Hesiod wrote: "I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words. When I was a boy, we were taught to be discrete and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise and impatient of restraint." and so it goes kids today are spoiled back in my youth we didn't have the wheel or fire
  15. Is he better than Chris Johnson? because Chris Johnson for all his greatness got the Titians to 8-8, I don't think the Bills had a terrible draft but this is a passing league and you need competence at QB and OL, are the Bills prepared to be competent in those two areas now? well see.
  16. football is like 80% morons- guys with average intelligence are like geniuses
  17. I think Meredith would make a better RT than Bell- Bell is very athletic but he needs to improve his strength and technique, has he been putting in the hard work with the weights? he didn't have the improvement last year that I was wishing for went from 305 to 307 not much of an improvement, but we do seem to have more serious conditioning program now so I am somewhat hopeful.
  18. you might be right Jackson probably has more value at this point then Lynch in any trade.
  19. Spiller = fancy rims on my beater- I really hope Nix knows something we don't like Bell found his fathers genes and put on 25 lbs of muscle- I do have high hopes for Bell and Meredith but hope they can get at least two decent OLmen in the next three picks.
  20. The sky says I've fallen and can't get up
  21. I think Philly wants Spiller to replace Westbrook- Bills trade their #1 and Whitner for Philly's #1 #2(37) and #3(70)
  22. good power plant but high cut and a bit of a waist bender, stout at point of attack, wins the fight in the phone booth or has suddenness, can pick his way through the trash, typewriter feet, plays with bad intentions, or breaks ankles with his change of direction, knows how to get small,
  23. or later 5.03 forty really ruined him- but I watched him knock the snot out of a lot of players in college and that should count for something- also a guy who knows where the hell he's going plays a lot faster than his forty time.
  24. While Bulaga might not have the upside of some of the OTs I think he has less bust potential than Davis, Campbell, Brown- there has to be something to be said about a guy who comes in and starts right away and is solid for ten years.
  25. I think if Spiller is there at 9 that we will have at least 3 teams looking to trade up- Philly being one of them- I'd be cool with your two 2nd rounders but I don't know about a first for Tebow.
