"Hell no... I'm going to bed." - Buddy Nix
Las Vegas Calling... replied to Chilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have not been really impressed with this year's crop of free agents. Since the Bills are goint to build through the draft and they are not going to sign many free agents, why not get a good night's sleep? We all will have much to talk about after the draft. -

I voted 5-11. Too many holes to fill in just one season. -
Missing Rings: The 1990 Buffalo Bills
Las Vegas Calling... replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched it last night. All the emotions came back. It was like it was 20 years ago. The pride for Buffalo and the Bills, the fond memories of the Kelly Bills, the excitment of our Bills FINALLY taking part in a Super Bowl. The missed kick by Norwood still hurt just as much as it did two decades ago. But my anger was not for Scotty or the Bills of the 90's. I became angry at the current Bills because watching the Bills lose the Super Bowl reminds me of just how much this team has fallen. I also liked how Darryl Tally stated that they had four "bites at the apple" and couldn't finish the job. That honesty is refreshing in this day and age. -
Josh Reed visits the Pats.

It's called the Buffalo curse. For some reason, when you leave the Bills or Sabres, your career takes off! I don't have any explainations for it, I have just lived through this all my life. -
I'M WAITING.....I'M STILL WAITING.........

Agreed. -
The Bills don't need LT. He was cut by the Chargers because he is not the back he used to be. Kind of like OJ in 1978-79.

Hitler isn't happy the US beat Canada
Las Vegas Calling... replied to tomdayfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very Funny. Canada is not happy. I don't think that we have beaten Canada in the Olympics since 1960. I don't remember if we beat them in 1980. -
Bills #30 in 2010-2011 Rankings-Ouch
Las Vegas Calling... replied to gobills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jason La Canfora's opinion is spot on. The AFC East Basement will belong to the Bills for many years. I like the way Buddy Nix is talking, and believe that the Bills should be on the road to respectability within a few years, but the other teams in the division are much too strong for the Bills to beat out. Please don't hate the messenger because this team is horrible. As much as I want to see the Bills win a super bowl before I die (I'm only 41), I know that they are at least three years away from even possibly making a playoff appearence. The Bills are currently a 2-14 team that somehow managed a 6-10 record. -
Bills Wall of Fame, yes. NFL HOF, no. He was a very good player, but not quite good enough for the NFL HOF. Just my opinion...

This Was Super Bowl 25 Revisted
Las Vegas Calling... replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. The clincher was when Peyton's int was returned for a Saints TD. I told my co-workers "its over now". -
What year will we return to the Super Bowl?
Las Vegas Calling... replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2030 if the team is still in Buffalo by that time! Let's win one! -
Agree. In Vegas, many people that I talk to tell me that they used to root for the Bills to win one of their SB's. However, those days were almost 20 years ago, and since this team has not even sniffed the playoffs for ten years, the team is not relavant. If the Bills were to win again, much of the country would be happy for them, much like how people are happy for the Saints franchise this year. The Bills deserve all of the mockery that the national media gives them. Every bit of it! The people of Buffalo do not. When I return to Buffalo, I see tons of potential in the area. You all need to chill out a little, drop your oppressive taxes, make the area business friendly again, and watch WNY take off. I hope to see it happen.

I remember that game. Van Miller stated "Buffalo, we have a quarterback!"

Who is the GREATEST Bill of All-Time ??
Las Vegas Calling... replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OJ was the best Bill player ever. That's why it's so painfull that he became such a jerk later in life. Jim Kelly is my #2. Thurman Thomas #3, Bruce Smith #4, Andre Reed #5. -
Answer this as honestly as you can..

Does Ralph Owe Buffalo a Succession Plan?
Las Vegas Calling... replied to wisebill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He owes the city nothing. The Bills are a business, and can be moved if the new owner of the team wishes and the NFL approves. Unfortuantly, I will have to find a new team to root for when that day comes. Unless the new owner decides to keep the team in Buffalo. -
Good one! I don't think that the Pats or Fish have been scared of the Bills since 99.

Anyone Else Just Feeling Numb about this Hiring?
Las Vegas Calling... replied to Beerstm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are correct. Typical Bills move. Sometimes, like in 1986, it works. -
I don't care if he is a good ol boy as long as he wins!

After 35 years of being a Bills fan
Las Vegas Calling... replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are discussing the Bills! Anything is possible. -
I respectfully disagree. This in normally how the Bills and RW go about hiring front office staff and coaches. If you look at the Bills history of hiring coaches you will notice that the Bills usually hire someone that RW trusts, or knows from the past, or is recommended from someone on RW's inner circle. The haphazzard fashion in which the coaching search is being conducted is normal for the Bills. As a fan, all you can do is hope that RW makes the correct choice this time. Time will tell. I am sick of missing the playoffs.
