  1. It wasn't a matter of a agreeing with it or not, it was an understanding of a reality that we could not control. In the late 80's a Kurdish friend of mine who lives in LA(grew up in Chicago) told me of his Grandfathers dining room table ... He said it was an an unexploded missile that landed in his kitchen and sunk half way done into the floor (war prior to 1970). A piece of plywood later and it was a table. Point being is that Kurdistan will never be at rest and when we pull from Iraq we'll see what Jose has to say then
  2. Well no sooner do I speak of the devil ... here is a good read Pakistan's Failing War on Terror
  3. Many ----- understood WHY a dictator needed to be ruling that shithole.... It would have been easier to tell Turkey to !@#$ off ... and then create an independent Kurdistan. That would have garnered International support (and we could have set up a base there)
  4. Nothing can be done in Astan while Pakistan is still a cluster!@#$ The strategy is "Pakistan" but no one can say that publicly no will you here about it in the media All the news about Astan can be considered smoke and mirrors to a large degree Follow Pakistan's development, or lack there of
  5. Fruck! I guess it was the wrong time to play Brady. I'm down by 8 with that last interception and this game is for first place in my division
  6. ...and of course the story ends Some studies examining how employers review black and white job applicants suggest that discrimination may be at play. "Black men were less likely to receive a call back or job offer than equally qualified white men," said Devah Pager, a sociology professor at Princeton University, referring to her studies a few years ago of white and black male job applicants in their 20s in Milwaukee and New York. "Black men with a clean record fare no better than white men just released from prison."
  7. That was good read, well done.
  8. I hear ya From Perry's perspective, 9 times out of 10 for the Bills offense, running the ball up the middle is kneeling down.
  9. Yeah we were being insensitive, we should have throttled back our high scoring beast of an offense at that point. Maybe we should have just gone for a field goal
  10. The one good thing that happened was it helped bring more attention to the shelters and the animals.
  11. Psst, lets re-examine "Operation Orchard" (2007) and its connection with Iran I found some worthy reporting and a decent read -parts 1-7 How Israel Destroyed Syria's Al Kibar Nuclear Reactor Personally I'm not sure how much Israel wants the U.S. media in any covert ops loop .. my bet is none. BTW, Some still feel we have a bone to pick with Israel over the "USS Liberty" The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a U.S. Navy intelligence ship
  12. Thanksgiving Pooch dog rides in a U.S. soldier's backpack on Combat Outpost Jeleran, Afghanistan. The dog, named Cookie, is the unofficial mascot of the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment.

  15. Haha, you haven't read very many of my post so I would hold off on any assumption`of my capabilities to act as an adult Those(all) who become involved with radical Islam now filter all their past, present and future world though those beliefs and act according ... Regardless what caused the straw to break the camels back there will be enough evidence later to prove he fell victim to the radical ideology and acted on it with conviction, passion and purpose .. hence the statement "Allah Akbar" and not "I'm gonna get you suckas" Could this have been prevented .. yes. Is he an accidental terrorist...only in America
  16. "I used to love her, but i had to kill her I had to put her, six feet under and I can still hear her complain" - Guns N' Roses I guess he had a solution to fix that problem
  17. Amen to that ... but Butler wasn't bad and was a Polian protege and helped build the Chargers
  18. Well you could argue that Hasan simply went "postal" because of the harsh working environment (mental disorder is contagious) and the insensitivity of his peers dealing with his distress. The only problem with that defense is that his political and religious belief was at the core of his distress and dysfunction. His conscientious objection could have been handled in a peaceful manner but he chose an act of violence, consistent with the acts of the ones he sympathized with. A little off the subject but I feel a very good read: A Quaker in the Military - Reflections of a Pacifist among the Warriors
  19. Note: An "increase in taco indulgence" requires peak conditioning of all enthusiasts
