Any opinions?
I'm thinking about picking up a Sony "pocket size" reader. I meant to buy a Kindle like 2 years ago but wasn't sure if they were worth it. Anyone own one?
Is there another thread for this?
I don't understand why the lady is wearing the 55 gal drum / bar b q with a rotisserie rod across her forehead and what looks like a hamburger patty on top of her head.
I noticed that as I was hoping to see a quick decisive headbump before any one would see what happened as she fell to the ground
You know in retrospect I think Reagan's liberal critics deserve an equal amount of credit for bringing down the wall...
If not for their psychotic criticism...ie helping to create his Mega Monster War Monger persona... could Reagan alone have instilled the fear in the Soviet Union that would put them on their heels and make them want to make nice.
Or did Reagan use them in his propaganda knowing exactly how the media could be used (if so, wonderfully done)
For a starting point...Know what a fire team is, how many men are in it, and what weapon each one carries....
That would be a good prerequisite for those who don't know and want to discuss weapons issued and used
2nd force recon retired weapons instructor retired (and brother at arms) @ (Devgru) informed me of the Saginaw (he owns one as well) and of the M50 which was a 45cal....(as we discussed the movie)
Interesting footage Guadalcanal (4/4) - Battlefront see a Thompson ? @ 1:00 mark
(besides the live footage of combat check the weapons you see as well and the camouflage the Japanese are wearing...)
My main point of contention was the march through the jungle in the movie never showed them being under sniper fire .. or any of the hand to hand...but they managed a friendly fire seen of a doc
My comments aren't about the real men or what really transpired just the way they are portrayed
I just bought "Touched with Fire: The Land War in the South Pacific" at Amazon / good reviews
at the moment I'm reading through
